Chapter 159

Chapter 159
Charlotte

Today was the big day. She was “officially” moving in with her man! Although she had technically been staying with Sam since they had marked and mated, the new house would be a place that belonged to both of them.

Late last night, she and Sam had picked up the keys for the Beta residence on Blackrock. It was a super cute three-bedroom two story log cabin on a small cul-de-sac about a half of mile from the Pack house. They had taken a small tour and Charlotte loved everything about it.

There was a large fireplace in the living room, an open concept kitchen and dining room. The master suite was huge with an en-suite and a walk-in closet that was about half of the size as her entire apartment in the city. The second bedroom was right next door and had obviously been a nursery at one time. Even though the construction was rugged, there was a soft elegance about the whole place that appealed to her.

To add to her excitement, Sam has promised that once they got all of their personal belongings moved into the house, he would take her shopping for proper furniture. The furniture in her apartment were part of the rental, and all he had in his room at the pack house was a bedroom suit which they agreed to keep. It made her happy to know they would be basically starting out by choosing the things in their home together.

Kami and Cole were also moving into the Zeta quarters while they had the moving truck rented. They had spent the morning at Kami’s efficiency apartment boxing up her personal items. The couple was currently enroute to meet Sam and Charlotte at Charlotte's apartment. The Twins, Matt and Wendi had just arrived to act as a large moving crew. She knew with everyone pitching it, both couples would be completely moved in and ready to sleep in their own bed by nightfall.

The crew was boxing up Charlotte’s kitchen and living room when Matt cleared his throat. “I have such a bone to pick with you ladies. You totally broke the bro code. One of you really should have warned me that your friend is a psycho stalker.”

Everyone stopped rolling items in day old newspapers and looked at him. “What are you talking about?” Charlotte asked with a concerned look.

“I broke up with that girl Christy a week ago. She kept calling and texting so I ghosted her.” Matt explained. “I didn’t think any more about it until she showed up at the front gate yesterday.”

“I’m really beginning to hate the sound of her name.” Wendi muttered.

“What did she want?” Cole said as he shot Kami a knowing look that made Charlotte’s stomach queasy.

“She insisted she needed to get back into my office. She kept talking about an earring she left in there. But I know for a fact she didn't leave an earring in there.” Matt said.

“You didn't let her in?” Alex said with a look of horror.

“I did, just to get her to go away. The whole thing was really weird, because she apparently found the lost earring that I know wasn't in there.” Matt said with a confused shrug.

“How do you know the earring wasn't in there?” Leo asked.

Matt chuckled. “Because I've had to have housekeeping in there twice in the last week to clean because somebody keeps having sex in my office and stinking the place up.” He gave Cole a dirty look. Cole didn't even bother try to look guilty. He just smirked.

“There's just no way that Lisa's team would miss a big ole hoop diamond earring.” Matt complained.
“Why would it be so important for her to get into his office?” Wendi asked “That doesn’t even sound right. Especially if she didn't damage anything like for revenge or something.”

Kami began hopping from one foot to the other like she had too much sugar. “I need to tell you something,” she said. “I need to tell you what I did in your office.”

Matt started laughing and rolled his eyes. “I know what you did in my office.”

‘I don't mean that! Actually I need to start at the beginning.” She explained. “Remember when someone cyber-attacked Twin Inc and tried to hack Matt's computer. Well I tracked it back and realized it was just his Gamma computer. I also found out the attack originated from the computer lab at the college. I know it was that loser Keith, which made me realize Christy was probably in on it.”

“Why would Christy be interested in the gamma computer? She doesn't know about the wolves so she wouldn't know we had border patrol.” Alex said, and Charlotte could tell Alex was getting frustrated.

“Kami may or may not have illegally hacked Christy's phone. Christy and Jenny have been texting each other.” Cole admitted sheepishly.

“We have a major problem,” Matt said. “She could easily give our border patrols and employee rosters to Silvermoon.” He sounded alarmed.

“Well…. She actually can't. See you remember I said a did a thing in your office. So I basically broke into your computer and mirrored your hard drive. I superimposed fake maps over everything in there. I also totally fabricated the border patrol and defense maps. I hung them up in your office the last time Cole and I ruined your desk. If she looks closely at the warrior training logs, she's going to see that Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne have recently failed their efficiency exams.” Kami said with a sadistic laugh.

“I'm glad she doesn't have the information she needs, but we still have a problem. If Jenny is using Christy to get those maps, Silvermoon is planning to attack us. We have to be ready.” Alex said as she absent-mindedly squeezed the trinket he had been wrapping in paper.

Wendi reached out and took it from his hand before he broke it. “We will be. Since we know they're coming, we'll be ready for them.”

“When they come, that Bitch tits, Christy is MINE!” Kami declared.
