Chapter 85: Return Tenfold or Hundredfold

Chapter 86 What Qualifies Sophia to Compete with Her!

Sophia was now part of the White family, and they had a reputation for fiercely protecting their own.

Did those people really think they could cyberbully Sophia without the White family stepping in?

Alaric let out a cold laugh, a rare shadow crossing his usually warm face.

"Sophia, if you need any help, just say the word. The White family always has your back."

Hearing Alaric's words, Sophia felt a warm sensation spread through her chest.

She smiled at Alaric. "Thanks, Alaric. I appreciate it."

In reality, Isabella's methods weren't particularly clever.

She was just very good at pretending and keeping control.

If Sophia really wanted to compete with her, she might not lose.

But she had no interest in fighting.

Winning over someone's affection through competition wasn't meaningful to her.

At the Brown villa, Isabella was hiding in her room, eagerly reading the online comments.

Seeing many people start to insult Sophia online, Isabella felt a surge of joy.

Sophia was probably hiding somewhere crying right now?

The thought brought Isabella immense satisfaction.

"Sophia, who would've thought you'd have a day like this! The whole world should know how low you are!"

Thinking of Sophia's face, a look of hatred flashed in Isabella's eyes.

She had gone to great lengths to get Sophia out of the house, only for her to end up joining the White family.

It was so unfair.

Why did Sophia get to have such smooth sailing in life, always catching breaks?

She had been missing for nineteen years, and everyone thought she was dead.

But she miraculously survived.

When Olivia and her three brothers found out Sophia was alive, their eyes were filled with pain, and they wanted to shower her with all their love.

If Isabella hadn't intervened, Sophia would have taken everything from her!

So even though everyone started to hate Sophia, Isabella still wasn't satisfied.

She began secretly encouraging Hayden and Olivia to treat Sophia as a discarded pawn and marry her off to the dying Benjamin of the White family.

Isabella thought Sophia was doomed, considering Benjamin's infamous temper.

But Sophia proved to be incredibly resilient.

Not only did she survive, but she also gained the White family's affection!

Why Sophia?

What right did she have to compete with Isabella?

Isabella was eager to see how Sophia would turn things around this time.

Just then, her phone rang.

Isabella's expression froze as she looked at the screen.

Seeing the name, she quickly adjusted her expression to look soft and pitiful.

"Zander."

She answered, her voice sweet and seductive.

"Isabella, you've been wronged," Zander said tenderly, his voice tinged with concern.

"I saw what's happening online. This isn't your fault. Sophia is the one using underhanded tactics to frame you!"

Mentioning Sophia, Zander's voice was filled with anger.

Isabella leaned back on the couch, a small smile playing on her lips, disappearing as quickly as it came.

When she spoke again, she sounded like she was about to cry.

"Zander, don't say that about Sophia. She didn't mean to hurt me. She's just too in love with you to accept it..."

Zander's anger flared. "I'd rather die than look at that vile woman again!"

"Zander, don't say such unlucky things! We're getting engaged tomorrow!"

Zander paused, then quickly apologized. "I was too impulsive. I shouldn't say such things on such an important day. I only have eyes for you, Isabella."

"Zander, I feel better hearing that. You didn't contact me for days, and I thought you were mad at me!" Isabella sniffled.

Rumors had spread that Isabella had encouraged her fans to throw hot water on Sophia, and the internet was full of criticism.

Isabella was panicked and tried calling Zander for comfort.

But his phone was off!

Isabella was terrified that this incident had driven a wedge between them.

Now, Zander was reaching out to her, promising his love.

Isabella felt sweet relief and looked forward to their engagement party even more.

On the other end, Zander was silent for a moment before laughing. "How could I be mad at you? I care about you too much."

"I was on a business trip and didn't have time to check my phone. I just found out what you've been through. It breaks my heart."

Isabella blushed, blinking shyly. "Zander, I'm relieved to hear that. After tomorrow's engagement party, I'll be your rightful fiancée. Are you happy?"

"Of course, I'm happy!" Zander replied.

After hanging up, Isabella smiled, her face flushed.

Her long lashes trembled, and a strange pink hue colored her delicate features.

Zander had invited her to a party tonight.

He said he couldn't wait for the engagement.

Isabella gripped her phone tightly, her expression turning cold at the sight of Sophia's name.

After tomorrow, she would be Zander's official fiancée.

And Sophia would be married to a dying man.

Isabella would crush Sophia, making sure she could never rise again!

Sophia had no idea she was being cursed.

When the car reached the White Manor, Benjamin patted her head. "You go on up. Alaric and I need to talk."

"Okay." Sophia obediently got out of the car.

As soon as she stepped inside the White Manor, a shadowy figure rushed at her.

Sophia's eyes narrowed, and she instinctively dodged.

The object missed her face and shattered on the ground with a sharp noise.

She saw it was a glass cup, broken into pieces.

It had been thrown from a distance of about fifteen feet.

Whoever threw it had used a lot of force.

If it had hit her head, it would have caused a serious injury.

"What happened?"

Benjamin and Alaric arrived a moment too late.

They saw Sophia standing at the entrance, with broken glass on the floor behind her.

Benjamin and Alaric exchanged a glance and quickly hurried over.
