Chapter 101 Ask For My Permission
“You have to ask for my permission first Mr Buenavista” Ana said to him.
Fernando smiled and nodded “ Yes and I will
make sure you say yes”
Ana laughed “ Why so confident? I might just reject you two hindered times”
Fernando smirked and gave her a quick kiss on the lip.
Ana was cut off guard that she held her lips.
“Stop it, I have told you before that you need to ask for my permission”
Fernando laughed “Fine I will ask for your permission the next time” he said but that was an obvious lie.
Ana rolled her eyes “ You can go now I thought you said you have work to do?” Fernando nodded.
“Will you come with I and Thea this weekend for our outing? He asked but hoped she said yes.
Ana shakes her head “No, You both should spend time together alone, I do not want to interfere” Ana said.
Fernando was not happy with her reply but nodded because he had a plan to make her come with them “I will be on my way now”
Ana nodded
Fernando looked at her one more time before going to his car.
Ana watched as his car drove out of the compound.
She turned around and was shocked to see Nala standing there look at her with a smile on her face
“Ana, that was quick,” Nala said.
Ana coughed “Did you see anything?”
“Everything” Nala said
Ana closed her eyes in embarrassment.
“You are blushing,” Nala said.
She held her cheeks and sighed “It's obvious”
Nala nodded
“Do not tell anybody what you saw”
Nala nodded “ Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me”
Ana sighed in relief.
The next day, when Emiliano landed into the country he came straight to the house to see Thea and made sure to buy her lots of presents.
Uncle Emiliano “Thea zaid as she rushed down the stairs”
“Be careful my love, why are you running down the stairs? What happened to the elevator?” Emiliano asked in worry.
“It’s under maintenance,” Ana replied, fully dressed for work.
Emiliano had come very early before she left for work and she was about to she breakfasts with Thea and her mother since Nala already left very early to the hospital
Emiliano did not reply and just went to hug Thea and carried her up.
“Wow you are so heavy. What have you been eating? Did they feed you a lot of food in the hospital?”
Thea nodded “Yes, my dad had transferred me to his hospital and placed me in the best room that looks like a 5 star hotel and they gave me freshly made healthy food from his family chef. And also aunty Nala had set up a party for me, inviting my friends and we ate so much” Thea went on and on.
Emiliano enjoyed listening to her accept the part where she had mentioned her father.
“I’m happy you had so much fun and that you have fully recovered. Your birthday is next month so you need to be healthy to celebrate it”
Thea nodded
Ana left them in the living room and went to have breakfast and her mother was also on the table.
Griselda looked at her daughter “He has always loved you from the very start” she said.
Ana raised her head and looked at her in surprise.
They usually had their breakfast in silence without her mother speaking to her but now she was suddenly talking to her.
“I only got to know four years ago,” Ana said to her.
“It’s sad you can’t love him back. He must be so heartbroken waiting for you all this years”
Ana did not know if her mother's goal was to make her feel guilty, and if it was, then it was working.
“I’m sure he has always wanted to be Thea's father but that won’t be possible now and also with Fernando in the picture again I’m sure you are thinking of going back to him” Griselda asked.
Ana sighed trying not to reply her mother
“Am I not right?” Griselda asked.
Ana looked at her mother with a frown on her face.
“You have succeeded in making me feel guilty so stop mother, it’s enough”
Griselda said nothing more and just left the table without eating her breakfast.
Ana looked at her plate and saw it was still full and untouched. This just spoiled her mood.
She finished breakfast and went back to meet Thea and Emiliano in the living room.
She overheard Thea telling him about her and her father going out to have fun tomorrow and how she will use the opportunity to visit lots of places with him.
Ana wondered how Emiliano would feel hearing this.
“Mom” Thea rushed to her mother and held her hand.
“Daddy tested me last night and said I should beg you to come with us. Please mummy come with us okay. It’s going to be fun. I want to be able to go out with both of you at the same time. I always see other children going out with both parents and I want to experience that”
Ana smiled at her daughter as she looked towards Emiliano who acted calm.
“I will think about it”
“You sure” Thea pouted
Ana nodded, she already told Fernando she did not want to come and he didn't have to use Thea to get her to agree. She did not like his pettiness.
Ana bent down to her level “I have to go to work now, mummy loves you”
“Okay mummy, I love you too” Thea gave her kisses in both checks and Ana did the same. It was their daily routine.
Ana stood up and before leaving the house, she looked at Emiliano who was staring at her with a blank expression on his face.
After spending more time with Thea. Emiliano had left the house.
On his way to the office, he recalled all Thea said and he clenched his fist tight. He thought he would be okay with Thea getting to know her father but after finding out that Ana and him will never have a romantic relationship, all his hope was lost and now the idea of Fernando having his child call him father and Ana being close to him or having a romantic relationship with him really angers him.
Now they are going to have a family time tomorrow.
“So I will lose in the end?” Emiliano said to himself and clenched his fist tight.
