Chapter 130 I Will Definitely Help You Find the Surveillance
When Lily saw the police arrive, there was a hint of surprise in her eyes.
Did Samantha call the cops?
Seeing this, Sophie flashed a smug smile: "Officer, Lily just had a moment of confusion, that's why she broke the law and locked so many classmates' phones. I hope she can admit her mistake soon and accept reform!"
"Exactly, Lily deliberately hacked the school forum and locked so many people's phones. She's the one who got caught being a gold digger, but she won't let anyone talk about it!"
Samantha was in a great mood: "Lily, now I don't need to deal with you after class - someone else will do it for me! Just wait to get expelled!"
With this kind of thing, she just needed to say a word to the principal, and a nobody like Lily with no connections would definitely get kicked out!
Lily looked calmly at the police officers, thinking maybe she should get a lawyer.
But then the police looked at Samantha instead: "Ms. Harper, we're here for you."
"For me? What do you want with me? You should be arresting Lily!"
Samantha was getting angry. What were these people doing?
"Ms. Harper, please come with us."
"I haven't broken any laws. Why should I go with you?"
"Ms. Harper, according to our investigation, you were involved in bullying a classmate during high school, which ultimately led to that classmate jumping off a building and committing suicide. We've now found new evidence and need you to come in for questioning!"
When Samantha heard this, her face instantly turned deathly pale.
She backed away in fear: "But wasn't that case already closed?"
Her family had already taken care of it for her!
"Ms. Harper, this is an arrest warrant. You must come with us!"
"Don't come near me, let go! Do you know who I am? Cross me, and you'll all regret it!"
But Samantha was taken away anyway.
The people in the classroom looked at each other, not expecting such a twist.
Lily hadn't expected Samantha to be taken away by the police either, but hearing the charges, they did fit with Samantha's usual behavior.
Sophie, standing nearby, felt much better seeing Samantha arrested. Serves her right!
She immediately put on a righteous act: "Lily, now that Ms. Harper is gone, you should unlock our phones, right?"
"Looks like you slandered me, too."
Lily's expression was mocking.
Sophie felt a bit guilty: "I was just explaining for you, but either way, what you did was wrong! Mr. Peterson, don't you think?"
Isaac suddenly had a headache!
After all, this involved the business school, and it was obvious they were deliberately targeting Lily.
But who would have thought Lily would be so tough!
Not only was her attitude strong, but her skills were incredibly powerful too!
He couldn't even crack the code Lily had just written, which showed that Lily was truly a once-in-a-century genius!
Neither side was to be messed with.
Isaac coughed: "I'll discuss this matter with the leadership and see how to handle it."
Sophie was getting anxious: "For such a small thing, does it really need that much discussion? Our phones being unusable is really inconvenient."
Isaac looked over: "But whether the content of that post is true is still unclear, so we can't conclude."
If Lily was really that talented, there were many ways for her to make money - she didn't need to latch onto some rich guy!
And given the business school's spoiled brat behavior, Isaac felt Lily was most likely being framed.
Finally, having a good prospect, they couldn't just crush her!
Isaac looked at Lily, his attitude much improved: "Lily, I'll report this situation to the school and see how to handle it. The school won't wrongly accuse anyone!"
"Thank you, Mr. Peterson."
Lily hadn't expected Isaac to speak up for her in the end. That was genuinely surprising.
After Isaac packed up and left, the classroom exploded.
"What do we do? No one's going to deal with the locked phones?"
Lily stood at the podium, glancing at the students below: "Unlocking them is simple. I already told you how."
She walked to her seat, packed her bag, and prepared to leave.
Sophie came over: "Lily, given our relationship, just unlock my phone for me."
"What relationship do we have?"
Lily gave Sophie a cold, mocking glance.
She didn't even bother with Sophie and walked out of the classroom.
These people love spreading rumors, so why shouldn't she teach them a lesson?
These days, people spread rumors without a second thought - it kills without drawing blood!
Lily returned to her dorm. She felt tired and wanted to take a shower and rest.
But the dorm door was forcefully pushed open.
Wendy stormed in angrily: "Lily, you've gone too far, locking so many people's phones. What are they supposed to do?"
Lily saw quite a few people outside the dorm, probably all with locked phones.
Her expression was pretty nasty, very impatient: "Are you deaf? I already told you the solution. Apologize publicly, and your phone gets unlocked."
Wendy was immediately defiant: "But everyone wasn't wrong, so why should we apologize?"
"Then get lost!"
Lily didn't want to waste another word on these fake people!
"No way, Lily, you have to unlock our phones. You've gone too far!"
"Exactly, what gives you the right to do this? There's freedom of speech now."
"Yeah, do you dare to do it but not own up to it?"
Lily laughed in anger: "As fellow women, when you were spreading sexual rumors, did you ever think that one day you might be treated the same way!
Just posting something random, attaching a photo, and you can slut-shame people!
Today I can plant a program and fight back, get some revenge.
But if it happened to you, how would you explain it, how would you clear your name?
Did you think about the consequences?"
Lily's words were powerful and clear. The scene fell silent.
Zoey spoke up: "Yeah, think about it. We should be girls helping girls, not putting another woman through slut-shaming!"
After hearing this, a few of the girls outside turned and left.
The rest gradually dispersed, too.
But Wendy was very unwilling: "Zoey, you dare to speak up for Lily? If Ms. Harper finds out about this, you're dead!"
Lily looked coldly at Wendy: "Samantha is facing murder charges. She's got her own problems to worry about."
"But she's from the Harper family. How could anything happen to her!"
Wendy didn't dare challenge Lily anymore and could only slink back to her seat.
After showering, Lily got back on her bed and took out her laptop. She hacked into the bar from that night, wanting to find last night's surveillance footage.
But she discovered there were actually no cameras on the third floor, only on the first and second floors.
Lily only found footage from the second floor showing her getting drugged outside the bathroom, but the footage from last night had been deleted.
Lily copied the surveillance data. As far as she knew, the only person who could restore the footage was someone on the dark web.
But since that incident happened, she hadn't had any contact with anyone from the dark web.
Lily lay down to sleep and rest. She needed to think things through.
After last night's events, she was pretty tired now.
Lily fell asleep as soon as she lay down until someone woke her up. She sat up with impatience in her eyes.
Zoey stood by the bed saying, "The leadership is here and wants to talk to you. It's probably about that forum post!"
"Lily, you're done for now. Let's see if you'll behave when the leadership tells you to unlock the phones!"
Wendy sneered from the side, hoping Lily would get disciplined!
Lily changed clothes and walked out of the dorm, then received a call from David.
"Lily, I heard you've already crossed the Harper family on your first day. If you want to die, don't drag the Roberts family down with you!"
"Sophie told on me, right?"
"Sophie is doing this for your own good. She even begged me to help you smooth things over with the Harper family. She's not cold-blooded like you!"
David said coldly: "As long as you bow your head and beg me, I'll help you."
