Chapter 311 Who Allowed You to Touch Her?

Chapter 313 Bastard, It's Time to Throw Away!

Sophia lay in Finnley's arms, breathing in his familiar scent. Her heart, which had been tense for so long, slowly began to relax.

She nuzzled against him, finding a comfortable position, and closed her eyes to sleep.

But she didn't notice that in the darkness, Finnley slowly opened his eyes.

His deep eyes seemed to merge with the night, as if they would swallow Sophia whole.

Sophia quickly grew drowsy.

Just as she was about to fall asleep, a low, hoarse voice came from above her head.

It carried an indescribable hint of danger.

"What are you doing?"

Sophia suddenly woke up, rubbing her sleepy eyes with her hand, and looked up at him. "You're awake? Did I wake you?"

"What are you doing?" Finnley's whole body stiffened as he repeated the question.

Sophia blinked, her eyes full of innocence. "Sleeping."

Sophia's matter-of-fact attitude made Finnley laugh in frustration.

He pulled her hand off his waist, his voice seeming to be laced with ice, cold to the extreme.

"You shouldn't be lying here. Go back to your own bed."

Sophia's mouth opened, and her eyes immediately reddened.

"You're actually kicking me out? Finnley, say that again!"

She kept pounding his chest with her fists, venting her anger and frustration.

Who knows what she went through after he disappeared?

Now that she'd finally found him, he was telling her to leave!

How awful!

Finnley's expression darkened. Watching her tears fall, his heart clenched painfully.

But quickly, he forced that feeling down.

"Get off. Don't make me repeat it a third time."

Sophia wiped the tears from her face and carefully moved closer into his arms, her movements tentative. "Don't make me leave. Without you beside me, I can't sleep at all."

"I haven't had a good night's sleep in so long, except for that time I met you at the bar."

After Finnley disappeared, she had countless sleepless nights. Now he was back, but he didn't recognize her.

Finnley grabbed her approaching hand, scoffing coldly with a mocking tone. "So that's your excuse for climbing into my bed in the middle of the night?"

"What's wrong with climbing into my own husband's bed?"

Sophia angrily pulled her hand free from his grip, glaring at him with hurt in her eyes.

"Even if you've lost your memory, it doesn't change the fact that you're my husband. Our marriage is protected by law!"

She had originally thought that as long as he was alive and by her side, what he was called, who he was... none of it mattered.

But in this moment, Sophia felt overwhelmed with grievances she couldn't express.

Why did he have to forget her?

Why did she have to bear so much pain for him, while he could just casually wipe away all their sweet memories with a simple "I forgot"?

Was this fair to her?

Finnley couldn't argue with her and was left speechless, letting Sophia get close again.

He could even be said to be indulging her.

Actually, he didn't know why he didn't insist on pushing Sophia away.

But instinctively, when he saw those red eyes, his heart softened.

He pulled back his outstretched hand.

Letting her burrow into his arms like a little cat.

And like an octopus, wrapping her arms and legs around him tightly.

Everyone said he was Benjamin, but he clearly had complete memories.

The first twenty-something years of his life were things he had actually lived through. How could those be fake?

But in this moment, he felt an inexplicable jealousy toward the man named Benjamin.

He seemed to have lived happily, with many people caring about him.

Even after he disappeared, these people never gave up searching for him.

And also...

Finnley slowly lowered his gaze to Sophia sleeping in his arms, his eyes darkening slightly.

There was also someone who loved him deeply, always waiting for him to come back.

For a moment, he even fantasized about really being Benjamin.

Because in his endless dark life, a ray of light had appeared.

He thought, even if it was beyond his reach, he wanted to hold onto that light tightly.

Sophia pressed her cheek tightly against Finnley's chest.

Feeling the strong, steady heartbeat from his chest, her own heart calmed down.

But she wasn't sleepy anymore and couldn't fall asleep, so she kept moving around in his arms, trying to find the most comfortable position.

Finnley's body suddenly became rigid, and his body temperature rose several degrees.

He tried hard to control himself, but several heavy breaths still escaped uncontrollably.

He immediately held Sophia, who was restless in his arms, his large, warm palm gripping her wrist firmly, and in one motion rolled over to pin her beneath him.

"Don't move."

Finnley's hoarse voice carried a warning, full of danger.

Sophia's body suddenly stiffened, and she instinctively wanted to escape.

After being married for so long, she was all too familiar with his body's reactions.

Sophia's eyes turned cunningly. She reached out her slender arms and hooked them around Finnley's neck, making him lean closer to her.

"Honey, you're hard. Even though your memory has forgotten me, your body still remembers."

Sophia's words were bold and direct.

Finnley looked at Sophia, his ears hidden in the darkness starting to burn, and even the tender skin beneath his palm became hot.

He quickly let her go, and to maintain his dignity, said coldly, "It's normal for a man to react to a woman. It has nothing to do with who she is."

Hearing this, Sophia suddenly sat up from the sofa, staring at him in shock.

She huffily got up and ran back to her own bed, lying down with her back to Finnley. "If that's the case, then go find another woman!"

Jerk! Time to throw him away!

He even dared to think about other women—absolutely awful!

Finnley sat on the bed, staring blankly at Sophia's figure, his heart aching again.

This pain was more intense than before. He frowned and raised his hand to cover his chest.

Did he... say something wrong?

There were no other women. Whether or not he had lost his memory as she claimed, he had never let any other woman get close to him.

His mind suddenly recalled the information he had investigated about Sophia.

Sophia loved Benjamin very much. When everyone else believed he was dead, only Sophia said he wasn't dead, that he would come back.

For two years, many people had moved on with their lives, but she alone had never gotten over it.

An inexplicable guilt arose in his heart, and he stood there at a loss for a long time, unable to react.

He pressed his lips together and quietly got up from the sofa, sitting down by Sophia's bed.

Sophia had her back to him, so he couldn't see her true expression.

He extended one finger and carefully touched her.
