Chapter 305: Sending Gloria Away

Chapter 305 Sending Gloria Away

No wonder Elena said she had to go out for surgery right after they made love.

When she left in a hurry, Harrison didn't think much of it. But when he picked up his phone and saw the message from Gloria displayed on his lock screen, he finally realized that Elena's excuse about going out for surgery was definitely just that - an excuse.

He was worried that Elena might run to the hotel and get into a huge fight with Gloria. If Elena ended up getting hurt, how heartbroken would he be?

Or what if Gloria said something that upset Elena, affecting her emotions and impacting their upcoming wedding? That would be such a waste.

After thinking it over, Harrison called his good friend Aaron and asked him to go to the hotel to clear things up with Gloria.

If Elena did go to the hotel, Aaron could help smooth things over.

He never expected that Elena would actually go.

Harrison didn't know whether to be angry or amused.

He was angry that Elena could be so foolish. How much did she distrust him to actually show up and catch him cheating?

But he was also amused because from Elena's behavior, he could tell that she cared about him. Otherwise, she wouldn't have lost control and rushed over to catch him cheating after seeing that message, right?

Thinking about this, Harrison suddenly felt a sweet sensation in his heart.

Holding his phone, he texted Aaron: [Elena just went to check things out. Why are you getting so worked up? I'm telling you, keep your temper in check and don't scare Elena.]

[I'll toast you extra times at our wedding. That's it, I'm going to sleep now.]

When Aaron saw this message from Harrison, he cursed at his phone.

Did he fall for Harrison's trap tonight?

Harrison had called him, saying he needed help handling something at the hotel, taking care of a guest.

He obediently came over.

But as soon as he opened the door, Gloria threw herself into his arms, hugging, kissing, and touching him. If he hadn't had strong willpower, he definitely would have been taken advantage of by Gloria.

Fortunately, he could hold his liquor well and got Gloria drunk within minutes.

Before he could catch his breath, someone started banging on the hotel room door.

He thought something had happened, but when he opened the door, he saw Elena standing angrily at his door.

He had never met Elena before, but he had seen countless videos of her online.

Connecting all the events of the evening, he felt like he'd been played by both Elena and Harrison.

No way - at their wedding, he was definitely going to tease Elena and Harrison about this.

That night, Elena didn't go home to sleep.

She stayed at the hotel with Charlotte for the night.

Early the next morning, Elena hesitated, not knowing how to go home.

Seeing her like this, Charlotte was speechless.

Was this timid person really the fearless friend she used to know?

Was such a small matter really enough to scare her like this?

"Charlotte, what should I do? Will Harrison find out that I came to the hotel last night?"

Charlotte replied, "I think he definitely will. Just from the expression on that man's face in the room across from us, he and Harrison definitely know each other."

Hearing Charlotte say this, Elena felt even more anxious.

She grabbed Charlotte's hand and asked, "Then what should I do now?"

"Harrison is definitely going to be mad at me."

Charlotte comforted her, "If he's angry, let him deal with it. Who told him not to give you peace of mind? Elena, if he dares to blame you, just argue with him."

"You can't out-argue him?"

"If it really doesn't work out, I'll take you home. If Harrison dares to blame you for this, I'll smash his head in a second."

Charlotte was getting more and more fired up as she spoke.

With her comfort, Elena's mood improved a bit. The two of them packed their things and prepared to leave the hotel. But just then, a group of people started talking right outside the room where Elena and Charlotte were staying.

Among them was Harrison's voice.

"Where's Gloria? Is she awake yet?"

Hearing Harrison's voice, Charlotte and Elena rushed to the door. Through the peephole, they looked outside.

Harrison stood in the hallway wearing a sharp suit, one hand in his pocket. Behind him were Simon and a woman Elena had never seen before - she probably wasn't from Frost Industries.

The door to the room across the hall was wide open. Aaron stood at the doorway, looking exhausted, leaning against the door frame with a weary expression.

"Harrison, you're finally here. I'm telling you, Gloria is way too much trouble."

"Next time you have this kind of job, please don't call me. I can't handle it at all."

Aaron complained to Harrison.

Looking at Aaron's exhausted face, the energetic Harrison reached out and patted him lightly on the shoulder.

He said, "Thanks for your hard work."

"By the way, how is Gloria?"

Harrison stood at the doorway without going in.

Aaron tilted his head and pointed inside, saying, "Still sleeping in there. What are you planning to do with her?"

Harrison glanced at the woman behind him and said, "I called her sister. She's taking her away from Pinewood City today."

Aaron asked, "You're just letting her go like that?"

Harrison asked back, "What else? Should I keep her in Pinewood City to cause me more trouble? Aaron, even though I used to have a good impression of her, our relationship was just classmates."

"If she comes to Pinewood City as a guest, I'll warmly welcome her and treat her well. But as for those promises she mentioned, they were just childhood jokes."

"I'm getting married now. I don't want any woman's presence to affect my relationship with Elena. I only love her, and I don't want our marriage to be filled with too many uncertainties."

"So I have to send Gloria away."
