Chapter 304: Catching Adultery
Chapter 304 Catching Adultery
As soon as she arrived at the hotel, Charlotte pulled Elena into the room she had booked.
The moment the door closed, Charlotte grabbed Elena and described everything she had just seen.
"Elena, you have no idea how slutty Gloria is."
"She opened the door, saw that man, and threw herself at him without saying a word. I saw it clearly - she was practically naked, both breasts half exposed, pushing herself into that man's arms."
"I'm a woman, and even I couldn't handle that kind of situation, let alone a hot-blooded man, right?"
"She's really shameless!"
Charlotte's words threw Elena's mind into chaos. Just thinking about Gloria throwing herself into Harrison's arms, and the two of them probably already having sex right now, made Elena feel like she was going to break down.
She dropped her bag, turned around, pulled open the door, and walked straight toward the room across the hall.
Charlotte was still talking excitedly and didn't notice Elena's expression or actions at all. When she realized Elena had already opened the door and run out, Charlotte froze for a moment.
"Elena, where are you going?"
As soon as Charlotte said this, she saw Elena already pounding on the door of the room across the hall.
No, she wasn't knocking - she was banging on it.
Charlotte rushed out in a panic, trying to stop Elena.
But just as she got there, the door across the hall opened.
A disheveled man pulled open the door.
At that moment, Charlotte and Elena were standing right at the doorway. When Elena got a clear look at the man's face, her eyes went wide.
It wasn't Harrison.
Elena was so embarrassed that she wanted to run away immediately.
The man looked at Elena and Charlotte standing in front of him, his expression somewhat displeased. "Can I help you two with something?"
"No, we probably knocked on the wrong door."
Charlotte awkwardly apologized to the man, but his eyes looked poisonous. Clearly, he was very unhappy about Elena banging on the door and interrupting his sex.
He straightened his messy clothes, looked at Elena, and said, "You think saying you knocked on the wrong door makes up for what you did?"
"Why didn't you check before knocking? Are you two crazy?"
The man cursed at Elena and Charlotte without holding back.
Elena snapped back to reality and felt speechless about her own behavior.
How impulsive must she have been to do something like this?
She apologized to the man. "I'm sorry, it was my fault. I didn't understand the situation before knocking on your door and disturbing you. I apologize."
"I promise this will never happen again."
Elena kept her face down low, afraid that the man would see her face clearly and remember what she looked like.
It was so embarrassing.
After apologizing, Elena pulled Charlotte and headed back to Charlotte's room.
Charlotte lowered her voice and blamed Elena. "Elena, were you crazy just now? How could you just knock on someone's door like that?"
Elena blamed Charlotte. "It was clearly your fault. Why didn't you tell me the person who went into that room wasn't Harrison?"
Faced with Elena's words, Charlotte was speechless.
"Did I have a chance to tell you? From when you entered the room to when you went to knock on that door, it wasn't even two minutes. Did I have time to tell you that the man who went into that room wasn't Harrison?"
Charlotte's words left Elena with nothing to say.
Indeed, she had been too impulsive.
"But how could the person who went into that room not be Harrison?" Elena scratched her head in confusion.
Gloria invited Harrison to have sex with her, and she would have only sent the hotel address to Harrison.
How could the person going to her room not be Harrison?
Faced with Elena's logic, Charlotte helplessly shrugged and closed her room door.
She asked Elena, "Do you really want the person who went into that room to be Harrison?"
"I think you should be grateful right now - grateful that the man you chose to marry didn't betray you."
"Elena, what are you thinking?"
Charlotte's words gave Elena a headache. She plopped down on the sofa in the room and held her forehead in frustration.
"I don't know what I was thinking, either. From the moment I saw Harrison's phone at home, I felt irritated and couldn't control my actions."
"I can't figure out why the person who went into Gloria's room wasn't Harrison."
Elena was still stuck on this question.
Charlotte shook her head helplessly. She poured a glass of water and placed it in front of Elena.
After a moment, she said, "I think right now you should think about how you're going to explain this to Harrison when you go home tomorrow."
When Charlotte brought up this question, Elena started worrying again.
Her instinct told her that the disheveled man blocking the doorway definitely knew Harrison.
Because when Elena turned to leave, she clearly noticed a hint of a smile in the corner of his eye.
Feeling completely speechless, Elena started complaining to Charlotte.
"This is all your fault. I was fine waiting at the entrance to the villa complex, but you insisted I come to the hotel."
Faced with Charlotte's complaint, Charlotte felt totally wronged.
She argued her case in front of Elena.
She said, "Elena, that's not fair. I did tell you to come to the hotel, but I didn't tell you to come knock on people's doors!"
"I told you to come watch the drama unfold. But you - you hadn't even said two sentences after entering the room before you went and banged on someone's door."
"You're a doctor. Aren't doctors supposed to stay calm in a crisis? Over such a small thing, you couldn't control yourself?"
Faced with Charlotte's blame, Elena sat there speechless.
At the same time, Harrison, who was resting at home, received a message.
[Harrison, does your fiancée have some kind of problem? Gloria and I were just having drinks when she came up and started banging on our door. What's that about? Is she trying to catch me cheating?]
[I don't even know her. Isn't this a bit unreasonable?]
To make Harrison believe the message was real, the sender even attached a photo of Charlotte and Elena from behind.
In the photo, although Elena and Charlotte's faces weren't clear, Harrison still recognized the outfit Elena had worn when she went out tonight.
