Chapter 62 The Consequence Of Being Snubbed

Olivia drove, looking back from time to time. Carl looked fine, but Carl's mother was probably overly shocked and looked a bit dazed at the moment, not yet reacting.

"I want some water." Carl's mother said towards Carl.

Carl nodded, and then was about to say something when Olivia stopped the car over to the side of the road.

It was now June, and after they got out of the car, feeling in a steamer, their faces hot.

The vehicles were coming and going on the street, almost no one there. Even if there were people walking by, they were also with umbrellas. It was so hot, even with an umbrella, people felt very hot and stuffy.

Carl assisted his mother into a cold drink shop not far away, which was air-conditioned and they felt much more comfortable.

Olivia parked the car on the side of the road and also walked in, sitting across from Carl and Carl’s mother, smiling at them.

Carl held his pee and couldn't take it long ago, asked the staff a few questions and then headed towards the toilet.

"Thank you for saving us." Carl's mother said gratefully.

"Auntie, you're welcome. It's my duty." Olivia smiled and asked for a cold drink towards the staff, "It's not safe for you to go back now, so come stay at my house for a while. I'll send you back once things have calmed down. Do you think that's okay?"

Carl's mother was stunned, "That's not good! I have troubled you just now. We’re sorry for bothering you again."

"It's no trouble. I'm even happy that you can go to my house."

Olivia laughed out.

When the break was almost over, they got back into the car. It was only when the car drove up to the entrance of the residential area that Carl felt that something was wrong and was about to ask Olivia. But Carl's mother had fainted, which scared Carl, "Please take us to the emergency center."

Olivia couldn't help but laugh out loud, "It's fine, your mother just fell asleep. She rests a bit and will be fine."

Carl looked at the house in front, and stiffened, "Please send us back."

Olivia looked very serious, "The place where you live is not safe. If your mother stays there, something bad will happen sooner or later. You have to think about this matter. Those people were able to find you last time and they will be able to find you next time. You can escape, but what about your mother? We can't let her go back and risk with you."

"All right! But don't worry, I'll pay the rent, and we'll leave here after this matter has settled down."

Just walking into the courtyard, she bumped into Sarah, she saw that Carl was back and coldly snorted. She took a book and walked towards the back of the courtyard.

Carl felt sorry, but now only this place was the safest. Carl had no choice but to shamelessly stay here.

After helping his mother to her room, Carl was just about to go downstairs when he bumped into Sarah. Carl bypassed Sarah and walked towards the other side, resulting in Sarah running over and blocking in front of Carl.

"What do you want?" Carl said with a livid face.

"What do you think I want?"

Sarah stared at Carl disdainfully, "Carl, you're really shameless. Last time you left on your own after being scolded by me, I thought you were a man of character. But now it seems that I thought too much. You're just a shameless son of a bitch, since you brought your mother here as well."

Saying that, Sarah continued to coldly snort, "I've seen many shameless people, but I've never seen you so shameless."

Carl didn't say anything and pushed Sarah away, then walked towards the downstairs.

Sarah followed, "I'm not sure what you did to bewitch my sister, but I'm warning you, you better not fall in love with her, or else I'll be rude to you."

"Also, all the servants in the house have been driven away. Our family does not raise idle people. You and your mother can live here, but from now on, you will be our servants, cooking and washing, cleaning the house. If there is one thing that makes me uncomfortable, I can always let you get lost."

Carl ignored Sarah. As soon as his mother was almost well enough, he would take her out of here.

As soon as Carl left, Olivia walked out of the room and looked at Sarah, "What's going on?"

The anger on Sarah's face immediately disappeared. She smiled, "Olivia, don't worry. I'm just asking him where he's been for the past few days. I won't chase away Carl. I was wrong last time, and I've already apologized to Carl."

Olivia nodded and didn't say anything.

Carl looked at his watch, and it was now almost time to go to work. He walked to the shuttle bus platform, looking at the passing cars, and felt very uncomfortable.

Thinking of what Sarah had just said, he felt uncomfortable, but for his mother's safety, he could only stay here for a while.

Not far away from the sedan.

Barr viciously extinguished his cigar with his hand, looking angry. After Carl and the others escaped, things became even more troublesome. Especially since he had just seen Carl and Carl's mother follow Olivia into the villa.

"Barr, why don't we capture them?" A bald man next to him suggested.

"Pah!"

Barr slapped the attendant on his face. The attendant felt a huge pain on his face, but didn't dare to be angry and looked at Barr with a confused face.

Barr played with the wrench in his hand, "Once we go in and catch Carl, this matter will be completely exposed, and the consequences will be even worse then. Besides, Olivia is not that easy to deal with."

"What I'm worried about is that Carl has already handed something over to Olivia."

Saying that, Barr became increasingly scared.

Now he was beginning to regret abducting Carl's mother, because he had lured out Olivia as well, and the trouble was still to come.

Barr got down from the car and walked over towards Carl at the shuttle platform.

Carl was lighting a cigarette. Halfway down the cigarette, the shuttle bus was coming. But he turned around and found Barr. He did not expect the Barr would be here.

There was no time to think, and Carl ran towards the sidewalk behind the shuttle bus station.

"Carl, stop." He had already found that the entertainment place where Carl worked was run by Olivia, and now even if he had the guts, he wouldn't dare to go there to find Carl. If he bumped into Olivia, then things would be even more troublesome.

After Carl ran away from Barr, he saw that Barr didn't catch up and shouted, "Barr, you better not provoke me, or else I'll hand over the things, and then I'll see how you'll die."

Barr breathed a sigh of relief when he heard this. It seemed that things could turn for the better now that Carl hadn't handed over the things to Olivia.

"Don't worry. I'm not looking for trouble. I just want to talk to you." Barr said.

"You think I'm a fool. If I don't run away, you definitely won't let me go."

"Carl, I have always been reputable in my work. Don't you want to settle this matter? I don't have anyone with me right now. Even if I cheated you, you can escape."

Carl took a glance towards Barr's back, and saw that indeed Barr was alone. He was thinking this matter should indeed be settled. He couldn't run away forever! Every day, he couldn't even sleep in peace, and always worried that Barr, the son of a bitch would come to his door.

Carl really couldn't stand it. It would be best if this matter could be put to an end.

Carl looked around vigilantly as he walked towards Barr.

"What do you want?" Carl stared at Barr.

Barr stiffened, looking angry, "I should be asking you this. Tell me, did you give the things to Miss Moore?"

Seeing Barr's strange expression, Carl pondered that Barr was afraid that he had handed something over to Olivia, and that he was still not sure about this and wanted to ask for clarification.

If I told Barr that I handed over the things to Olivia, Barr might hurt him in a hurry. So Carl smiled, "No, Olivia is still not clear about this matter. Barr, you are a hall master. You have prominence and respect in the Kayfia Group. Are you still afraid of Olivia, a weak woman? If it is spread out, aren’t you afraid of being laughed off?"

In fact, Carl had already told Olivia about this before and had given her the stuff, but she didn't seem to care about it and didn't pick up the stuff.

This matter had been bothering Carl.
