Natalie felt like laughing, but she could not bring herself to. She looked at Vivian and asked, “Mrs. Thompson, right?”
Vivian nodded.
“What are you trying to insinuate? Before my daughter fainted, she told me that she did not do it, and I believe her. So, what makes you think that I will let her apologize to your son, huh?”
“But it is clear as day. I found my son’s drawing book and paints in your daughter’s bag. How are you going to explain that?”
Sean’s cold voice rang out, “Simple, bring the CCTV footage and play it in front of everyone.”
“But the cameras…” The principal tried to say something, but Sean stopped him.
“Principal Carl, are you sure that the cameras are really damaged?”
“Of course, I am the school principal, so how could I not know?”
“Alright!” Sean nodded. He took out his phone and dialed a number. He only said two words before he ended the call, “Come in.”
Vivian looked at him and sneered, ‘It doesn’t matter who you call today. I am going to make sure that you are utterly humiliated, and you two will leave the school with tails between your legs.’
The principal also had the same thoughts. He thought that since he was the school principal, no one would ever be able to touch him.
But when he saw the person who walked through the door, his face paled in shock.
What the hell was the school director doing here?
Could… could he be the person Sean had spoken to?
But that was not possible. How could a nobody like him know the Maple Academy director?
It just did not make any sense.
Vivian did not know the school director; she did not react in any way when he entered, but those who knew him were stunned.
They looked at Vivian with wide eyes. They thought that she was the one who had called the director.
“Whoa, the Thompson family is indeed something else. They actually managed to call the Maple Academy director, and he actually came?”
“I heard that this man rarely shows himself in public, and he only comes to school when it is necessary. I have been a parent here for so many years, but I have only seen him a few times during important events. Who would have thought that he would show up today over something so small?”
The parents looked at Natalie and Sean with pitiful eyes, “Those two are done for. They should have just apologized, and maybe things would have gone well for them. But now, I don’t think that any school will ever be able to accept their child again.”
“Mrs. Thompson was so nice, and she was even willing to forgive, but now their egos have led to their downfall.”
“They honestly have themselves just to blame. Their child is a thief, and now, it looks like their lives are about to be ruined.”
When the principal heard all the discussion going around, he heaved a sigh of relief. If the director was here because of the Thompson family, then he had nothing to worry about.
She smiled and went to greet the director, but the man walked past him like he was invisible.
Vivian had already worn her most professional smile, and she was ready to greet the director, but the man did not even spare her a glance.
He walked right past her and stood in front of Sean. And to everyone’s shock, the school director actually bowed to Sean and Natalie.
Everyone’s eyes widened in shock, and Vivian’s face turned pale.
She summoned the school principal and questioned in a low voice, “What is going on here? Weren’t you the one who called the school director here?”
She had only learned that the man was the school director after hearing the other parents talk about him. She had never met him before.
The principal shook his head, “I thought that it was your family who summoned him so that he could stand up for you.”
“I… I did not call him here.” Vivian said through gritted teeth.
She was also certain that it was not Jason, because he had no idea what was going on in school. This had been a secret between her and Jayden.
The one thing she was trying to avoid was Jason and Natalie bumping each other, so she wouldn’t dare call him.
The principal thought of something, and his lips trembled. His legs became weak, and he almost fell to the ground.
The principal bowed to Sean and sincerely apologized, “I am so sorry, Mr. Cole, that I couldn’t get here on time. I hope I am not too late.”
Sean smiled, but his smile did not reach his eyes. He looked at the principal, who wanted nothing but to disappear, and then at Vivian. His gaze finally returned to the director’s face before he spoke, “No, director Frank, you are right on time.”
Director Frank not delay. With the help of his assistant, the classroom footage was played in front of everyone, and after seeing what really happened, everyone was flabbergasted.
“What is going on?” Jason shouted at the door.
He entered in time just to see his son shamelessly frame someone and even cause harm to a fellow student.
“Jayden, what happened? Why would you do that to your friend?”
Having been exposed, Jayden could only cry. He was just a child, and so he could not defend himself against so many people.
He looked at his mother, and just as he was about to blurt out the truth, Vivian covered his mouth and laughed awkwardly.
“Haha, kids love to play around a lot. This was just a huge misunderstanding. I guess my son was just being careless.”
Having cleared her daughter’s name, Natalie only wanted to take her to the hospital. Her pulse was still strong, and that meant she was not badly injured if she had been able to stall.
She walked past Jason and spoke in a cold voice, “Mr. Thompson, we are not done here. Just because you are rich doesn’t mean that you can treat other people like trash. You will be hearing from my lawyers.”
She then looked at Sean and said, “Let us go, honey. Our daughter needs to be treated ASAP.”
