Chapter 129 Apology
Isaac shook his head: "Lily's answer is correct. This was originally our final exam question."
For a moment, all the students in the classroom showed surprised expressions.
Was Lily really that good?
She knew it before even starting to learn?
Sophie felt a bit unwilling. She said sarcastically, "Lily, I know you have a good memory and can remember answers at a glance, but you can't cheat like this."
There was no way Lily could solve this problem.
She must have memorized the answer.
Facing Sophie's doubt, Lily wasn't surprised at all.
She calmly replied: "Your brain is as dumb as a pig's, and you think you're qualified to question me?"
"Lily, stop changing the subject."
Sophie's face immediately turned red with anger: "You don't know how to solve this problem at all. You must have secretly searched for the answer on your phone just now, so you could write it down completely. That doesn't mean you're so great!"
Samantha had been shocked earlier and actually thought that Lily was that impressive.
Turns out she was faking it too.
Sophie put on a righteous look: "Lily, I'm exposing you for your own good, so you won't keep making mistakes. After all, lying is wrong."
Lily laughed out loud: "You're an idiot. Do you think everyone else is as dumb as you? Someone who scored zero on the SAT - where do you get off acting like you're doing me a favor?"
Sophie's face instantly turned bright red. She felt like everyone around was laughing at her.
Samantha also showed a disdainful expression, but she didn't want Lily to feel smug either, so she directly retorted: "Our business school admission doesn't look at grades. We receive elite education - something a hick like you would never understand."
Lily smirked: "Since you're so great, why don't you solve this problem?"
"Solving this problem is too simple. We study programming code. If you really know this problem, then writing a small program shouldn't be hard, right?"
The smile in Lily's eyes deepened: "You want to bet with me?"
"Yes, if you can really write a small program, then it proves you can indeed solve this problem! But if you lose, you have to apologize to the teacher and classmates for your lies!"
Lily saw Samantha looking all smug.
She said flatly: "Then what if you lose?"
"How could I possibly lose!"
Samantha was very confident; after all, she had already learned these courses.
Lily raised her eyebrows: "Don't dare to bet? Afraid of losing?"
"Who says I'm afraid of losing? Let's bet then!"
"Fine, then if you lose, you also have to apologize to me for slandering others!"
Lily's attitude was very bold!
The students present, and Isaac, all held doubtful attitudes, thinking that Lily was really asking for trouble by targeting Samantha like this!
"Too bad, Lily, you're definitely going to lose."
Samantha confidently walked up to the podium: "How about we start with the school forum and write a redirect code?"
Samantha used Isaac's computer and directly opened the school forum.
But the forum's headline was about Lily staying out all night and being materialistic.
Samantha deliberately let everyone see this to ruin Lily's reputation!
Samantha quickly wrote a code and directly redirected to open that post, along with photos of Lily getting out of a luxury car.
Everyone was now discussing Lily staying out all night.
Samantha said smugly, "Lily, why don't you explain why you stayed out all night and got out of a luxury car?"
"Yesterday, was that her first time riding in a luxury car?"
"The designer clothes she's wearing today - did she sleep her way into getting them?"
Samantha's followers started jeering and mocking Lily.
Lily's expression was cold: "Spreading rumors carries legal responsibility. It's just a luxury car - it's not like I can't afford to buy one!"
Her income now wasn't low at all.
Besides income from the streaming platform, there was also her salary from Maple Leaf Corporation, plus project bonuses.
Samantha laughed loudly: "Oh my god, Lily, you're just a hick, stop bragging here."
"Lily, do you know how much that luxury car costs? You've probably never seen that much money in your entire life!"
"A hick is a hick, doesn't even know to think before bragging!"
Samantha said while laughing, "Lily, now it's your turn. If you can't do it, apologize in advance, and I'll consider letting you off."
"The one who's going to lose is you."
Lily walked to the computer, her slender fingers dancing across the keyboard.
She quickly wrote a code, planted it in the post, and started rapidly collecting keyword comments.
Lily said flatly, "All the people who participated in spreading rumors - their phones will be locked. Unless they post a new apology, their phones will never be unlocked."
Her tone was calm.
Samantha sneered: "Lily, aren't you being a bit too arrogant? Can this little code you wrote really do that?"
"Damn it, why did my phone go black?"
"Mine too, the page is stuck on this post. I can only post one thing, can't do anything else."
Samantha also suspiciously took out her phone - sure enough, it had a black screen.
She said angrily, "Lily, what did you do? Unlock my phone. What gives you the right to lock my phone!"
Lily suddenly laughed: "So you admit that I won this bet?"
The expression on Samantha's face instantly froze.
Only then did she realize that Lily had actually done it.
Now the atmosphere in the classroom had changed quite a bit.
Lily rested one hand on the podium, staring at Samantha: "Apologize!"
Samantha took two steps back: "What gives you the right to make me apologize?"
"So you're saying you don't want to honor the bet?"
Samantha was speechless for a moment.
Sophie stood up and said, "Lily, this bet only proves you didn't lose, but Ms. Harper didn't lose either. She also wrote the code - you guys tied!"
"That's right, it's a tie!"
Samantha didn't want to apologize.
Lily scoffed: "This is just being a sore loser, isn't it?"
Sophie continued: "Lily, we're all classmates. You don't need to be so aggressive. It was normal for Ms. Harper to expose you earlier - after all, this is the first class. Who would believe you know so much?"
Lily clapped: "Wonderful, Ms. Harper, your dog speaks quite well."
Sophie's face turned ugly. Who was she calling a dog?
Samantha raised her eyebrows: "What, are you jealous? Hurry up and unlock everyone's phones!"
"As I said, the way to unlock them is simple. Just post an apology, and once the post is approved, the phone will be unlocked."
Lily's expression was somewhat cold.
Samantha didn't want to apologize at all.
She looked directly at Isaac: "Mr. Peterson, you saw how excessively Lily is behaving. Help everyone delete Lily's little program."
"Okay."
Isaac glanced at Lily: "Although you do have some talent, talent needs to be used for the right purposes."
Lily smiled, but didn't quite smile. The code she wrote wasn't that easy to crack!
After Isaac finished speaking, he started working on Lily's code, but he found that no matter what he did, he couldn't crack the small program Lily wrote.
Isaac's expression changed considerably. After looking at Lily in surprise, he started taking it seriously.
But in the end, he still couldn't crack the code Lily wrote.
Samantha was getting anxious: "Mr. Peterson, why aren't our phones unlocked yet?"
Isaac was somewhat shocked and embarrassed: "I, I can't unlock it either!"
"What? Mr. Peterson, even you can't unlock it? How is that possible!"
Samantha completely didn't believe it.
How could Lily be this good?
Isaac pushed up his glasses. He had underestimated Lily earlier.
He knew she was somewhat strong, but didn't expect her to be this strong!
Sophie's phone was also locked. She had a lot of important stuff in there, but she also didn't want to post an apology!
She stood up and accused Lily: "Do you know what you're doing is illegal?"
Lily twirled the chalk, smiling: "Well, you guys slandering me is also illegal."
Talk about the law - who doesn't know how?
At this moment, several police officers walked into the classroom.
Samantha's eyes lit up: "You came just in time. Lily is right here - arrest her!"
