No Hidden Secrets With Alpha Damian
When the door slammed shut a second time, the entire study trembled, and Theo froze in his chair. He stared blankly at the large parchment in his hands — the scroll that held the updated security routes for Dam-Nighade Pack — but the words blurred into nothing.
He dropped it onto the table with a soft thud and sank back into his chair.
Silence filled the room.
And for the first time in a long time… Theo felt old.
What have I done?
His fingers pressed over his eyes as a long, shaky breath escaped him.
He had scolded Matt.
Yet the real blame rested on him — the father who had surrendered discipline to keep peace with his luna who suddenly turned into something else. The Alpha who had pretended his son was thriving, sending glowing reports to Damian and the pack’s elders about Lambert’s “talent and strength.”
All lies.... Lambert was weak, spoiled, undisciplined and corrupted.
The cracks had shown early. He had seen them. He had felt them.
But he let Mina brush them aside, pampering Lambert until the boy became something Theo could barely recognize.
“If only… if only I had done things differently.” His voice cracked.
His hands trembled, and tears slowly rolled down his cheeks.
“What kind of Alpha… what kind of father have I been?”
He thought of Damian — the one man whose respect he valued.
Damian, who believed Lambert had promise, and who would be horrified to discover the truth.
And then a darker fear crept in:
What if Damian replaces me? What if he removes Dam-Nighade Pack from his protection?
His heart thudded painfully. If only Rina’s child were still alive… He closed his eyes.
That child — his firstborn — should have been the heir, not Lambert.
That child would have been strong. Disciplined. Worthy.
But fate had taken the child away. Or… so he believed.
Theo swallowed hard, his thoughts spiraling. Maybe… when he attended the Shadowfang competition between Damian’s children… Maybe he should come clean about Lambert’s failings.
But what if Damian reacted with anger?
What if Damian stripped him of his title immediately?
“No… I can’t risk it. Not yet.” Theo wiped his tears with a trembling hand. “Not until I fix this mess.”
But deep down, he feared it was already too late.
Meanwhile… Mina stormed into her chamber with Lambert trailing behind like a pouting child.
Almost instantly, her fury melted into a sugary sweetness as she cupped Lambert’s cheeks.
“Oh my poor baby… how dare your father embarrass you like that?” she crooned, pulling him into her arms.
Lambert sniffed angrily.
“He grounded me because of that stupid Beta!”
Mina stroked his hair soothingly — motherly, yet twisted.
“Do not worry, my son. Matt will pay. That maid will pay. Everyone who dares to take away your rights as an Alpha will pay.”
A cold smile stretched her lips. “First… the maid.” She snapped her fingers.
“Bring the girl here,” she ordered Sabina.
Minutes later, the terrified maid — still trembling from earlier — was dragged into the room.
Mina stood tall, eyes blazing with contempt.
“You filthy little snake,” she hissed. “How dare you seduce my son? How dare you tempt an Alpha? Do you think someone like you deserves to touch him?”
The maid fell to her knees, shaking violently.
“N-No, Luna. I swear I didn’t— I would never—” Her trembling explanation only enraged Mina further.
“Silence!” she shouted.
Tears spilled down the maid’s cheeks.
“Please… Luna… I didn’t seduce him. He—he forced—”
SLAP!
Mina struck her so hard her lip split.
“You dare to accuse my son? You dare to insult him? Sabina — strip her. And flog her until she learns her place.”
Sabina smirked and then obeyed immediately.
Lambert watched with twisted satisfaction as the maid was held upright, stripped, and beaten with a leather whip until her cries turned hoarse and her back became a canvas of bleeding welts.
“That’s enough,” Mina finally said, flicking her hand with disgust. “Now get out. Pack your things and leave this pack by nightfall. If you’re still within our borders at sunset… you will not survive the consequences.”
The maid, shaking from pain and humiliation, rushed out of the room, barely able to walk.
Lambert smirked. “That’s what she gets.”

The Maid’s Escape
Her body screaming in pain, the maid stumbled into the omega quarters, grabbed her tiny bundle of belongings, and hurried toward the gate with blurred vision.
As she approached the Alpha estate gate, she wiped her tears with trembling fingers — only to freeze when Matt appeared from behind a column.
He had waited for her.
She gasped and instantly bowed, terrified, expecting more punishment.
Matt stepped closer.
His expression was calm… but his eyes were burning with quiet rage — not at her, but at what had been done to her.
He pressed two separate folded papers into her palm.
“Go,” he said softly. “Now. Do not look back.”
The maid blinked in confusion but obeyed immediately.
As the gates closed behind her, she opened one of the slightly folded paper. Her eyes widened.
It was a message — short, urgent, and directing her to a Shadowfang pack far outside Mina’s reach. The letter warned her not to open the other sealed paper, rather, she is to submit it to Beta Lucian who will guide hwr on what to do next.
And it carried Matt’s personal seal of protection.
Still trembling, she turned and began running toward the indicated path.
Behind the walls, Matt watched her disappear into the distance, then quietly signaled two warriors hidden in the shadows.
“Follow her,” he ordered. “Protect her until she reaches hwr destination. Do not let your presence be known.”
They bowed and vanished into the forest.
