Chapter 104

Thorn face-palmed and went to get his daughter. "Sorry about that." Thorn picked up his daughter and carried her. "I don't even know why she likes money so much."

SM laughed softly. "Maybe because you were leaving him with Themarie and Shun when he was a baby?"

Thorn laughed too. They used to leave Thassia in Kim's household while they worked.SM was still looking for a reliable nanny for them at that time, and they had no choice but to leave their child with Themarie and Shun, who offered to look after Thassia while they were at work.

And when Thassia came to her senses, she was always there for Shun because Jacques was always there to spoil the child. That's why Thassia loves it because Jacques gives her everything, whether it's food, toys, or money.

"I don't think it's because of Shun; this is because of Jacques," Thorn commented, then shook his head. "Jacques is over the top most of the time. To all the kids, he's like the village's Santa Clause."

SM chuckled. "Well, that's Jacq when it comes to kids, and because of that, Cloud has to work hard a lot."

Thorn shook his head. "To have an extravagant partner like Jacques, I pity Cloud sometimes."

"Don't," said SM, "Cloud lives for it. He likes spoiling Jacq. Even if he complains when he complains, that's not what Jacq wants, and spoiling kids is Jacq's happiness, so just let him."

"I know." Thorn sighed. "That's why I'm just letting him give Thassia something."

Thassia grinned. "I want money, Didi."

"Except for that, baby," Thorn immediately scolded his son.

Thassia pouted. "But, Didi, money is important."

"Not for your age," Thorn reasoned.

Thassia pouted even more. "But Didi Jacq said, whether you're young or old, you need money. Money is important, and that's why I'm asking my godfather and godmother for money."

Thorn ruffled her son's hair. "You already swindled—I mean, you saved too much money for your age; it's enough."

Thassia shook her head and clenched her small hand into a fist. "No, Didi. You're wrong. I need more money!"

Thorn just sighed at his son when he tried to get him down, then ran back to Mint and Jacques in the playground inside the café. Then Cassiuz followed him to the playground, wanting to play with Thassia.

Thorn just shook his head and returned to the table he was occupying earlier, then took out his cellphone from his pocket. He was about to send a message to his wife when someone sat on the chair in front of him.

It was Reigo with his son. And he looked like he was sulking.

"Baby sitting day?" Thorn asked.

Reigo groaned before nodding. "You?"

"Same." Thorn chuckled, seeing Reigo grumpy. "What's with the annoyed face?"

Reigo sighed heavily. "You have no idea what I have been through because of my son this morning. It was hell! That's why I looked for you because I couldn't take it anymore."

Thorn's mixture immediately joined the hearing. "Stop pairing your son with my daughter."

Reigo looked down. "Sorry, bud. That is the only way I know to calm my son down. When he's with your son, my son suddenly becomes an angel."

Thorn looked at the children playing in the playground; his face was still bad. His eyes widened when he saw Reigo's son next to his son. It's like an angel who is very kind and obedient to everything Thassia says. Reigo's son was beaming while playing with his daughter.

Thorn sighed before looking at Reigo. "I'm going to murder you if your son does something to my princess."

Reigo looked at the two kids on the playground. "It's more like your daughter will do something to my son. Can't you see how he's being treated as a slave by your daughter?"

Thorn smirked. "It's not my fault you have a soft son."

"Fuck you. You know, in our house, that boy is a menace. I've given up on scolding him." Reigo sighed again. "How did I have such a child, my kind-hearted one?"

"Said the guy who schedules his attitude based on his mood," said Thorn.

Reigo limped, slumped his shoulders, and went to the counter to order. When he returned to the table, his shoulder was still slumped.

"Is your son so stubborn that it's like heaven and earth are entwined with you?" Thorn asked uncontrollably. because he doesn't see the stubbornness of Reigo's son because every time he sees him, he is kind.

Reigo let out a breath. "You have no idea. I give up."

Thorn looked at Reigo pitifully. "You are pitiful."

"Yeah, I'm at my wits' end already."

"So pitiful," Thorn murmured, but the truth was, so was he. Her daughter was also a little devil, but not all the time, so she was only half-pitiful.

Reigo groaned. "How did I end up being a babysitter?"

"Are you an idiot?" It was Knight's voice that shocked them. They didn't even feel its presence. "Probably because you got your wife pregnant. You think having a family is all sunshine and rainbows?"

Reigo groaned again. "I'm tired."

Knight tsked. "You only have one child; are you tired?"

Reigo nodded. "I don't want to follow anymore. It's scary."

Knight tapped Reigo's shoulder. "You'll be fine. Look at me; I'm amazing."

Reigo looked at Knight while his face was still contorted in annoyance. "That's because you're a lunatic. You think more young than your children—"

"And that's the secret." Knight grinned. "They're kids, so if you can't beat them, join them."

Thorn and Reigo both looked at Knight flatly.

"Only you would say that," said Thorn.

Knight shrugged. "As long as it works." Then Knight faced the playground inside the café before spreading his arms with a wide smile on his lips. "My little princess! Daddy is home!"

"Daddy!" Mint screamed shrilly, then excitedly ran towards Knight, who jumped and immediately caught and carried the child. "I miss you, Daddy! You've been gone for days!"

Knight smiled at Mint. "Well, Daddy has to work, and you have Papa Jacq with you, so it's okay, right?"
