Chapter 102- Beta Darian.

The group was stealthy and on high alert, ready for anything or any sudden attack from the rogue they were following or any rogues lurking in the shadows. Due to the exessive use of wolfsbane in the building, they were not able to use their full powers- inside was dark due to lack of lighting and they could hardly see a thing due to their limited powers, so, they had to do this by trusting their ears and instincts.

For all they knew, this rogue was leading them to their deaths, "Who goes there?", a gruff voice echoed through the dark corridor. Asher pressed the knife against the man's neck, urging him to speak up after he realized that the man could not see them as well,

"Its me, Logan. I just ompleted my rounds outside", the man lied through gritted teeth, he wanted nothing more than to shout for help and let his colleague know that they had been breached.

"Okay", the man spoke, "Has Naill taken over?", Asher could tell by the way the man spoke that he was a big shot among the men and it would be in their best interest to take the man down as soon as possible. Logan was about to speak when Asher poked him with the knife, an involuntary hiss leaving his mouth and alerting the other man. "Is everything alright?", the man began moving closer,

"Tell him the truth", Asher whispered into his captive's hear, "Make him come here", the twins and Viola gave him a look that asked if he had gone crazy. Asher had been doing spontaneous and dangerous things since they got here and even though they had worked till now, they weren't sure if this would work- heck! They didn't even know what he was up to this time.

"Logan, are you okay?", the other rogue sounded genuinely concerned but all Logan could do was whimper. He did not want to betray this man and he knew that any word that left his mouth could lead to the man's death or his.

"Tell him", Asher ordered, grazing the knife on his neck,

"No", Logan said quickly, to avoid the torture that Asher was giving him, "Alpha Asher is here", he sighed. The man had a look of surprise on his face and without thinking, he marched over to where he was hearig the man's voice, ignoring the fact that the darkness held many secrets. First of all, he could not see a thing and he was rushing head first into a fight that was barely fair.

Asher could see the outlines of the man's silhouette and once he was close, Asher raised his free hand up and spread his palm, waiting for the man to reach them. As he had expected, the man neck ended up in his hand and he squeezed it tightly, causing him to open his eyes in surprise. He hadn't expected that and he immediately figured out that he had been set up. Surprisingly, the man didn't even put up a fight, he just stood there and let Asher strangle him. Honestly, Asher had expected him to try but this man looked like he was tired of life already.

Asher threw him unto the ground before he could stop breathing, was this man even worth killing? Yes, anybody who worked with Addilyn deserved death, "Finish him", he told his brothers who just nodded and did what they were asked to do. "Now", Asher breathed out, "Where are you keeping my men?".

Logan began to guide them again, leading them further into the house until they got to a closed off hatch door, "They are in there, that's where she keeps the prisoners", he stated and hoped that they were finally going to let him go, but of course, they could not do that- they didn't know what they were going to meet behind the door and they still needed him.

Liam moved towards the door and was about to open the hatch when Asher smacked his hand and pushed him away, "Don't touch anything, that thing is laced with Wolfsbane", Asher used his free hand to open the door, allowing his brothers and Viola entrance first. Once they were in successfully, Asher tried to focus on the sounds of the dark area and he could count about eleven people there with them, "This place is heavily guarded", Asher said, "I'll watch your backs", Asher desperately wished that he could be in two places at once, danger lurked everywhere and he wanted to protect them however he could.

"I can't see a thing", Viola whispered, straining her eyes in an attempt to make her vision clearer, but of course her efforts were futile. Al she could still see was darkness, "Does anyone have a flashlight or something? I don't want to hit anything",

Asher sighed, "If you knew you couldn't deal with this, you shouldn't have come", he spoke harshly,

"Do not speak to her that way", Levi warned, his tone heavy but Asher simply shrugged him off and ignored his warning,

"Besides, the path is clear, just stay in the middle and there is nothing you need to worry about", he could see better than they could and there was nothing in sight other than a few doors. "Where is she keeping them?", he asked the man in front of him,

"I do not know exactly where she keeps them, all I know is that it's down here- only the higher ups are really allowed to be here. I'm sorry, but you captured the wrong kind of rogue", the man who was shaking furiously before now seemed more confident in his words- wait what?

Suddenly, they were being ambushed by men from all corners, "Fuck!", Asher swore before slitting the man's throat and pushing him to the ground, this was an ambush! How the hell did this keep happening? "Liam, behind you!", he screamed before rushing towards his brother and pushing him away from the rogue who was about to pierce him with a knife. The knife grazed Asher's skin, but luckily, he was used to the pain of a knife and this one wasn't even coated in wolfsbane. He was able to collect the knife from the man and he threw it to the ground, using the knife already in his hands to stab the man. He watched as the man's eyes lost all colour before moving to the next person.

"Fuck it!", Liam yelled, "I can't see a thing", they knew that the men were rounding them but they couldn't see them which was extremely horrible,

"Shift, you'll see better in your wolf form", Asher ordered them,

"You go and look for the men", Levi said, realizing they were wasting too much time, "We will hold them off", Asher shook his head- no, he wasn't going to leave them. These men were extremely dangerous and he knew the two Alphas and their Beta could take them but he just wasn't willing to leave his two younger brothers to fight without him. The men moved to attack, "Go!", Levi yelled before morphing into his grey wolf. The rest followed and they were actually holding the men off fine. Levi turned his large head to where Asher stood and when he saw that he was still standing there, he let out a low growl- go!

Asher took to his feet quickly and two rogues were about to follow him but they were immediately dragged back by Viola's large teeth. She bit onto their legs harshly and tore their limbs of their body, decapitating them until nothing was left of them. Asher didn't know where the men were but he was determined to find them, he searched inside every door and cell until he finally found them. They were in a room that was equipped for torture and they were completely ridden of their clothes. They were chained to the ground and looked like they had gone through hell and back. Asher looked away from them out of courtsey, "Alpha", one of them spoke, bowing his head and waking his colleague up,

"Which one of you is Darian's mate?", Asher asked and both men gave him a look of confusion, "Darian said that his mate was amongst two of you!", his heart started to pound in his chest and he could hear it beating through his ears,

"Alpha, Beta Darian...", one of the men started but Asher lifted his hand up,

"No, I do not want to hear it", he was a few seconds away from snapping and losing his shit completely, "I will not hear it",

"Alpha, it seems as though you already know what I want to say", the man pressed his lips together, "Neither one of us are his mates. In fact, we are both mated to women and have a family. Beta Darian set us up. We were ambushed once we got to a clearing and we thought we were all going to be taken away but that didn't happen. Darian told the rogues to roughen us up and he led us here", the guard said.

"At first, we could not believe what was happening", the other guard stated,

Asher had a look of disbelief and confusion on his face, "So, my Beta, Darian is working for Addilyn?",

"No", one of them said, shaking their head, "Addilyn is working for Darian. He is the mastermind behind everything but we head from a few rogues that Addilyn is planning on double-crossing him".

Asher sighed, "I can't even tell if that is good or bad thing", he felt so betrayed- Darian had played him for a fool, moving him like a chess piece and he had gladly played along with him, allowing his own Beta to decieve him. He had trusted Darian with his life and that scared him a lot... "Fuck!", Asher cursed once he realized something, "I need to get to the pack, now!", he had trusted the enemy with his pack blindly- his own best friend was his worst enemy and he was only seeing that now.

He moved to set the men free quickly when one of them spoke, "There is something else, Alpha. Imogen is being kept in this building as well, not down here but she is also a prisoner to her brother", Asher felt relief wash over him, he had been right all along. Imogen was not the bad person, Darian was!
