Chapter 90 Perfect Fit
Benjamin lowered his gaze, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly.
He reached out and pulled the ever-playful Sophia into his embrace.
"What do you think?" he asked, his voice low and seductive.
Benjamin's large hand held Sophia firmly, his grip strong and possessive.
Sophia's eyelashes fluttered lightly. She looked up at him with a mischievous grin and playfully bit his lower lip.
"I think you definitely like it. I mean, look at me! Unless you're blind."
Sophia huffed, her pretty face full of pride.
Benjamin helplessly curled his finger and gently tapped her nose.
"You already know the answer."
Before meeting Sophia, Benjamin never knew a girl could be so good at being playful.
And now...
Benjamin looked at Sophia, who had her face buried in his broad chest, and a meaningful smile curved his lips.
He hoped that for the rest of their lives, Sophia would only be playful with him.
In the large bedroom, Benjamin held Sophia tightly, his lips pressed together in silence.
After a long while, Sophia fell into a deep sleep.
Her breathing lingered in Benjamin's ear.
Her lips, as red and glossy as cherries, parted slightly, as if silently inviting him to kiss them.
Benjamin's deep eyes darkened, and he leaned in.
Sophia's lips were as soft and sweet as he imagined, like the most delicious berries, captivating and irresistible.
Benjamin felt like a thief coveting a rare treasure, greedy for a beauty that shouldn't belong to him.
He watched Sophia's sleeping face intently.
Until the morning light shone through the window.
And through it all, Sophia remained unaware.
That evening, Benjamin came home from work and headed straight to the bedroom on the second floor.
Sophia was standing in front of the mirror, carefully examining her beautifully made-up reflection.
Her features were delicate, her eyes bright. Her exposed skin was smooth, like a porcelain doll in a display window.
She wore light makeup, which took away some of her youthful innocence and added a touch of allure.
Every move she made was full of charm.
When he entered the bedroom and didn't see Sophia, Benjamin couldn't help but frown.
Just as he was about to turn and ask Emma, the bathroom door suddenly opened.
Sophia stepped out, dressed in an evening gown.
Benjamin's eyes widened, a look of surprise flashing across his usually unreadable face.
It wasn't the first time he'd seen Sophia in this dress, but today, she looked different.
When she saw Benjamin, Sophia's eyes lit up.
She lifted her skirt and ran to him, looking up at him with eager eyes.
"Honey, do I look good?"
"You look stunning," Benjamin replied, his deep eyes fixed on Sophia.
"How stunning?" Sophia wrapped her arms around Benjamin's strong waist, her eyes full of anticipation.
Her gaze was clear, her excitement and joy unhidden.
She had no idea how captivating she looked at that moment.
Benjamin's Adam's apple moved slightly, and he extended his long arm to pull her into his embrace.
Sophia's soft body pressed tightly against his chest, fitting perfectly.
"My Sophia is the most beautiful girl in the world, hands down."
Benjamin leaned down and whispered in her ear. His breath, cool and pleasant, warmed the skin behind her ear, sending shivers down her spine.
Sophia hummed softly, unashamedly agreeing, "I think so too!"
Her serious expression made Benjamin laugh. He reached out with his warm hand and gently ruffled her hair, a smile tugging at his lips.
"Let's go. It's almost time. We need to get to the Stewart villa."
Tonight was Zander and Isabella's engagement party. But Sophia wasn't going to celebrate. She was going for revenge.
Benjamin took Sophia's hand and led her downstairs.
In the living room, Amelia was sitting on the couch, eating fruit. Seeing Benjamin holding Sophia's hand as they came downstairs, she frowned.
"Where are you two going?" Amelia asked coldly.
Benjamin and Sophia stopped in their tracks, surprised to see Amelia. Amelia had just been threatened by Benjamin, and they thought she would stay quiet for a while. They didn't expect her to speak up suddenly.
Benjamin frowned, his handsome face darkening. "How is it any of your business?"
Amelia instinctively wanted to yell. But when she met Benjamin's sharp gaze, she fell silent.
"I'm your elder. What's wrong with asking where you're going?" Amelia retorted.
Benjamin sneered, "You should mind your own business. You've never cared about me all these years, so don't start now."
Looking at Amelia's face, which seemed to be full of grievance, Benjamin sneered inwardly. Before he married Sophia, every time he came to the White Manor, Amelia ignored him. As if he was something disgusting, something that would dirty her eyes if she looked at him too long. Who knew why she suddenly started meddling in his affairs now.
Amelia was at a loss for words, her face turning red. "I'm just telling you, I will never agree to the divorce!"
Benjamin's eyes narrowed slightly, and he scoffed, "Whether you agree or not isn't up to you. The White Family isn't your playground, and Sophia isn't someone you can bully."
"Benjamin, you can't treat me like this! I'm your mother!" Amelia's eyes reddened with anger, and she shouted.
"Mother? Do you deserve that title?"
Benjamin let go of Sophia's hand and walked up to Amelia. Amelia stepped back in fear.
"Don't ever mention the word 'mother' to me again. If I had a choice, I'd rather have died in the womb."
For over twenty years, Benjamin's world had been gray. Pain and torment were his constant companions. If he had a choice, he'd rather never have been born.
Meeting Benjamin's cold, deep eyes, Amelia's heart trembled. Her legs gave way, and she collapsed onto the couch.
"Magnus left the White Manor a long time ago. It's time for your dream to end."
Benjamin sneered, then took Sophia's hand and left.
Watching Benjamin's resolute back as he left, Amelia's heart sank. Benjamin... was so much like that man. The man she had loved for decades, Magnus. Back then, he had done the same. He left a divorce agreement and walked away without looking back.
Amelia's expression was dazed, her heart feeling empty. As if she had lost something important.
