Chatting Vampire
They both broke into laughter and I glared at them. Maybe I shouldn’t have told them anything at all. Or told them a lie, I mean they had to know I wasn’t fibbing on this one. I wasn’t doing any of the stuff I would normally do. So I waited till they were done with their fit and took another breath.
“I am pretty sure you two being my parents could tell if I was telling you a story. Look into my eyes and tell me what you see when I say I am a vampire.” I told them both wanting to get this over with.
They both looked at me and then gasped. They knew me well enough to know that I hadn’t made it up. I would walk the earth for the rest of my life, I hated that idea at times but right now I was fine with it. So I sighed and slumped in the chair I sat in.
“Vampires aren’t real!” My mother said with fear in her voice.
“So you think. Shall I show you that I really am? I promise you I am though; you have an amazing scent about you. AB positive blood, with a touch of sex hidden in there.” I wanted to gag on that last bit.
My mother gasped at me and my Dad, well he was a man he puffed up his chest and then lost it as he figured out that I knew he had slept with my mom. Like I cared either way, I knew my mom’s soon to be ex cheated on her. So it was nothing but a thing in my life. A way of life in fact, but I hated the fact that mom never gave him another chance. He was a great guy who cared about my mom.
“I can also mesmerize you, but I am not the best at it. Draven however is amazing at it. All these years I really thought he ate normal food.” I waved over to him, wanting to eat him.
“I have my moments when it works, other times it doesn’t” Draven told her with a smile, then winking at the image she sent him.
“Wait then you can’t go out in the sun, or go to church. What about Holy objects and garlic.” My mom asked looked sad.
Well my mom was on the right track maybe, to many movies I think. So we talked about it for a few moments and then I could tell that they still didn’t believe me so I let my fangs slip down and showed them to my mother who screamed her fool head off. I almost laughed my head off, but I stopped before I brought myself to tears.
“See I have fangs. No they aren’t fake.” I told him showing her the elongated teeth.
“My god, you really are a vampire. Should we be worried that you will drink from us?” My mom asked the huffed when Dad elbowed her.
“MOM really, why the hell would I do that? I drink bagged blood and they are working on synthetic bloods for helping to build the blood that the humans don’t give. The supply is always low and we don’t want to take from others. Hence the reason vampires have their own blood banks.” I told her with a sigh.
“Well if you need blood I am willing to give you some sweetheart.” Hunter told her with a smile.
I gave my Dad a smile and almost cried at the way he talked. I explained to them that the kidnappers killed me by giving me an overdose of special K. For those of you out there that don’t know what that is, well it is Ketamine. It is normally used on animals but they thought it would ok to give to a normal human. Dumb asses killed me before they had a chance to do anything else. I would have stayed dead if it hadn’t been for Draven. He turned me in the van on the way to the labs. I found out later that he was head of the whole thing. Crazy man was too stupid to just ask other vamps to have their humans to help.
“That is great Dad but I am fine really, I do want to warn you though. I have been having some trouble with my anger. It is hard for me to fight it at times.” I told him and hateing that I had no control at times.
Draven put his hand on my shoulder and I sighed at the touch. Something about him drew me closer but I feared what was there. Was he affection because he made me? I didn’t really know for sure, he never tried anything when I was human. Plus he had never said he loved me, I made sure to block my thoughts from him not wanting him to think that I needed him to say such things. Deep in my heart I think I wanted to have him sweep me off my feet and love me forever. My mind on the other hand wasn’t sure that it wanted to be stuck with just him. I did have all my life to find the right guy. Why did that thought hurt me? I sighed and looked at my parents whom seemed to be in a conversation with Draven.
“So Draven, why did you use a fake name?” My mother asked because she had been the one to help me find a baody guard.
“I wanted to live a simple life, when my parents left me the money and the company I didn’t want to be seen for the bank roll. So I took up the job of bodyguard.” Draven explained to her.
“I see, so…wait your not one of the Defleaux. My god if you are you are worth more than the president.” Mom always could hunt money.
“Yes I am that Draven, my mother would love to hear you say such a thing. She is on tour of Europe at the moment. You would love her I think.” It was a thought of my mother meeting his. Scary really.
“I take it your mother is a vampire as well.” Hunter spooke up to find out more information.
“Yes she is, but she is very into the bagged blood. I have ordered the first round of PlazMax. It is the first of the bottled bloods to be made. I am hoping that it will work as well if not better than the bagged blood.” Draven wanted to help vampires tohide a little better.
“That would be a money maker if you are able to sell it.” Mom told him her mind working over time.
