Chapter 61 Who Dared To Hurt Him?
"Why are you here? Were you also hijacked by Barr?" Carl said with a puzzled face.
When his eyes fell on the man behind Olivia, he stiffened. Wasn't this man one of Barr's henchman? It looked like he was very respectful to Olivia.
"Are you and Barr in cahoots?" Carl said.
When Olivia heard such words, she couldn't help but laugh out loud. She looked at Carl, and then looked at Carl's mother, "He's my person. Haven't you heard that money makes the mare go? He received my money. Of course, he has to work for me."
Hearing Olivia saied this, he was clear.
Carl didn't have time to think about it. He helped his mother up and followed Olivia out of the warehouse. There were still a few attendants standing outside. After taking a glance at Carl, they looked away as if they hadn't seen him.
"Are they your people too?" Carl said curiously.
Olivia nodded and said towards the man behind her, "Dale, I'll leave the rest of the matter to you. By the way, don't tell them about me coming over."
Dale nodded and said towards the men with a cold face, "If Barr asks about it later, you tell him that the people were taken by Nathan's men."
There was no one-stop them and they didn't even look at Carl and the others.
In the Lanfy Bar.
Edward placed the briefcase on the table, then sat on the chair in front of Paisley and said with a pale face, "I found out that this matter was done by people of the Kayfia Group. The Kayfia Group is not easy to mess with."
When she heard the Kayfia Group, Paisley stiffened, but she quickly relaxed and a strange smile appeared on her face.
Edward was confused by the smile on Paisley's face, "Why can you still laugh?"
Saying that, Edward became serious, "Do you have a solution?"
Paisley nodded, "Do you know who Olivia is?"
Edward shook his head, "Who could she be? Of course, she's the one who likes Carl."
Paisley looked at Edward like she was looking at an idiot, "I've investigated. Olivia is the daughter of Chairman the Kayfia Group, so this matter must have something to do with her. She wants to chase after Carl and would use sinister and poisonous schemes. Now we just need to find Olivia. Then this matter will be clear."
Edward immediately understood and picked up the phone, "I'll make a call to Olivia right now."
"I really don't understand why does Carl have your idiot friend. Olivia had a hard time getting Carl into her hands. Will she easily let us take him away? Asking her directly like that, you've put her on guard."
"So what do we do?"
"We should track this demon Olivia. Then you’re not afraid that you won't be able to find Carl and Auntie."
Edward nodded, "Yes, that's a good idea. However, I don't think we need to look for Carl. I guess he had disappeared into beauty and couldn't bring himself to come back. Wouldn't it be bad for us to ruin it by looking for him?"
Saying that, the smile on Edward's face became even brighter, "He'll come back a year and a half later, and will have married Miss Moore! And he'll bring back his child then. What name do you think Carl will give him?"
Before Edward finished, Paisley took the coffee from the table and splashed it all towards Edward's face, "As if! Even if Carl wants to have a child, it's me giving babies to Carl."
Edward’s face was splashed with coffee and he looked at Paisley in fear. The first time he saw Paisley get so angry, Edward was confused and had been overwhelmed for a while.
"No!"
Paisley stood up, "We have to find Carl immediately and bring him back. We can't let Olivia's ruse succeed."
Edward reacted, wiped the coffee from his face with a tissue as he said towards Paisley, "Come on! Carl may have already fallen in love with Olivia. Even if you find Carl, he may not come back. You'd better give it up!"
"Say that again if you have the guts."
Paisley stood up and said viciously towards Edward.
Edward was thoroughly frightened by Paisley this time, and didn't dare to continue, but thought that Paisley was a perfect beauty. Although she was a little bad-tempered, there was no telling how many rich young masters running after her. But she was in love with Carl. Was Carl so attractive to Paisley?
Edward looked at his big and ugly beer belly, but he was also considered handsome and suave. How come he didn't meet this kind of good thing?
"Let's go!"
Paisley said.
"Where are we going?" Edward reacted.
Paisley snorted, "Of course we’re going to track Olivia. If I find out that Carl has done something shameful with her, I will definitely castrate him as a eunuch and see if he still dares to go outside to find other women in the future."
Edward shivered.
After getting into the car, Paisley muttered that Gadsden was so big, and where they should go to find Olivia. It seemed that they could only do what Edward said. They should call Olivia and ask her out, then follow her.
"Call Olivia. Find a way to ask her out."
Edward picked up the phone and hesitated. If he let Olivia meet with Paisley, the consequences would be unthinkable, and it was expected that they would then fight if they disagreed with each other, and then there would be big trouble.
"What are you waiting for. Go call her." Paisley stared at Edward. She wasn't very anxious before. But after hearing what Edward said just now at the Lanfy Bar, she started to get anxious. Olivia was tricky. If Carl was really cheated by her, then she would be cuckolded.
Edward picked up the phone, "Miss Wilson, this is not good!"
Paisley suppressed her anger and said, "Edward, don't think I don't know about your affairs. Your wife is pregnant and in labor. You don't care about her wholeheartedly. You still have a mistress outside. By the way, I know her. She was Sophia from your planning department. That girl was very beautiful and bootylicious. "
Edward was so afraid that he almost fell off the car, "Miss Wilson, how did you know that?"
"You don't have to care about it. What you should care about is what you think your wife would do if she knows about it. Will she divorce you, or ...."
Edward was furious, "Miss Wilson, that's a bit too sinister! I have no grudge against you, and you actually used such dirty tricks against me."
Paisley coldly smiled, "Director Lee, if you hadn't done such dirty things and were not so close to your colleague Sophia from the planning department, would you be afraid of me threatening you?"
Saying that, Paisley got angry, "None of you men are good. As soon as you see a beautiful woman, you chase after her. Carl isn't a good man either. I treat him so well and he's even with Olivia."
"Miss Wilson, I'm sort of afraid of you." Edward begged for mercy, picking up his phone, "Can't I make a call?"
Only then did Paisley nodded in satisfaction.
They went back to the Lanfy bar.
"Miss Wilson, I actually think if you love someone, you can just see him be happy. Why do you chase after Carl so insistently?" Edward said sincerely.
"What do you now?" Paisley said, "Carl is my man. No one can snatch him away from me, even Olivia."
Edward was stunned. It took a while for him to react. What he didn't expect was that the head of the planning department, who was usually deep and cunning, would say such words. It was unbelievable.
Paisley stared at Edward and said seriously, "You must help me snatch Carl."
Edward looked at Paisley with fear and nodded.
A Lamborghini was parked outside the Lanfy Bar, and Olivia got off from it.
Edward's eyes popped out, and he was envious. Even if he didn't eat or drink for the rest of his life, he probably wouldn't afford this car.
If he were Carl, not to mention that Olivia looked so beautiful, even if Olivia looked like the ugliest girl in the world, he would be willing to be with her.
Seeing Edward staring at that car, Paisley sneered, "Olivia really certainly puts on quite a show! She even took that broken car out to show off. It’s not a big deal! The cheapest car in my house is also better than this broken car of hers."
Upon hearing Paisley bragging, Edward grinned and smiled, "Miss Wilson, your family is surprisingly rich. How about giving me one as well?"
"Okay." Paisley said, "You convince Carl to be with me and then go with me to meet my father. I'll give you one, and it's better than this one."
Edward wanted to laugh, but didn't dare to laugh out. It took a long time before he said, "Miss Wilson, I’m good at bragging. But I don't think Miss Wilson is more than a match for me
