ELARA'S POV

I always had the chance to think of leaving but I didn't. Today,It came like a thought as always. I tried to battle with it but this time it had a different plan.

I felt restless whenever the thought came into my mind.

"What is going on?" I shook my head severally to get myself out of the thought.

That wasn't working either.

"Well, I do not choose to give in to it.." I had to make the decision to leave the house.

I took a walk out of my room down to the sitting room. It wasn't enough for me so I walked outside.

"Not safe out here." I thought aloud.

Of course people are being so nosy, they want to see and know what they aren't supposed to see. Some would go miles to know these things. It amazes me how they think about my matter more than theirs.

"What am I supposed to be doing here?" I looked around with the cup in my hands.

What am I supposed to be doing here exactly?

I got back into the house, I got dressed and drove away from my home. I didn't inform anyone, not even my maid, she knew nothing about my whereabouts.

While driving on the road, I searched around while driving.
The thought was actually good, I need to get myself a private place to be and think about the things that I have to do to Liam.

"This place should be.....no, it's too Open." I drove past them and went further.

I need to be so far from home that I won't be easily tracked if anyone was to think about where I would leave.

"I do not know of any other places apart from the places I've seen." I already felt tired and needed to get some rest.

I got into an eatery to get some food and continue the search for a house..
"What do you need ma'am?" The waiter came to me with a book in her hand.

"Something. " I paused and rubbed my eyes.

"Sorry, what?" She muttered in confusion.

"I just need something to eat, I'm exhausted and I need something to drink so I can forget I'm alive." Our eyes met, she had too much to say but can't say it because she's afraid.
"Oh, okay.. I will get that now."

I gave her an awkward smile and continued while she walked away.

Within some minutes she walked in with a tray of food and radler to get myself high up.

"Thank you so much, the bills?" I looked up.

I had to be certain about that before I ate.
"Here.." She handed it over to me.

I paid half with cash and paid the rest with my card.

"I'm getting low on funds, I should get out of this expensive town quickly." I whispered to myself as I opened the meal to enjoy it.

This will probably be my last meal here.

I put the chips and burger into my mouth and I can say it's awesome. Better than the ones I eat at home.

While enjoying my meal I thought of where I would find a house. I do not know of a more hidden hut around here.

"Why is someone on my spot?" I heard a random woman bash the waiter, her fingers were pointed at me.

I looked around to be sure someone didn't keep something here, I don't see any evidence of someone being around here.

"You better be sorry because I need that place now." The woman was in a red silk dress.

Yeah, all wicked women love red. Probably her lipstick should be red, red witch.

The waiter walked up to me, I know how he thought so hard on how he was going to break the news.

"If she is bold enough, let her come herself." I muttered with the anger boiling inside of me.

I may have chosen to stay hidden and calm but I will accept disrespect to other people.

She must have heard this from where she stood. I didn't lift my eyes up or say a thing, I kept being busy with my food.

"Oh, you think I am not bold enough?" She walked up to me and stood in front of me.

Slowly I lifted my face to see her, the anger in my eyes slowly turned to surprise.
Her eyes widened when she took off her glasses to see clearer.

"Elara!!"

"Joel!!"

We called out at the Same time.

The drama we were about to cause that made everyone looking suddenly turned boring and everyone looked away.

"Oh my goodness, where have you been since high school?" She sat opposite me.

"Oh... don't worry about my spot, just get me something to drink." She said to the waiter who had a series of confused looks.

"Wow, I didn't expect to see you here." She laughed sheepishly.

I mean her teeth didn't close unless she wanted to have a sip of her drink.

"So Joel, how have you been?" I took the last bite of my burger and sat upright.

"Oh please, it's past high school. You shouldn't be calling me Joel anymore, I am no more with him."
She scoffed.

"What happened?" I got interested to hear that I am not the only one that is being messed with.

"Long story." She smiled away the topic.

Shanty is my highschool mate, a cheerleader that wasn't so loved by me. She was obsessed with her highschool boyfriend "Joel." And that is how she got the name.

She would literally follow him to the janitor just so he doesn't stare at other girls for long.

Physco bitch.

"So where are you heading to?"

"Want to relocate, looking for a small place. More interior and hidden." I smiled.

"Ohh, I do have a place for you that is like that."Her mood was elevated.

"Really?"

"Yeah, get up, let me take you there." She packs her gadgets.

"I hope I don't have to stay anywhere close to her." I muttered under my breath.
