Chapter 47 047
“Why, aren't they yours.” Clarence asked?
“Displace them. When I see them, I'll be bothered."
After two moments of silence, Stella said, "Mr. Conrad, just throw them away if you don't want them."
"Do I pay my maids to put trash out for you? Discard them on your own.”
Stella lost her ability to speak.
"..."
"There are numerous items. I am unable to."
With unwavering indifference, Clarence asked, "Why don't you throw some of them every day?"
Stella inhaled deeply and said, "Okay. I hope Mr. Conrad will let me a few more days, but I have to get on with my work now.”
It took a few seconds for Clarence to respond with a nasal tone that sounded almost benevolent.
"I'll go first then. Farewell, Mr. Conrad." Stella had only taken two steps when she heard Clarence say coming from behind her , "My driver will give you a ride.”
“No need to bother him, I can hail a taxi," Stella resisted.
"Did you not mention that everyone will fall in love with you at first sight because you are so beautiful? Do you think it would be dangerous for a girl to cross the street by herself?"
After a long time, Stella laughed drily, "Did I say that?"
Clarence looked away. It seems he was reluctant to speak with Stella at this time. Stella made an awkward nose touch and walked out.
The driver appeared in front of her after she had gone downstairs and left the building, saying, "Mrs. Conrad, Mr. Conrad asked me to give you a ride."
Stella gently corrected him, saying, "Please don't refer to me as Mrs. Conrad once more. Clarence and I got divorced."
However, it's clear that the driver lacked Nathan's cunning and common sense. He was at a loss for words. It took him a long time to stutter, "O... Okay, Mrs. Conrad."
Stella sighed deeply as she leaned against the car window on the drive back, a paper bag cradled in her arms. Fortunately, Clarence's thought process was always unique. He had doubts that she and Horace were planning a baby when he noticed the folic acid. He assumed she want a child when he saw the baby clothes. Overall, despite the fact that she was pregnant, he never believed it. In any case, she had the same problem once more. However, the two things made it clear to her that hiding this from Clarence would not be simple. One day, if she stayed by his side, he would find out.
When this was all over, Stella thought, she would find Stanford and ask him whether she could go ahead and leave City Nin. Ultimately, her primary responsibility was to design, and she hardly needed to visit the magazine office unless an emergency arose. She had to do this as long as it worked, even though she had no idea how long she could keep it a secret using this method.
Additionally... Stella remembered last night's words from Clarence. He'd made it very plain that he didn't want kids. He would definitely demand that she abort the child if he found out one day that she was pregnant.
Stella returned home and sat glumly in front of her design draft. After a considerable amount of time, she pulled out her phone and called Sherry.
"My dear Stella, what's the matter?" Sherry sounded upbeat, and there were a lot of sounds coming from the other end of the call.
Grabbing the phone, Stella said, "Nothing, where are you now?"
“ It is extremely uncommon for Liam to do his task on time. He takes me to the theme park as he doesn't have any social engagements today. Would you like to attend?"
"Not at all. Have fun with it."
How could Sherry tell her that she was happy now and ruin her mood just when she needed it? She was most familiar with that kind of emotion.
Sherry strolled over to a calm area. She told Stella as she covered her phone's camera, "I have a feeling that Liam will ask me out tonight. He behaves in such an odd way now. Stella, should I accept it right away or should I show restraint and decline it?"
Liam's voice could be heard on the other end of the phone just before Stella was ready to speak, "Honey, who are you talking to?"
“It's Stella.”
“All right, let's stop here," Sherry remarked to Stella after answering Liam's inquiry. “Later on, I'll tell you how he proposed to me."
