Chapter 354 Shawn Seems Pretty Into Her

Chapter 354 Shawn Seems Pretty Into Her
"Stop watching it. I’ll send it to you. Just don’t read too much into it tonight.” Nicole smiled as she AirDropped the video to her.
Rosalind’s mind was in turmoil.
After having lunch, she drove back home with Nicole.
Rosalind’s parents had always taken good care of Nicole and treated her like their own daughter.
During dinner, Clint asked in a low voice, "How much do you know about this Mr. Wren you've been talking about?"
Nicole paused.
She glanced at Rosalind, who was shoveling food into her mouth.
Nicole lowered her voice. "Those two just ran into each other at my place. Shawn seems pretty into her. He even went out of his way to bring her lunch today.”
Clint nodded. “So, did those two succeed?”
"Of course!" Nicole smiled and continued eating.
"That's good," Clint replied, then added, "Give her a nudge for me. It's about time she got married."
Nicole glanced at Rosalind, who was still buried in her food, but Philip caught her glance.
Realizing she’d been noticed, she quickly looked away.
Philip ate his meal thoughtfully.
"Don't meddle in the kids' affairs," Beatrice Hollis whispered from beside him.
"Yes," Clint agreed.
Then he turned back to Nicole and said, "Keep an eye on things for me."
"Of course," Nicole replied, feeling the weight on her shoulders grow much heavier.

Nicole had been staying at Rosalind’s house for over half a month.
There was still no news from Dwayne.
As she lay tossing and turning in Rosalind’s bed, she suddenly remembered the old garden Rosalind had mentioned.
"Want to go see the flowers?" she asked Rosalind, who was sitting at her computer working.
Rosalind had been waiting for her to bring it up. "I heard that old lady Margot Eames is selling the garden. It’d be the perfect excuse to go take a look.”
"She's selling it?!"
Rosalind closed her laptop. "Yeah. It's really expensive—way above market price—and she's not very friendly. It still hasn’t sold.”
"Then we really should go check it out."
The two went to get changed.
As they were leaving, they ran into Philip, who was just about to head out himself.
He gave them a ride.
"I've got some errands to run, but I'll be back soon. If you’re done sightseeing before I get back, just wait for me. I’ll come pick you up later.” Philip drove off, glancing in the rearview mirror at the two women huddled together and whispering in the backseat.
Rosalind didn’t even look up. "Got it!"
After getting out of the car, the two turned the corner and saw the courtyard.
The climbing flowers had already been cut back, and sanitation workers were sweeping up leaves and twigs.
"If only we had come a day or two earlier, we could have gotten a photo," Nicole said, sounding disappointed.
Rosalind tugged Nicole along as they walked around the perimeter of the courtyard.
"Let’s go!" She tugged on Nicole’s arm and hurried after them.
“Slow down!” Nicole whispered.

Someone knocked on the door, and it took quite a while before Margot came to open it.
“Here to look at the yard?” Margot glanced at the four people in the doorway, her tone curt.
The man smiled apologetically. "Margot, you must have forgotten. I spoke with you on the phone just a moment ago."
She glanced at them and muttered under her breath, "Fine."
She stepped aside to let them in. "Come on in. Watch your step—don't trample anything."
“Thank you!” The man nodded and signaled for the others to follow.
Rosalind and Nicole followed suit.
Before long, Margot walked out carrying a basket.
Nicole finally sighed in relief.
They walked around the entire property.
Rosalind asked, “Do you like it?”
“I do,” Nicole said. "I could even see myself sitting here at night, brewing a cup of coffee, setting out some snacks, and enjoying the company of someone special. That would be so nice.”
Rosalind leaned against her shoulder and smiled.

“Does Margot really have to sell the whole building? Who would want this junk? I’d have to spend money tearing it down and rebuilding it. What a waste of time. If she’d just clear it out and lower the price, I might consider it,” the man muttered.
Nicole remained seated in her chair. "This place is so cozy. If I were her, I’d never want to move.”
She turned to Rosalind. "Rosalind, if you end up with Shawn, what kind of life do you imagine for the two of you?"
Rosalind rolled her eyes at her. “What’s going through your head?”
No sooner had she spoken than Margot walked in from outside.
Her gaze fell on Nicole. "Are you Nicole? Dwayne’s sister?”
Nicole and Rosalind both stood up.
Nicole replied, "Yeah."
Margot walked up to her, sized her up from head to toe, and pulled an egg out of her basket.
Without hesitation, she smashed the egg against Nicole's head.
