Chapter 527 Just a Worker
Sawyer pressed his lips together and quickly followed her in.
He had originally wanted to invite Sophia to dinner so he could spend more time with her.
But he knew very well that Sophia wouldn't easily agree.
Sophia sat back down at her desk and pointed to the seat across from her, gesturing for Sawyer to sit down and talk.
"Well? What do you want from me?"
Sophia looked at him, her gaze calm and indifferent.
She could now face the Brown family members quite calmly, whether it was Sawyer or Flynn.
After all, they were just passing figures in her life. There was no need to waste too much energy on them.
Sawyer hesitated for a moment, then suddenly grabbed Sophia's hand and pleaded, "Sophia, please save our mother!"
Sophia frowned and quietly pulled her hand away, correcting him, "She's your mom, not mine."
"Sophia, I know you still blame us, but the blood relationship between us can't be broken."
Sophia laughed in exasperation. "You think saying 'blood relationship can't be broken' can cover up the fact that she hurt me?"
When she was first brought back to the Brown Villa, she had been full of hope.
What she wanted most was to see what her biological mother was like.
And the result?
Sophia didn't want to recall the past.
She could let go of the past and not dwell on old grudges.
But asking her to call Olivia "mom"? Sorry, she just couldn't do it.
Sawyer scratched his head in distress, knowing he had said the wrong thing again, and quickly apologized, "Sophia, I'm sorry. I got too worked up just now."
Sophia took a deep breath and calmed down. "Just get to the point. My time is valuable."
"I will! I'll tell you right now!"
Sawyer didn't dare delay any longer and quickly explained the whole situation.
Sophia was so surprised she didn't know what to say.
Isabella and Olivia had gotten into an argument in prison, and Isabella had accidentally knocked Olivia down, seriously injuring her. Olivia was still unconscious.
This afternoon, Sawyer received a call from the prison.
Heath had already rushed over.
Sawyer had originally planned to go too, but he suddenly thought of Sophia.
Sophia's medical skills were amazing. If she helped, Olivia would definitely be saved!
He looked at Sophia expectantly, waiting for her response.
Sophia asked back, "Doesn't the prison have doctors? How badly is she hurt?"
Sawyer shook his head with a grave expression. "I don't know. Heath has already gone over. I haven't had time to go yet."
Sophia closed her eyes hard and said sarcastically, "Doesn't Olivia love her daughter Isabella the most? How could she bear to fight with her?"
"Sophia, Mom already knows she was wrong. She was deceived by Hayden and Isabella before, which is why she did those stupid things. If you're angry, you can take it out on me."
Sophia shook her head and stood up, heading out. "Fine, let's go. Let's see what the situation is first."
She wasn't a saint, and she wouldn't forgive Olivia.
But if Olivia was seriously injured, she couldn't just stand by and do nothing.
Robert had taught her that life comes first.
Before life, everyone is equal.
This was the most important mindset a doctor should maintain.
No matter how many grudges she had with Olivia, she had never wanted Olivia to die.
It was almost time to get out of work, so she called Benjamin and told him she had something to do that evening, and he didn't need to pick her up.
Benjamin, who was just about to leave to pick up Sophia: "..."
Why was it that after coming to Harmony City, people kept taking up Sophia's time and energy?
But no matter how angry he felt inside, he still appeared reasonable in front of Sophia.
"Okay, you handle your business first. I'll go home and wait for you."
After Benjamin hung up, he immediately lost his composure and ordered his subordinates to investigate where Sophia had gone.
Lowell's face flashed through his mind, making him grind his teeth in anger.
Why were some people so persistent?
About ten minutes later, his subordinate came to report, "Mr. White, according to information from the hospital, Mrs. White went to the airport with Sawyer and took a flight to Silverlight City."
"Sawyer?"
Benjamin's eyes narrowed slightly, releasing a dangerous gleam.
His subordinate's shoulders shrank back, not daring to speak further.
Benjamin suddenly stood up from his chair and strode out. "Book me a ticket to Silverlight City. Right now."
He wanted to see what exactly Sawyer was up to.
Subordinate: "Yes!"
Although he was also curious about where Sophia had gone, he knew when to keep quiet.
He was just an employee—he didn't dare say anything or ask anything.
