DOMINIC'S POV
One of the triplet in my custody had so much about Elara in common.
"Nah, I can't think of that. Elara is fucking strict, my nightmare. I can't think of her having a child and how she would treat them." I drank myself out of the thought.
I stayed home all day, nursing the drink that I had in store. I can't name how many I had drunk and the stupid effect it had on me.
"Father..." One of the triplets called for my attention.
Though my eyes were drowning in dizziness, I still had to give them attention.
"Yes, daughter." That sounded so awkward to me.
Hearing someone call me father was the most weird thing I ever expected in my life.
I mean I have little or no chances of making babies, so I fixed my mind in a state that I had to focus on making myself famous.
"Do you have any problems?" I searched within myself to make sure I brought out the nicest part of me.
"No.. not really. I just want to thank you for saving one of us ." One of them said to me,
"I wish so much to know your names even when my Brian forgets things." I smiled genuinely.
"I'm Hayley." The second boy rushed out to introduce himself.
"You?" I pointed at the one that was speaking for them.
"I'm Kaylie." His voice sounded so calm and masculine when he spoke.
He had this dark brown hair and piercing blue eyes just like me. I do not want to think much about it, that must be a coincidence.
"I'm Bailey." She sounded so calm.
Sounding like Elara but the calmer and sweeter version of her. Elara would be roasting the hell out of me if she was the one speaking.
"You sound nice.. " finally I let out a good compliment.
What am I supposed to say now? I'm not good with kids, and I don't think I'll ever be.
"Might sound weird, but do you know your mother?" My ears were attentively up to hear what they had to say.
"Mother? What does that mean?" Hayley had a confused look on his face
"Shut up Hayley." Bailey cuts in sharply.
Hayley must be the jokester among them. I assume he's mad at his mom, whoever she is, for leaving them that way.
"We probably won't know our mom when we see her because it's been years now. All thanks to you for taking us." Kaylie, who looked more mature and serious, explained.
"Oh, I see. It's fine, they say there is a reason for everything and I think that's why I came for the charity work." My thoughts hovered around Elara, the look on her eyes and how she had changed within the years.
"That's fine guys. You had something to eat, right?" I asked them
"Yes, the maid gave us enough to eat."
"Not enough." Hayley jumped in.
"Can you just be quiet for once?" Kaylie wasn't having it this time.
"No, that's fine I understand how he feels. Hayley? If you aren't satisfied enough, then you can get More food for yourself." I fondled his hair.
"Appreciated." He smiled.
His siblings were already tired of him.
"That's by the way, I think I should always join the boys in playing basketball." Kaylie suggested for himself
"No, I'd rather be at home with the girls." Bailey cuts in.
She looked so small but of big age.
"That is boring." Her brother countered her.
"Not for me though." Her eyes didn't leave Kaylie, she must be waiting to get a reaction from him.
"You have such a boring life.." He rolled his eyes in disgust.
"You should try having one in your life, it will help with your stupidity."
She cursed.
"What?" Kaylie released his hands and was about to land it on Bailey.
"Hey, that's enough. You don't have to use abusive words on your brother and you do not have to bear your sister up." I held his hands and took him away from her.
While this was going on. Hayley walked in with a plate of food on his hands and a spoonful of food in his mouth.
"What is going on??" He asked while chewing another food.
"Just shut up.." Kaylie pushed him lightly on the shoulder.
"You do not have to be rude either." I warned them.
I brought them together and tried to have a word with them.
"You all are siblings and you all have different perspectives and different likes." I paused.
"You all have to endure each other if you want to be together. You like basketball, you don't and blah blah but you don't have to fight each other." I held their hands to each other.
They had this look on their faces. I can't really tell but they don't wish to be at peace with each other.
"Whatever, she should just stop calling me names." Kaylie warned her.
"I know, she will stop. Fine, I've come to the conclusion that you can do whatever you wish to do. You don't have to fight each other, and remember not to do things that would get you in trouble." I cupped her cheeks and smiled at her.
She had a striking resemblance with Elara. I really can't tell if It was an illusion or if it was reality.
"You are beautiful, don't forget that." I smiled at her
I left them, they still had this misunderstanding among them.
"What's the problem now?" I asked Clara, my assistant.
"He came with some files and made the necessary signatures. They need some time to finish with the...." My assistant tried to explain to me.
"Just... just make sure that everything is going right and there is no issue. If any, then make sure to calm me for it." I instructed her.
I was fed up with the explanation she had, I have other things to face.
The triplet was right on my neck and I have to solve that.
The little time I spent with them, I developed a fatherly feeling.
"That's weird."
