Chapter 39 Weylin's Gentle
Weylin crouched down to be level with the Son. Little Aiden waited for the two adults to explain.
"Aiden, we're not fighting. We're just having a difference of opinion. Now would you like to go inside first?" Weylin said softly.
Adriana was taken aback, not expecting that Weylin would act like that.
She should be the one who explained to Aiden but her anger made her blind so she just kept her mouth shut.
She let Weylin explain anything to make Aiden not complain about their fighting that actually made him confused. She was sure about that.
"All right, Uncle. I will come in again," Aiden answered obediently.
"Yes, Dear. Come in!" Weylin said with a smile.
After Weylin saw the Son had gone inside, the man immediately said, "I beg you. You've misunderstood. I just want to fix things. I know I'm really at fault here. So, allow me to make things right again."
"Adriana sighed and replied, "Up to you. But remember, don't hurt Aiden."
"No, Miss Lieven," Weylin said.
"Okay, maybe I better go home first. Tomorrow I will come to pick up Aiden," Weylin said again.
Adriana replied, "Hmm."
Weylin couldn't protest, he had indeed made a grave mistake and it was a pity he only realized it now. It's good, Adriana Lieven didn't shoot him on the spot after what he did. If he had been a member of the Kelsey family, he would have killed her without mercy.
Suddenly his mind drifted to Manchester. What happened if his parents find out that he had a child with Kelsey? Then how did Kelsey's own parents react? Weylin swallowed his saliva in fear.
They would really kill me. What else would I do in the hospital. Damn it.
"Weylin, how could you be such an asshole in the past?" he muttered while driving to his apartment.
Accidentally, his car passed Kelsey's car but only Kelsey knew it. Kelsey could only frown in confusion.
As soon as she finished parking her car in her aunt's yard, her still very beautiful aunt was already on her hands and knees staring at her intently, "Well, he's gone I guess," Kelsey said nervously.
Adriana sighed in annoyance, "What have you done, Kels? Didn't you say you wouldn't let him know if he was your child?"
Kelsey approached the Aunt, "Where's Aiden?"
"Don't divert the question, Kelsey Lieven," Adriana said annoyed.
Kelsey cringed hearing that, "No. I'm not diverting the conversation, Auntie."
"Come on, tell me now how did Weylin know about Aiden?" Adriana asked.
Kelsey scratched her ear, "It's because I wasn't careful enough, Auntie. So, it turned out that he had been visiting Aiden at his school for a few days. They are close. Weylin did a DNA test on Aiden and well of course he knows that Aiden is his son."
Adriana couldn't believe it, "So you just let him go with Aiden? Kelsey, what were you thinking? Do you think to give him a chance to take Aiden from you? Is that true?"
Kelsey took a deep breath, "Auntie, this is really hard for me. But, if it makes Aiden happy, I will."
"How do you know he's happy with Weylin?" Adriana asked sarcastically.
Kelsey bit her lower lip, she knew it's not easy but she had to do it. That's for Aiden's good.
"He already has Gerald. What are you doing with Weylin?" Adriana added.
Kelsey felt cornered but she tried to explain it with a cool head, not wanting to show emotion, "Of course I know. I'm his mother, Auntie. I know everything. Indeed Gerald also loves Aiden, Aiden also loves Gerald. But I don't I've never seen
Aiden's eyes so sparkling. Only with Weylin he does."
"Just because of that?" Adriana said in a confusion.
She was disappointed with her niece.
"No. Aiden needs Weylin and this is the perfect time for him to get to know his father. After all, Weylin promised ...."
"And you believe that, Kels? Are you willing to sacrifice your relationship with Gerald just for Weylin's sake?" Adriana asked sharply.
To be honest Kelsey didn't expect her aunt to react like that. She thought her aunt would be more receptive to it.
Unfortunately, it seemed that her auntie did not see from Aiden's point. It made her confused to explain more things about her willingness to make Aiden know about his father.
"Auntie, this has absolutely nothing to do with Gerald. Gerald and I are fine," Kelsey said.
"Yeah, now it is. Who knows how it will be? Don't be stupid, Kels. You've been living alone with Aiden and you're fine. Why do you suddenly need Weylin?" Adriana's words were getting worse.
Kelsey really couldn't take it anymore, with a trembling voice she said, "Who said I'm fine, Auntie? I'm not okay. Not good at all."
Kelsey was on the verge of tears, Adriana was shocked. This was not what she wanted. She just wanted Kelsey to realize that her actions could ruin everything she built.
"Auntie, please understand. It's not me who needs Weylin but Aiden. He needs his biological father, Auntie."
The young woman's tears had already fallen down her cheeks and were coming out more and more profusely.
"He already lived for years without his father, Kels and you know about that well."
Adriana didn't dare come closer but somehow she still managed to say, "What if your parents find out? Are you ready?"
