Jojo was only out for an hour before she woke up. When she saw her parents, the first thing she did was try to clear her name.
“Mom, Dad, I did not steal anything, please believe me. I don’t know why Jayden would even say something like that. I thought that he was my friend, but I guess I was wrong.”
Natalie hugged her daughter and patted her on the head softly, “It is okay, baby. We have already uncovered the truth. That boy put those things in your bag on his own.”
“But why did he say that I stole them? He even pushed me.”
“You don’t have to think about anything right now. I will make sure that he never shows his face in front of you, okay?”
“Okay, mommy. Teacher Grace really protected me, and she did not allow anyone to say anything mean to me. Please, don’t let anything happen to her.”
“Of course, baby.”
Sean also spoke to Jojo, “My princess, you don’t have to worry about anything. Mommy and daddy are going to take care of you.”
“Baby, you can rest. I will go and ask the doctor if we can take you home.”
Sean and Natalie left the ward, and the moment they stepped outside, Natalie’s expression changed.
Her hands folded into fists, and her expression turned dangerous, “Who do they think they are? They think that just because they have money and they are well-connected, they can do whatever they want?”
Sean hugged her and gently rubbed her back. His eyes were dangerously cold, and he felt like murdering someone right now. But he had to control himself and calm Natalie down.
“Honey, you need to calm down, okay. The Thompsons are going to pay for everything they have done to our princess. I am going to make sure that they don’t get away with this.”
“That bitch!” Natalie spat angrily, “I feel like I did not slap her enough.”
“If you want, I can get someone to bring her here,” Sean said.
Natalie shook her head, “There is no point. They might use that as an excuse to turn things in their favor.”
“You are right. Your hands are too precious; you don’t have to hurt them by dealing with that slut.”

After calming Natalie down and making sure that she would not do anything stupid, Sean excused himself to make a phone call.
“Colin, I want you to find a way to mess with the Thompsons, just enough to make them panic. Now is not the time to go all out on them.”
Colin swallowed hard. His boss had just come out of hiatus, and people were already messing with him? Looks like some people could not wait to die.
“Boss, uhm, has the Thompson family wronged you?”
Sean gritted his teeth and said, “They dare bully my daughter. I will slowly turn them into nothingness, and by the time they realize what hit them, it will be too late.”
“When you are on it, find me the best lawyers in the field. My daughter’s medical bill is yet to be paid.”
“Yes, boss.”
Jason had just sat in his study room when he received a call from his assistant. It was what left him almost paralyzed.
“Boss, it is bad. We have just lost goods worth ten billion dollars.”
“What happened?”
“Well, we dispatched the goods as per your instructions, but just now, people from the warehouse have called saying that our trucks are no longer on the radar.”
“How is that even possible? Is someone intentionally messing with me?”
When Jason said that, a face suddenly appeared in his mind, but he quickly dismissed it.
No way that person was so powerful.
“Liam, I don’t really care what you do, but you have to find those trucks and recover those goods. If we fail to deliver them, then we will be in a lot of trouble.”
“Boss, I don’t really know what to do. The drivers of the trucks seem to vanished into thin air, and even their phones are untraceable.”
“Fuck it!” Jason rubbed his head.
He had been running this city for as long as he could remember. Who would dare mess with him now?
Could it really be Natalie?
But that was not even possible. How could Natalie be so powerful that she could pull off something like that?
How could she even know about the shipment?
Those were just his old enemies making a move.
Jason was still thinking when Liam spoke up, “Boss, what happens if we can’t recover the goods? We have already taken money from clients, and we used all of it to purchase the goods.”
“Liam, stop asking questions!” Jason shouted at the top of his lungs.
“Yes, boss.”
Before he could even recover from the shock of his products being ‘stolen’, the court officials arrived at his house with the court summons.
“Mr. Thompson, Mrs. Natalie Hart is pressing charges against you for assaulting and slandering her daughter at Maple Academy. Please, sign here so that we can proceed.”
Jason stared on in shock.
He mumbled as he signed the papers, “Natalie, was this really necessary?”

Jojo was not severely injured, so they returned home after spending a few hours at the hospital.
Natalie had been through much for the past few days that she was on the verge of collapsing.
“Argh, I just want to immerse myself in a hot bath.” She grumbled as she threw her coat and handbag on the chair. Sean cleaned after her without complaining.
Jojo was still feeling drowsy from the medication and all the emotional turmoil, so she slept the moment Sean placed her to bed.
He went ahead and prepared Natalie’s bath water, but when he went to call her, she had already dozed off.
Sean carefully carried her to the bedroom, but just as he was about to put her to bed, Natalie woke up.
She rubbed her groggy eyes as she said, “I want to freshen up. I can’t sleep like this.”
“Are you sure?” Sean asked.
Natalie smiled, “You know I cannot sleep like this.”
“Okay. I had already prepared a bubble bath for you. I thought it would just go to waste.”
“How can I let all your efforts go to waste?”
Sean helped Natalie undress. Although she was still shy around him, she was too tired to care.
Sean was about to leave, but Natalie stopped him. She just felt the urge to be close to the man tonight, and she followed her heart, “Babe, why don’t you join me?”
Sean’s heart trembled when he heard that. He turned around and asked, “Are you sure?”
