Chapter 276 Comparison

David downed his drink in one gulp, then lifted his head slightly, his eyes provocatively sweeping over to Sophia. A playful smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. In that moment, his gaze exuded confidence and charm, silently declaring that even though he was divorced, many women still admired him.

Sophia felt David's gaze and couldn't help but feel a wave of irritation.

She had initially appreciated his gentlemanly behavior, but now his provocative look had stirred up her displeasure, successfully making her feel disgusted by him.

Bianca, standing nearby, also noticed Sophia's mood and felt a surge of annoyance. She knew David's charm was undeniable, but she didn't like his deliberate provocation. So, she pulled out her phone and quickly dialed Joseph's number, her tone carrying a hint of urgency. "Joseph, get to the bar! We need you here."

"And bring Alan too," Bianca added, hoping to liven up the atmosphere and distract Sophia.

Not long after, the bar door swung open, and Joseph and Alan walked in. Their entrance drew quite a few glances. Alan, tall and imposing, had an air of distinction, while Joseph's sunny, handsome appearance instantly made the bar's atmosphere more vibrant.

"Hey, you made it!" Bianca waved at them, a smile spreading across her face, hoping their presence would help lift Sophia's spirits.

At that moment, Ronald, dressed in a bartender's outfit, approached.

He placed the drinks Sophia and her friends had ordered on the table, then sat down right next to Sophia.

"Ms. Brown, need some company?"

"No..." Sophia began to refuse, but Bianca quickly covered her mouth.

"Yes, we do!" Bianca decided firmly. The more men around Sophia tonight, the better. She was determined to outshine that arrogant David!

"So, what should we do?" Ronald asked with a slight smile, his eyes full of anticipation.

"How about a game?" Ronald suggested, his smile widening.

Sophia nodded, a smile playing on her lips. "Sure, I was just looking for someone to play with."

David watched from the side, feeling a mix of disdain and confusion. Alexander, on the other hand, was a bit puzzled.

"How did Ronald end up with your ex-wife? This... is getting complicated."

Of course, Alexander didn't voice the latter half of his thought, but he felt glad he came tonight. He also thought Lucas would regret missing out on this.

The bar lights flickered, the music pulsed with rhythm, and Sophia was surrounded by several handsome men, making the atmosphere instantly lively.

Ronald, Joseph, and Alan stayed close to her, laughing and teasing each other, creating a relaxed and joyful vibe. Sophia's face held a gentle smile, making her look especially charming.

Tenley and the other girls in the bar watched from the side, filled with envy and jealousy. They whispered among themselves, their eyes glinting with admiration for Sophia. "She's so lucky to be surrounded by so many handsome guys!"

"Yeah, she's really fortunate," another girl agreed, her tone tinged with both envy and disdain.

Meanwhile, David sat off to the side, his face dark, filled with displeasure. Watching Sophia surrounded by all those guys stirred up jealousy and anger within him. Though he knew he couldn't show it, the dissatisfaction in his heart grew stronger. His gaze flickered between Sophia and the men around her, silently gritting his teeth.

'Quite the scene,' David thought with a cold snort, a faint smile on his lips as he tried to mask his emotions.

To distract himself, David decided to join Kerena and some other college girls for a board game. They gathered around a small table, and the atmosphere quickly became intimate and relaxed.

"Alright, is everyone ready?" Kerena asked excitedly, her eyes sparkling with energy.

David smiled slightly, pretending to be at ease. "Of course, just waiting for you to start."

The college girls gathered around, the atmosphere growing more lively. They moved between David and Kerena, laughing occasionally, creating a playful and cheerful vibe. David's gaze occasionally drifted towards Sophia.

"You better watch out, I won't go easy on you," David teased.

Kerena responded with excitement, "I'm not afraid of you! I'm definitely going to win!"

As the game progressed, the atmosphere became more intense, and the interaction between David and Kerena grew more flirtatious. David occasionally leaned in close to Kerena, whispering to her, causing her heart to race and a blush to spread across her cheeks.

Sophia watched from the side, feeling a mix of emotions. Though she was surrounded by handsome men, she couldn't help but feel displeased with David's attitude.

'Tonight, I'm going to outdo you!' she thought to herself.

"I'm heading to the dance floor. Anyone want to join?" Sophia smiled slightly, looking at her friends.

As soon as Sophia spoke, Joseph, Alan, and Ronald all eagerly volunteered to accompany her. Joseph frowned slightly, feeling a bit annoyed. "I'm the best one to accompany her!"

"No, it's me," Alan said confidently, his eyes shining.

Ronald smiled slightly. "How about we play a game? The winner gets to dance with Sophia. How about that?"

"Great idea!" Joseph and Alan said in unison, both determined to win.

So, they quickly gathered around a table and started playing a popular mobile game.

The game required teamwork and strategic thinking. Players had to choose their characters and use their skills and strategies to defeat their opponents. The atmosphere became tense and heated, with everyone giving their all to win.

As the game progressed, the competition grew fiercer. Ronald's performance was unexpectedly outstanding. Every move he made was steady, as if he had anticipated his opponents' every action. He skillfully used his character's abilities, cleverly countering attacks and quickly taking control of the game. Despite Joseph and Alan's efforts, they felt the pressure under Ronald's dominant performance.

"I'll be the winner!" Joseph said, gritting his teeth and focusing intently. However, Ronald's performance left him feeling increasingly frustrated. He kept trying to counterattack, but Ronald always seemed to anticipate his moves, effortlessly neutralizing his attacks. Alan, too, gave it his all, trying to keep up with Ronald, but his efforts seemed insignificant against Ronald's overwhelming advantage.

With his excellent strategy and precise execution, Ronald easily outmaneuvered Joseph and Alan, winning each round. As the game progressed, Joseph and Alan's expressions grew darker, filled with frustration.

In the end, Ronald's outstanding performance secured his victory. He turned to Sophia with a confident smile, his eyes full of anticipation. "Looks like I get to dance with you."

Joseph and Alan sat in the booth, their faces gloomy, filled with jealousy. Joseph pouted slightly, thinking he needed to practice his gaming skills at home.

Alan, dissatisfied, muttered, "I can't believe Ronald is this good. What does he do for a living?"
