Chapter 100 This Time Legitimately
“You should pick your call,” Fernando said to her.

Ana hesitated.

Thea and Griselda were already looking at her.

Ana decided to pick the call “Hello

Emiliano” 

At the mention of Emiliano, Fernando looked up at her.

“ I heard what happened and I did not call to talk to you, so please hand the phone over to Thea” Emiliano said.

“Okay” and said he went to hand the phone to Thea.

Thea smiled happily when she saw him “Uncle Emiliano”

Fernando looked at Thea but returned his attention to what he was doing.

He was not bothered although he doesn’t like Emiliano but he doesn’t mind the closeness his daughter has with him. Emiliano was there fro. the start and was most definitely good to his daughter.

He is however relieved with the fact that his daughter did not refer to him as Dad, if not that would have broken him. He is glad that Ana did not think about having something serious with Emiliano and thus Thea calling him father.

“I missed you so much, why are you not here” Thea pouted 

Emiliano smiled “I’m sorry my love, uncle is so busy which is why he is not there but I will return very soon when I finish what I’m doing here”

“Okay” Thea smiled in understanding.

“But you have to buy me a huge present” 

“Sure I will” Emiliano said

Thea clapped happily.

Emiliano was glad  she was happy even with the bandage in her forehead and hand

“Uncle my father is here” Thea said  happily as she turned the camera to face Fernando's direction.

Emiliano did not expect her to do that nor did he expect Fernando to be there “ Wasn’t he a busy man?”

And the fact that she was already referring to him as father made him feel hurt. He knows he is her biological father but still there was a time he wanted that title of father so much.

Fernando raised his head and stared at Emiliano on the phone. He returned his attention to what he was doing without saying anything to him.

Ana looked at the phone and at Fernando. Fernando was so calm while Emiliano seemed annoyed. 

Thea noticing the awkwardness and realizing this two might not know or like each other, she turned the camera to face her.

“I will talk to you later uncle, but know that I love you” Thea waved at him.

“I love you too my best girl” Emiliano blew her a kiss.

Thea cut the call and gave her mother the phone back.

Griselda had noticed all that happened and felt that Ana and Emiliano were having issues because he did not want to speak to her.

She might be an old woman but she knows that Emiliano has loved her daughter from the very start 

Fernando had returned back home that night promising to return back to tomorrow.

Nala heard what happened and rushed to the hospital but was glad her niece was okay. 

The family of 4 spent their night in the hospital. Thea was so happy because she was deeply loved 

The next morning Fernando had prepared for her transfer to his family hospital immediately.

He had made sure they placed her in a room at the top floor that looked like a five star hotel. It did not look like they were in a hospital at all.

“Oh my God, this is so beautiful,” Nala said as she looked around. 

“But it’s expected, your father is a billionaire and your mother is a million,” Nala said as she played with Thea. 

“Do you like it?” Fernando asked Thea.

Thea nodded “ Yes I love it, I’m glad it looks like a normal room at home because the hospital makes me feel sick”

Fernando touched her hair gently and in a loving way “I’m glad you like it”

Thea smiled and played with her father while the others sat on the living room couch. The hospital room had a large living room area.

Ana and her family looked at both father and daughter. 

“He looks so happy” Nala said “Who would have thought Fernando buenavista would have this side to him” Nala added.

“No matter how rigid a person is, he is going to seem weak in front of his own child,” Griselda said. 

Ana nodded in agreement, she smiled and again felt bad for keeping Thea away all these years.



Three days passed and Thea had fully recovered and was now ready to return home.

Nala prepared a welcome back home party for her and invited all her friends in school including her class teacher to come celebrate with her. Griselda had assisted in organizing it. 

Everyone was present except Thea and her parents who were to bring her back home.

Ana looked at both father and daughter as they stayed close to each other with Thea resting her read on his chest.

The car drove into the compound and they stepped out.

Fernandl held Thea’s hand as they went into the house. 

This was the first time he was going to step into Ana’s house. 

They stepped inside and everyone screamed 

“Welcome home Thea!!”

Thea's face widened in a smile. She let go of her father's hand and rushed to hug all her classmates. 

She was happy they were here to welcome her home. Fernando was surprised and looked at Ana’s.

“You did not tell me there was a mini party to welcome her home”

Ana shaked her head “I’m just as surprised as you” I didn’t know about this, seems like her aunty prepared it for her” 

Fernando nodded and they both went to the living room area to meet the others.

He liked around the house and could see that Ana had a good taste for interior and it was bigger than it had appeared.

He turned his attention to his daughter who was taking her time to hug everyone.

He was happy to see her happy, and was glad she had lots of friends already.

After staying for two hours he went to kiss his daughter goodbye because he needed to return to work.

“I will miss you” Fernando said

“Me too,” Thea said.

“Don’t worry this weekend we will go on our fun date” Fernando said. 

Thea nodded happily. He hugged her again before leaving.

Ana went to see him off and while they were outside, he  suddenly held her hand.

“Fernando, anyone can see,” Ana said as she looked around. 

And why are you worried about that, huh? We are both single and we are both the parents of Thea. She won’t find it strange”.

“I’m sure she wants both her parents to get married”

“Why are you suddenly talking about marriage?” Ana asked him.

Fernando bent a bit to look at her face. She was putting on flats so it was a bit shorter.

“Because that is my goal, to make you my wife but this time legitimately” He declared.
