Chapter 51 Exposed

Saying that, he drank the wine in one go.

Carl was now shocked. He knew Olivia, but he wasn't sure what the Kayfia Group was. He didn't expect the middle-aged man to be so scared when he heard Olivia's name.

The old man saw that Carl didn't say anything, apologized and said, "Mr. Rodriguez, I'm really sorry. What happened just now was his fault. I'll drink this glass of wine for him and apologize to you."

Carl was directly confused and immediately stopped the old man, "It's fine, as long as you’re not angry."

Only then did a relaxed smile appear on the old man's face.

Carl got out of the box mistily. He couldn't figure out who exactly Olivia was, and even the boss of the Dakota Real Estate was so afraid of her.

Gia only reacted after she got out of the box and looked over at Carl, "You're a nobody! Honestly, who the hell are you?"

Carl scratched his head, "Ever since I lost my memory, I can't remember anything."

Gia showed a smile and didn't say anything.

Inside the box, the middle-aged man looked confused, "Are you mistaken? If he's really Miss Moore's man, why would he come to work here? It makes no sense at all, and he doesn’t look like the real man of hers."

"You’re naive. That was his intention to pretend. He doesn’t want to let people see that. In this world, there are many strange things. In Gadsden, we can mess with anyone, but definitely not the Kayfia Group. If Miss Moore wants to deal with our Dakota Real Estate, it's as easy as squeezing an ant."

The old man let out a long sigh and said towards the middle-aged man, "Some things are not as simple as you think. There are many things you still have to learn slowly."

At two o'clock in the evening, Carl woke up Amabel and prepared to go back to the residential area.

The entertainment place was only ten minutes’ walk away from the residential area. Soon Carl arrived at the door, and didn’t see the two men, and then walked towards the residential area inside.

Amabel was sober, looking a lot more lively than before, but walking crooked that way. Carl couldn't help but smile.

In fact, Carl was now in a difficult situation. If he left Amabel at home, he would be worried that those two men would come to the door again. Amabel was only fifteen years old. It was impossible to deal with them. If he took Amabel to work, Amabel would cause him troubles.

After weighing the options, Carl decided to bring Amabel to work every day from now on.

He didn’t sleep tonight, and now it was nearly two-thirty. Carl really couldn't stay up, back home lying on the sofa to sleep.

The car outside the neighborhood.

"Sister, I'm sorry. I know it's my fault." Sarah smiled at Olivia apologetically.

Olivia didn't say anything and looked at the door of the residential area.

Sarah took Olivia's arm, "Olivia, I know you won't be mad at me. Now that we've found him, why don't we take him back?"

"No, even if we do so, he won't be willing to go back with us."

The next morning at midnight, Carl was awakened by a knock on the door, and also heard someone shouting Amabel's name.

Amabel was watching TV, heard someone shouting outside, lifted the stool and walked behind the door, stood on it and took a look towards the doorway, then opened the door.

The woman standing at the door was an old lady in her 60s or 70s, with some food in her hand. Seeing Amabel open the door, she kindy smiled, "Amabel, I've got some food for you."

Amabel said thank you for receiving it. She went to the room and after searching for a while, came out with some bills, "Mrs. Gates, this is the rent."

The old lady took the money, pulled out two of them, and then returned the rest to Amabel, "You're a child. Where do you have so much money? You just give me the charges of water and electricity and keep the rest for future study."

She glanced towards the inside, and saw Carl lying on the sofa, looking like just woke up. She was curious, "Amabel, who is he?"

Amabel looked back at Carl and smiled, "He's my cousin, coming from his hometown to visit me."

Only then did the old woman leave.

Carl looked at Amabel, who calmly lied to everyone she met.

After Amabel returned to the room, she quickly came out with clean clothes in her arms. She looked at Carl who was eating, saying, "I'm going to take a bath. I warn you not to peek at me, or I won't spare you."

Saying that, she had a look at a stick behind the door and took it to the bathroom together.

Shit! Carl was helpless. He wouldn't do such a nasty thing either!

After eating, Carl began to clean up the house. It seemed that it had not been properly cleaned up for a long time, now while he has the time to take good care of it.

Carl simply cleaned up all the place except a room When he was ready to push the door, he found it was locked.

Yesterday, Carl saw Amabel enter this room, and the key was placed in the crack of the drawer outside the door. After he found the key, he opened the door and found that it was a study. There were many things in it, such as mobile phones and computers.

Carl realized that all these things were stolen by Amabel. After she stole the things, she put them all in it. No wonder she wanted to lock it up. She didn't want Carl to see it.

Carl's eyes finally fell on a wallet. He felt that this wallet looked familiar, as if he had seen it somewhere before, but couldn't remember it for a moment.

Carl opened the wallet. There was a photo inside. The person in the photo was a man who looked to be in his late twenties, handsome, with a gentle smile on his face.

This person was Ken, Olivia's suitor. Carl remembered at once.

Amabel was really bold. She even dared to steal Ken's things.

Carl didn’t know much about Ken. He only knew that Ken was the son of the vice president of the Kayfia Group, pestering Olivia and trying to please her.

Carl was curious Carl inserted the USB into the computer.

It was an image, presumably taken secretly by someone.

In a room, Ken was looking at a few middle-aged men around 40 years old across the room, and after sitting for a few minutes, Ken stood up, "You guys are all old backbones of the Kayfia Group. You have done a lot for the Kayfia Group over the years, and my father appreciates the credit for all of you. However, ever since Gary became the chairman, he has constantly suppressed you. I know that you must be very angry."

"So what can we do? The Kayfia Group isn’t the same as before, and we have become old fogies, and Gary doesn't take us seriously at all." One of the middle-aged men said angrily.

"That's right. My son just made a small mistake and as a result, he was expelled from the Kayfia Group by Gary. I will definitely not let this matter go."

A middle-aged man with a brawny look stood up and slapped the table, "That old man Gary doesn't deserve to be the president at all. In my opinion, only Vice President Mr. Lee is worthy."

Saying that, the middle-aged man was raged, "As long as we work together, we will definitely be able to take Gary out of the position of the president."

Another middle-aged man stood up and turned pale and said, "Gary is cunning. It's not that easy to deal with him. He is too powerful to be completely defeated. Two-thirds of the people in the Kayfia Group are Gary's supporters. For the sake of everyone's future, I think this matter should be considered carefully."

That brawny middle-aged man heard such words, and scolded, "What are you afraid of? In my opinion, we just kill him. Let's recommend Mr. Lee to be Chairman of the Kayfia Group!"

Ken smiled slightly, "I know what you all mean. Without full confidence, we have to hold still and not be detected by him."

"Then what are you going to do?"

"It’s unacceptable."

......

Ken revealed a wry smile, "Now we must gain the trust of Gary, and the easiest and most direct way is to first get her daughter Olivia to marry me. Then things will be much easier."

"After gaining Gary's trust, we will then do some more tricks to ensure that we can make Gary lose his reputation and get himself out of the chairman's position. Then you guys can do whatever you want to do to him."

"That's a good idea, but Olivia is not easy to deal with. She is more cunning than her father. I'm not afraid of Gary. What I'm afraid of is Olivia. She’s incomparably vicious."
