Chapter 50: Stirring Up Trouble
The man still looked angry before, but flatteringly smiled soon, "Isn't that why I'm worried for you? What if you meet someone who is plotting against you?"
"It's my business, not yours."
Gia snorted.
The man came over and said with a smile, "I'll treat you to dinner tonight as an apology, okay? I know, you love that steak from that western restaurant out there."
This guy was still good at picking up girls.
This was a matter between them. Carl didn't want to get involved, and made an apologetic expression towards Gia, "I won't bother you. I'm going to check out the private room over there. I guess the customers are waiting anxiously."
Carl had just walked a few steps but was pulled back by Gia, "You're not allowed to leave. The boss let me lead you. If you leave, how am I going to explain to the boss?"
Saying that, Gia glared at the man, "I don't care your steak. You are a supervisor, but you can’t just tell people what to do. I think you are selfish. No one will like you."
When the man heard such words, the veins stood out on his face. He was so angry that his fists were clenched, and stared at Carl, going to punch him.
Especially when he saw Gia pulling Carl's hand, the expression on his face became ferocious.
Carl didn't expect to meet something like this on his first day at work, and wasn't sure if he had done too many bad things in the past and God punished him.
The man looked at Carl with a sneer on his face, and then left resentfully.
Only after the man left did Lan let go of Carl's hand. She looked a bit shy but she quickly reacted and apologized to Carl, "I'm sorry."
Carl shook his head, "It's fine. Helping you is the right thing to do."
Following Gia into the compartment, Carl was immediately annoyed by the noisy sounds inside.
Carl placed the wine on the table in the private room and then used a bottle opener to open a bottle of beer, while Lan was cleaning up the empty plates and empty beer bottles on the table. Looking at her working nimbly, Carl was a little jealous.
A birthday cake was placed on the table. Sitting at the top of the top was an old man, about sixty years old. Other people as well as children sat around him to wish the old man's 60th birthday, especially grand.
Gia was cleaning up the things on the table, while whispering towards Carl, "These people are all rich, and often come to our entertainment place, as old customers here. The boss specifically ordered me to come over."
"It seems that the boss thinks very highly of you." Carl smiled.
"That's right." Gia smiled proudly, "I've been working here for two years now, and I sell the most beer, and all kinds of snacks and such in a day out of all the employees."
Carl looked at Gia and was stunned.
"In fact, customers have spending intentions, and as long as we catch their consumer psychology, we can successfully sell things to them."
Saying that, Gia pointed at the middle-aged woman sitting next to the old man, "He is the eldest daughter of this old man. Her favorite drink is Carlsberg special alcohol, a new wine, but has no interest for snacks and fruit plates. And the gentleman on the left, the old uncle's third son..."
Hearing Gia say that, Carl was a little surprised and didn't expect that she knew so much. Every trade had its master. Her job here as a staff member was unworthy of her talents. If she was given a room to develop, she would definitely be able to do something great.
"You're graduating soon, right?" Carl said.
"Soon!" Gia said, "I'm still on internship. After a month, when I get my internship certificate, I can go back to school and get my diploma, then I'll be considered officially graduated."
"I know that there's no room for growth when I work here, but my cousin is in school and my mother is often sick, so I have to stay here until I find a better job."
He originally envied Gia. But now, he figured out that everyone had something to be envious of, but behind the envious eyes of others, there were hidden sorrows.
Since losing his memory, Carl couldn't remember all of the previous things, not sure what kind of person he used to be. But at least he was not envied by others!
In the past, Carl always dwelled on his past, but now he figured out that amnesia wasn't necessarily a bad thing. He could forget the past and start over as a new person.
"Clack!"
Bottle after bottle of beer on the table rolled onto the floor, the beer inside spilling everywhere.
Carl originally wanted to pick up the bottle of wine, but did not expect to be too nervous. The beer next to it also fell on the table, and to make matters worse, one of the bottles of beer rolled onto the old man's body. The beer inside all splashed onto the old man's brand new clothes, and it was drenched.
This clothing was expensive at a glance.
Carl knew he had gotten into trouble.
When Gia heard the noise and looked back, she was stunned, not expecting Carl to be so brash and clumsy, and to make such big trouble. She immediately took a napkin from the car and apologized while wiping the beer from the old man's clothes, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. He's a newcomer. I'm sorry."
The old man looked unhappy, "Your workers’ attitude here is so bad. New employees should be properly trained. If you meet someone who likes to cause trouble, you are in big trouble today."
The middle-aged man next to the old man looked like hot-tempered. He saw Carl pour all the beer on the old man's body, grabbed Carl's collar and cursed, "You are looking for death. Do you know that today is my father's birthday? If you don’t apologize to me, I'm not done with you."
Carl panicked and apologized to the middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man didn't buy it. He probably wanted to save face, and looked at Carl viciously, "You kneel down and kowtow three times to my father, otherwise, I'll deal with you, son of a bitch."
Carl was very helpless and didn't expect that on the first day of work, he met this kind of thing twice. Before that, it was Amabel stealing food from people's box, and was caught by people. Now he spilled the beer and was asked to kowtow. It seemed that he really didn't fit to work here.
Seeing that things were getting out of hand, Gia also got anxious, and this matter was the responsibility of Carl.
And at this time, that old man stood up, pushed the middle-aged man away, and after looking at Carl for a while, he said, "Are you, Mr. Rodriguez?"
This made Carl stunned. Did this old man know himself?
Gia was also stunned and whispered in Carl's ear, "This old man is Dakota Real Estate's boss. He's a great personage. Do you know him?"
Carl shook his head, "I don't know."
The middle-aged man looked angry and yelled at Carl, "Are you deaf? Can't you hear my father talking to you?"
"Get out of my way!" The old man glared at the middle-aged man, and only then did the middle-aged man reluctantly retreat to the side.
Carl smiled out at the old man and spoke, "My name is Carl, but I don't seem to know you! Are you mistaken?"
Ran also thought so. If Carl could know the supervisor of Dakota Real Estate, then how could he work in such a place?
After the old man was sure that it was Carl, he smiled, "That was a few months ago, Mr. Moore held a cocktail party at the hotel. Miss Moore introduced you to me at that time. I was curious about you and asked about the people who attended the cocktail party that day in private. I just knew that you were Miss Moore's man."
Saying that, the old man bellowed towards the middle-aged man beside him, "Go pour a glass of wine for Mr. Rodriguez."
The middle-aged man was stunned for a while, "Dad..."
"Bastard, hurry up." The old man looked furious.
The middle-aged man indignantly poured a cup of wine, walked over and handed it to Carl.
Carl was a little flattered, not sure what the old man was up to.
The old man roared, "What are you still standing there for? Come to make a formal apology to Mr. Rodriguez."
The middle-aged man was stunned, but quickly reacted, "Dad, it's obviously his fault for getting the beer on you. Why do I have to apologize to him now?"
The old man was so angry that he slapped his son’s face, "Bastard, do you know who he is? He's Miss Moore's friend, and if you offend him, you're offending the Kayfia Group."
Hearing such words, the middle-aged man reacted, said with a smile on his face towards Carl, "Mr. Rodriguez, I'm really sorry. I hope you won't be angry."
