Chapter 172 - Bonus – Back To School - One

Bonus – Back To School - One
Zander’s POV

In some ways, it feels weird to be back at LSU. Especially now that I have a fiancée and babies on the way. I kind of feel bad that Isabella won’t be able to have the full college experience, but I will be there with her every step of the way. I finally have my arm out of the sling, and I’m signed up for physiotherapy twice a week down here. My eyesight is back to normal, and the doctor said I have to wear a mandatory mouthguard while playing football. Isabella’s scar is healing well, and I’m counting the days until she gets the clearance for intimacy. I’m dreaming nightly of burying my face in her. Isabella complains every morning that my morning wood is jabbing her. I chuckled to myself.

Classes start tomorrow, and I’m currently driving Isabella to the business building on campus so she can meet with the instructors to review lesson plans and get information on the upcoming tutoring semester. We pulled up to the parking lot outside the building, and I headed around the truck to Isabella’s door and opened it. The doctor still wants her to take it cautiously: no pushing or pulling, and no lifting anything over 10 pounds. She is super frustrated about this because her backpack, which holds all her books, weighs more than 10 pounds. I reached out to Trina and Suzie yesterday, and they said they have her covered and will make sure she behaves herself and doesn't overexert herself.

We walked into the building, and Theo was sitting in the rotunda. “Isabella!” Theo grinned. “So great to see you. Hi Zander.”

“Hi, Theo,” Isabella greeted. “How was your winter break?”

“It was great,” Theo advised. “All my siblings and their families came home to my parents’ place in Pittsburgh. There were a lot of people in the house. How was your break?”

“Um, where do I start?” Isabella laughed.

“Maybe start with this,” I said, lifting her hand with her engagement ring.

“You’re engaged?” Theo said, shocked.

“Yes, Zander and I got engaged,” Isabella announced.

“Wow,” Theo remarked. “Although I always thought something was going on between you two.”

“It’s very complicated,” I explained. “I’m sure Isabella will fill you in on it.” I bent down and kissed Isabella on the cheek. “I’ll be back in an hour, I’m just running to the stadium.”

“Drive safe, I love you,” Isabella said, smiling.

“I love you, too, bunny,” I replied and walked towards the doors.

The stadium parking lot was pretty empty except for a couple of cars. I parked and walked up to the player’s entrance.

“Marvin, my man,” I exclaimed as I saw him sitting on a chair by the entrance.

“Caveman! How are you doing?” Marvin grinned.

“I am doing fantastic,” I replied. “Finally have my arm out of the sling.”

“What happened?” Marvin asked. “I was trying to find out, but of course, they won’t give out personal information due to privacy.”

“We’ll have to have supper, and I’ll tell you all about it,” I declared. “It’s a really long story.”

“How is that pretty little Isabella doing?” Marvin asked, raising his eyebrows curiously.

“You mean my fiancée, Isabella?” I gloated.

“It’s about damn time, Golden Boy,” Marvin chuckled. “I knew the minute I met her she was a keeper. When is the wedding?”

“February on spring break,” I advised.

“Wow, that’s fast,” Marvin stated.

“Well, we want to get married as soon as possible,” I grinned. “The twins come in July.”

“TWINS?!?” Marvin screamed. “Golden Boy has perfect aim with more than footballs!” He laughed.

I snickered, “Yeah, I guess I do.”

“Congratulations, Zander,” Marvin told me. “Hey, Devo is inside clearing out his locker. Don’t say I told you, but he lost his scholarship. He needs to drop out of school.”

“What?” I said, shocked. “Why didn’t he tell me?”

“I think he didn’t want his pride hurt,” Marvin advised. “Please don’t say I told you.”

“I won’t,” I said, walking into the stadium. I pulled out my phone and called the student admissions office.

Isabella’s POV

I just spent the last 15 minutes explaining everything that happened over winter break to Theo.

“Holy shit, Isabella,” Theo sighed. “It sounds like one of those romance novels.”

I giggled, “It does, doesn’t it?”

“I’m so happy for you and Zander, though,” Theo advised. “I can’t help but say I’m jealous, since I wanted to date you, but I didn’t know that you were in love for so long without being allowed to be together. It’s very Romeo and Juliet.”

“I know, right?” I agreed. “Well, I should go see the professors.”

“Wait,” Theo replied. “I’ll come with you.”

We walked over to the offices and pushed through the doors.

After the meeting, Theo insisted on carrying everything back to the rotunda for me so I could wait for Zander.

“Izzy!” I heard squealing across the room. I looked up to see Trina and Suzie heading my way.

I stood up, and Suzie hugged me. “Be careful with her,” Trina chastised.

I giggled, “I’m ok for a hug, Trina.”

“I just want to make sure,” Trina stated as she took my hands. “WHAT. THE. FUCK!!” Suzie exclaimed as she looked at my engagement ring. “When did this happen?”

“Zander proposed over winter break,” I blushed.

They both started jumping up and down and squealing.

“Which actually brings me to a question,” I advised. “Do you ladies want to go to Hawaii over spring break for my wedding? My treat, of course.”

“Like we’re going to say no!” Suzie chuckled.

“Oh gosh, I need a new bikini!” Trina said, smiling.

“Really? We’re invited to Hawaii, and the first thing you think of is a bikini?” Suzie scoffed.

“Well, I have to look good for Niles,” Trina informed Suzie.

“Oh my gosh, I need a new bikini!” Suzie declared.

We all laughed. I’m so glad to be back at school with my friends and my fiancée. As if on cue, Zander walked through the door.
