Chapter 57
She was her best friend for years, but why was she giving her advice like this? Alpha Killian had a doubt that Luna had cheated on her. She felt betrayed and broken.
"I don't know why but I felt betrayed. I know she is hiding something from me,"he said emotionally.
Riana tried to comfort Alpha as best she could, wrapping her arms around her and pulling her close.
"Alpha, I'm so sorry,' she said softly.
"No.I think I deserve this because I cheated on you,"she insisted.
"'Everything will be alright. I promise you that. Even if it doesn't seem like it now, one day it will.' She paused, taking a deep breath as she looked into Alpha's tear-filled eyes.
"And I believe that God will let you know the truth if someone is cheating on you,"she continued.
"That's why it's important to always trust your gut. If something feels wrong, it's probably wrong. You don't have to take someone else's word for it. You know in your heart what's right for you."she advised.
Alpha looked up at his former Luna, starting to feel better. She had been friends with Riana for years and she had never been wrong.
Alpha nodded and hugged her close, taking comfort in her words. Even though her heart was still hurting, she knew Riana was right and that she would be ok in the end.
"I'll be okay, Riana. I deserve this," she added.
He was confident in his decision now, but one question remained: how could he get an evidentiary proof that he had made the right choice? Alpha thought long and hard about this but he could not come up with an answer.
"But how can I get proof?" she asked.
That was when Alpha remembered something his former Luna had said to him. She had told him that if he followed his instincts, the evidence he sought would come to him. Alpha was not sure how this would happen, but he decided to take her advice.
"Actually I saw them too.But we need proof to prove it," he answered.
It was then that Alpha realized that the evidence he sought was already within him. He had made the right decision and the proof of its correctness was within his heart.
"Maybe I will find a way," he thought.
Alpha smiled to himself and thanked his former Luna once again. He knew that he had been blessed with her wise counsel and he was grateful for the karma she had helped him to create.
"Let Karma hit you, Zillah. I will find the truth!"
Riana had been looking forward to meeting Alpha Killian for weeks. She had so many questions she wanted to ask him and the curiosity was killing her.
"Do you really love Zillah? Are you ready to find out the truth?" She asked him.
"If the truth will set you free,"he smiled.
But when the day finally came, she couldn't bring herself to be happy. She was filled with dread and fear. She had heard stories about Alpha Killian and the way he liked to control people. She was sure that if he found out how much she wanted to know about him, he would use it against her.
"I need to find out the truth,Riana." The only thing she remembers he said.
"Find out the truth? You will see it like what you did to me before."Riana replied.
She was so scared that she could barely keep her composure when Alpha Killian finally arrived. He smiled at her but she couldn't bring herself to return the gesture. She just stared at him, her fear taking root in every part of her body.
"Are you okay?"Alpha Killian asked her.
"Nothing.I'm not used to it,"he answered.
Alpha Killian didn't seem to notice her fear, though. He asked her questions, and she answered them, but she kept her answers short and to the point. She didn't want to give anything away.
"I need your help,"Alpha Killian said seriously.
"I Will help you to catch her, Alpha."he added.
"No. I need your help to get me over you," he said seriously.
Her heart suddenly beats faster and everything becomes slow.
It was just a dream.
She woke up from a wonderful dream or is it a bad dream?
Riana awoke in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. She had been having nightmares again. She felt her heart pounding and her breathing was fast and shallow. She knew she needed to calm herself down, so she got out of bed and headed to the kitchen for a glass of water.
"Alpha Killian, even in my dream?" She questioned herself.
As she walked down the hallway, she noticed a strange light coming from the living room. She cautiously entered and saw a figure in the corner. It was her grandmother, the one who had passed away years ago. She was wearing her favorite green dress and her white hair was pulled up in a bun.
Riana was shocked to see her grandmother alive and well, but she quickly realized that this wasn't really her grandmother.
"Riana, follow your heart. Someone is betraying you," he said.
It was just a wind. She felt a wave of calm wash over her as she realized that she was safe and that this was all a dream.
"Who?"she asked, confusedly.
"You will know one day,"her grandmother smiled at her.
"Grandma,please who?"she convinced her.
"You will know one day,"her grandmother said it again.
She took a deep breath and slowly backed away from the figure. As she walked away, the figure slowly faded away, leaving nothing behind but a feeling of peace.
Riana returned to the kitchen and filled her glass with water. She took a few sips and felt the tension in her body begin to melt away. She smiled to herself, thankful that she had gotten up to get some water to calm herself down.
