Bonus - The Billionaire's friends – Paul and Madison – Eleven
Paul’s POV

I had the best night of sleep of my life. I had built the Great Wall of China out of pillows in between us because I didn’t want Madison to feel uncomfortable sleeping in the same bed together.

“That really isn’t necessary, Paul,” she had giggled. I insisted on making her feel comfortable.

There is an obvious reason the Great Wall isn’t made of pillows. It is not structurally sound. By the morning, all the pillows are missing. Madison and I are tangled up in each other like we are interconnected puzzle pieces. I woke up first and tried to disengage from her to no avail. Her beautiful red hair is fanned out across my chest, and her leg is hooked around mine, as she purrs softly in her sleep. She looks so sweet and innocent as she lies there. How can anyone do what her father did to her? He will never touch her again. I will die before I let that happen.

Madison stirred about twenty minutes later.

“Hey,” I said, smiling.

“Oh my gosh,” Madison said, pulling away from me. “I’m so sorry, Paul.”

“No worries, Madison,” I stated and tucked a hair behind her ear. “Pillows aren’t made for Great Walls.”

Madison giggled.

I felt so relaxed and carefree in her presence.

Unfortunately, the rest of the day wasn’t as relaxing. It turned out to be a huge emotional shit show. Nathan’s cousin Alfred’s helicopter crashed. There were no survivors. Alfred, his wife, and his mother-in-law (Nathan’s Aunt) had all perished. Amelie was a basket case. It dredged up all the memories of her losing her parents when she was eight years old. Madison spent the day with Amelie, comforting her.  After, Amelie and Nathan decided to head back to New York that evening. We changed our dinner reservations to an early time so we could have one more meal together before they left. We are currently in the room getting ready for dinner.

“What color are you wearing, Madison?” I yelled out to her in the bathroom.

“Red and white,” Madison called back. “Why are you asking?” She questioned as she walked out into the room.

Fuck. Sundress. Red Hawaii dress with white flower print.

“You look gorgeous, Madison,” I grinned. She really did. “But one thing is wrong.”

“What?” She asked.

I took the flower that was tucked beneath her right ear and moved it to her left side.

“You’re supposed to look like you’re taken,” I said, smiling.

“There is a difference?” Madison questioned.

“Yes, right side means single, left side means taken,” I explained. “Kind of like a wedding ring.”

“Oh, I never knew,” she said as I finished placing the flower on the left side.

“Thanks,” Madison blushed.

“I wish I had a red shirt to match you,” I declared.

“Let me look at your clothes,” Madison announced and walked towards the closet. She rifled through my shirts and pulled out a crisp white linen short-sleeved shirt. “Wear this. You’ll look so hot wearing white with your tan.”

I pulled my t-shirt off over my head and dropped it on the bed. Madison was staring at me, and she bit her lip.

“Like what you see?” I mused.

“Umm… I just… I mean… yes,” she stuttered.

I put on the linen shirt and buttoned it up.

“We’d better go to dinner before you rip my shirt off me,” I smirked.

“Very funny,” Madison said, rolling her eyes.

We walked out the door into the hallway. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Mr. Duval’s door start to open. I quickly spun Madison around and pushed her against the closed door of my room. I pressed up against her and kissed her hard.

“This is the reason you’re not returning any of my calls,” Mr. Duval snickered.

I drew back from the kiss. “Oh, Daddy, I didn’t see you there,” Madison stated.

“No worries, babydoll,” Mr. Duval replied.

Gross. Who the fuck calls their daughter babydoll? I felt like throwing up in my mouth.

“Are you coming back to the room tonight? I’m having some colleagues over,” Mr. Duval said, smiling.

“No, she’s staying with me tonight, again,” I said firmly. “She’s also flying home with me.”

“Oh, really?” Mr. Duval grinned. “Can I have a short talk with my daughter? Just a couple of words.”

I looked at Madison, and she nodded.

“Hurry up, though, we have dinner reservations,” I advised and walked down to the elevators. I stood there far enough not to hear, but close enough that if Madison needed me, I would be able to come to her rescue. That fucker better not try anything, I thought to myself as I balled up my hands into fists.

Madison’s POV

“Is there something you need, Daddy?” I asked my father, hoping he would say no.

“This guy,” Daddy said with a smirk. “Don’t fuck it up. He’s going to be rich. Dig your claws into him and suck his dick as much as you can to get him to marry you.”

“I like Paul, Daddy. I’m not going to manipulate him,” I said, standing up for myself for once in my life.

“Well, well, well. Has Paul brought out your feisty side?” Daddy said. “Sounds like you need a spanking. Be back in the room at 9:00 pm. My colleagues will take care of you.”

“No,” I yelled. “I’m spending the evening with Paul.”

I saw Paul walking back to us.

“Is everything alright, Madison?” Paul asked.

“Yes, sweetie,” I answered, putting my hand on Paul’s chest and looking into his eyes.

“Ok, then,” he said, bending down and kissing me. “Let’s go to dinner. Have a good night, Mr. Duval.”

“You too, Paul,” Mr. Duval replied. “Madison, make sure Paul has a good, tiring night.” He smirked.

I shiver at his request. I look over at Paul, and the hand he doesn’t have wrapped around me is clenched in a fist.

“Paul, calm down, please,” I whispered to him.

Luckily, we are at the elevators, and the door has opened already. I quickly hit the close door button to make sure Daddy doesn’t ride down in the elevator with us.

“When you yelled ‘No’, I almost charged over there and punched him in the face,” Paul gritted out between his teeth.

“I could tell,” I said, pointing to his balled-up fist.

He releases his grip and stretches his fingers.
