The Alpha’s Substitute Luna

Maltida is an omega—quiet, invisible, and easily forgotten. In a pack that only notices strength, she survives by keeping her head down, serving others, and never asking for more than she is given. On the night of the Alpha’s mating ceremony, Maltida is working as usual, moving through the crowd with trays in her hands and her eyes lowered. The pack is celebrating. The Alpha is meant to claim his Luna and secure his position. But everything goes wrong. The Luna goes missing. Panic spreads through the pack. Elders whisper. Other packs are watching. Without a Luna, the Alpha’s rule becomes unstable—and tradition demands a solution immediately. Maltida never expects to be that solution. Chosen because she resembles the missing Luna and because she has no power to refuse, Maltida is taken away without explanation. There are no congratulations. No joy. Only silence, judgment, and fear. Overnight, she is stripped of her servant’s clothes and locked inside the Alpha’s house, trapped in a role that was never meant to be hers.
