Chapter 166 Arrest
Chapter 166 Arrest
Sarah noticed something was wrong with Ella and asked.
"Ella, why aren't you answering your phone? Who's calling?"
"It's Austin," Ella said with a frown.
"What does that asshole want now?" Sarah said angrily.
Just then, the phone stopped ringing and showed a new message had arrived.
Ella opened the messaging app and took a look. It was from Austin.
"Answer the phone. I have information about the person who hurt you."
Seeing this message, Ella quickly called Austin back. Once connected, she asked coldly.
"What information do you have? Tell me."
"I've found out that the person who hurt you was hired by Carol. I found the money transfer records between them."
"What did you say? Are you saying the person trying to kill me recently is Carol?" Ella asked, somewhat confused.
"That's right. My people just found this out. I'll send you the evidence. As for what to do with it, that's up to you."
Actually, Austin was a bit angry at this moment. Earlier, when he called Ella, she didn't answer.
"I also just found out that when I was ten years old, it was also Carol who trafficked me. With this evidence, I can send her to prison."
Hearing Ella say this, Austin was also shocked. So this Carol had been hurting Ella for many years. This kind of person absolutely cannot be let off.
"I understand. I'll send you the evidence right away."
"Thanks!" Ella felt that no matter what, she should thank Austin.
After all, Austin had helped her find such important evidence.
"No need to thank me!"
After Austin finished speaking, he ended the call and sent the evidence to Ella.
Looking at the evidence on her phone, Ella said with a serious expression.
"You guys need to come with me. I want to hand this evidence over to the police."
Jason and Sarah were quite surprised to see this evidence.
"This vicious bitch has such a cruel heart. So it was her who kept hurting Ella again and again?" Sarah said angrily.
"Ella, I'll go with you. We must send her to prison and make her get the punishment she deserves." Jason also stood up and said angrily.
Ella nodded, picked up her phone, and went to the police station with Jason and Sarah.
After they arrived, they handed all the evidence to the police.
Ella also contacted Henry, who had already finished collecting evidence.
At the same time, news came from another city that Isaac, the hitman hired by Carol, had been caught.
Isaac confessed to the crime without hiding anything and also admitted that he was instructed by Carol.
The police immediately decided to arrest Carol.
So they acted quickly and immediately sent officers straight to Carol's home.
As the victim, Ella clearly stated that she would absolutely not forgive Carol and hoped the police would punish her severely.
Carol and Judith had just come home from shopping.
They were showing off their newly bought clothes in front of the mirror when suddenly there was a knock on the door.
Carol walked over, opened the door, and saw two people in uniform standing at the entrance. Her heart sank, but she pretended to be calm and asked.
"Excuse me, who are you looking for?"
"You're Carol, right? Come with us. You're suspected of child trafficking and hiring someone to commit murder. The evidence is solid. We're here to arrest you."
"Are you making some kind of mistake? How could I possibly do these things? There must be a misunderstanding." Carol instinctively denied it.
At this moment, Judith also heard the commotion and came to the door. Seeing the scene, her face turned pale with fear.
"Mom, what's going on?"
"All the evidence is now solid. You are under arrest." The officer took out handcuffs and put them directly on Carol.
Carol felt her legs go weak. She forced herself to turn around and said to Judith.
"Judith, you need to take care of yourself. I'm going with them."
"Mom, you'll be fine. I'll find a way to save you." Judith said with a choked voice.
Judith just watched helplessly as Carol was put into the police car, which then drove away with its sirens blaring.
She stood at the door, feeling a chill down her spine, her body trembling involuntarily.
At this moment, John came back staggering with a bottle of alcohol. Judith rushed over to him like she'd found a lifeline, grabbed his arm, and said.
"Dad, hurry and save Mom. Mom was taken away by the police."
"What? What happened?" John was scared half sober.
"They said my mom hired someone to kill someone."
Actually, Judith knew very well what Carol had done. Judith was completely aware of it all.
She just didn't know that Ella being trafficked years ago was also orchestrated by Carol.
"That bitch always acts on her own. This is what she deserves. I don't have time to deal with her." John shook off Judith's hand and staggered back into the house.
Judith wanted to go to the police station, but didn't dare. After all, she had also done so many things to hurt Ella.
If they traced it back to her, she wouldn't be able to escape.
After Ella finished giving her statement, she stated her demand - she would absolutely not forgive Carol for hurting her and hoped the police would punish her severely.
Henry and the investigating officers all said that this kind of person with such terrible crimes would definitely be severely punished.
Ella thanked them. Just as she was about to leave the police station, urgent police car sirens came from outside.
Ella and the others looked in that direction and saw Carol being brought down from the police car, with shiny handcuffs on her wrists.
"Carol is finally arrested. That's great." Sarah said happily.
"She's getting what she deserves!" Jason also said through gritted teeth.
Ella watched as Carol was brought in. When Carol saw Ella, her eyes were full of viciousness. She glared at Ella and shouted through clenched teeth.
"Ella, you're lucky to be alive. But don't get too happy. Even if I die, I'll curse you!"
"Shut up! This is a police station. How dare you be so arrogant? Take her away." An officer scolded sternly.
As Carol was being taken away, she still turned her head and glared viciously at Ella, her eyes full of anger and resentment.
When Ella and the others left the police station, Ella felt refreshed. She had finally seen Carol's miserable end.
Three days later, the police sent news to Ella.
They said Carol had confessed to her crimes without hiding anything.
Combined with her previous crimes, with all charges combined, she would probably spend the rest of her life in prison.
Ella felt it was truly satisfying. She told Sarah and Jason the news and invited them both to dinner.
