Chapter 21 Talk about business

Shall I ask James to accompany you for a walk and relax?" Nicholas asked softly. He never forced anyone to do something they didn't want to do.

"No need, I can go alone. I'll go out first," Stella replied.

As Stella was being dragged out, she saw a familiar figure passing by her side. She took a closer look and realized it was John whom she hadn't seen in a long time, so she shouted again.

At first, John didn't notice that the crazy woman being dragged out was actually Stella. After all, he couldn't imagine any relationship between Stella and the Johnson family.

"John! John! Let me go! That person is my boyfriend!" Stella went crazy trying to break free from the security guard's grip. Normally when entering or leaving the Johnson residence, she was always very polite and well-mannered; this kind of behavior was completely unlike her.

The security guard didn't react in time and reflexively let go of Stella's arm to avoid her hand reaching his face.

Stella ran over as if saved and hugged John's thigh tightly.

"Stella? What are you doing here? Let me go," John heard someone calling him but looked around without recognizing anyone until he finally realized it was Stella who had just called him.

When he saw Stella, the scene where she pushed him down the stairs that day came back vividly into his mind. There was an impatient tone in his voice as he spoke,

"John, what are you doing here? Let me go. It's all my fault; forgive me."

Stella bit her lip with tears about to fall from her eyes. Every time she showed such an expression on her face, John would feel sorry for her and forgive her.

However, John was not moved. He saw through the hypocritical and vain face of Stella, and besides, Stella's hair was messy and her delicate makeup was messed up in the struggle just now. No matter what, this face made John feel disgusted.

"What does it have to do with you that I came here? Let go of me quickly." John said coldly, trying to push Stella's hand away.

When John was hospitalized before, Stella never came to visit him once. He had hoped for it at first, but gradually gave up.

The dispute between the two attracted a crowd of people to watch, and the surrounding noise became louder and louder, making John increasingly irritable.

"Isn't this the woman who just seduced Mr. Nicholas in the office?" A senior executive who had just watched the scene in Nicholas's office was attracted by the chaos here and was surprised to see Stella.

"Oh my god? Didn't she just say that this man is her boyfriend? With a boyfriend, she still seduces Mr. Nicholas. No wonder she was thrown out by Mr. Nicholas. Such a fickle woman." Someone snorted coldly, looking at Stella with disgust and impatience.

"She said that Caroline is Mr. Nicholas's girlfriend... If that's the case, isn't she seducing her own sister's boyfriend? Hey, this woman is so disgusting." A girl looked at Stella with disgust and quickly looked away, as if she had seen something dirty.

"John, please, take me away from here. Can't we start over? It was all my fault before, and I won't be like this in the future." More and more people's eyes fell on Stella, and she pulled John's sleeve pleadingly.

"Get lost." John heard the discussion around him, looked down at Stella's exposed clothing, and exuded an unprecedentedly fierce aura.

"Help her up and take your girlfriend away." Caroline's voice came from behind the crowd.

The onlookers all turned towards Caroline and automatically made way for her. Caroline was dressed in a simple professional skirt and her hair was neatly pulled back.

"Caroline..." John's gaze had not left Caroline since he saw her, murmuring softly to himself.

He cursed himself in his heart, why did he give up Caroline and choose to be with this lunatic? John was filled with regret, especially now that he saw the increasingly attractive Caroline.

"Mr. John, please help your girlfriend up." Caroline's distant address and cold expression made John's heart tighten.

Caroline only watched everything happening in front of her coldly. She didn't want Stella to disturb the working atmosphere of the Johnson family, which was not beneficial to Nicholas. As for seeing John again, it used to hurt, but now she was numb and had no feelings.

After hearing Caroline's words, John raised his hand and helped Stella up from the ground.

"Alright, we've seen enough of this play. Let's all go back to work. Mr. Nicholas will be here soon." Caroline lightly clapped her hands and smiled politely at everyone.

Everyone shrugged and left. Although Caroline had only recently taken up her position, her work efficiency had always been outstanding, and since she came to the Johnson family, Nicholas's temper had improved a lot, and the atmosphere of the whole company was no longer so tense.

"Don't pretend to be a good person here. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't be in such a mess. Caroline, I hate you!" Stella gritted her teeth and said. She had come prepared to win today, but things had turned out like this, and all her anger was directed at Caroline.

“Caroline, don't mind her. This woman is crazy. It's really unfortunate that you have such a sister. If it were me, I would have been angry long ago." The girl who usually gets along well with Caroline immediately became angry after hearing Stella speak and comforted her.

"What are you? How dare you talk to me like that!" Stella shifted her gaze over and said fiercely.

Caroline rubbed her temples. She didn't want to argue with Stella about anything since she wouldn't listen anyway. She turned to John and said, "Send your girlfriend away first before coming back to discuss business with Nicholas."

"You go wait for me in the car first," John frowned and pushed away Stella's hand in disgust.

"John!" Caroline pouted dissatisfiedly.

"If you don't leave on your own, then just get lost," John couldn't take it anymore and became very irritable.

Stella had been together with John for so long but had never seen him angry before. She couldn't help shrinking her neck and glaring at Caroline before leaving on high heels.

Caroline had just come out after learning that John was coming to discuss business with Nicholas when she unexpectedly ran into them face-to-face and witnessed this scene.

"You go ahead first. Nicholas is already waiting for you in the office." With a cold expression, Caroline took a step back and kept a certain distance from John before speaking.
