Chapter Seventy-Two: Alistair Saurmoure.
“WHY didn’t you tell me that the gemstones that you are using for the jewelry in our new business are from the cave of Saurmoure?!” Loki shouted.
Jean couldn’t lift her head because of fear. Loki was so mad upon discovering this. If the vampire elder didn’t come here, he wouldn’t discover this hideous crime.
“Do you know that I can kill you together with your whole family because of what you did?” he asked with gritted teeth.
Hearing about her family, Jean looked up at him with her pleading reaction.
“Your highness, please! I didn’t know that it was from the cave of Saurmoure. We have a supplier from the North Verlice and he said that the gemstones are man-made.”
Loki sighed as he clenched his fists in anger. “Tell me the name of this man.”
“His name is Alistair,” she replied.
“Alistair what?”
“I didn’t know which family he came from—”
“Damn it! Why didn’t you know? I am very sure that you have a contract with him. His name might be written there!”
One of the Royal Guards came to him and gave him a box. Loki quickly took it.
“Your highness, it seems like this box has documents inside that you should know,” the guard said.
He looked up at Jean with his brow arching.
“Your highness… please, don’t open it…”
But he didn't listen to Jean. He can't trust her anymore after what happened today.
“Where’s the key to this box?” he asked.
“Your highness, that box is important to me—”
“Then give me the key!”
“I’m sorry but I can't—”
Loki forcefully throws it on the ground. She gasped at what the King Alpha did and started to cry. She wanted to escape from the chair where she was tied up but she couldn't do anything.
The King Alpha sat down and then took all the papers inside the box. It was the contracts.
His brow arched upon reading one of the contracts that he found.
“Alistair Saurmoure?” he asked. “He is a vampire!”
“Your highness!”
Couldn't control himself, he slapped Jean.
“The audacity, Jean Muller!” he shouted. “You are forcing your sister on me while you have a hidden agenda like this? How could you do this to your own pack?”
“It’s not what you are thinking, your highness. I didn't know that he's a vampire—”
He slapped her face so hard that her cheek turned red, which also caused a wound beside her lips “Liar! We are able to determine that! Why don't you just tell me the truth?” he asked.
Jean started to cry. She wasn't able to justify herself because she was caught off guard. For a while, she was silent.
“Don’t let her eat until she tells the truth,” King Alpha said. “We have to find all those buyers who bought the gemstone. We need to retrieve everything.”
Loki walked out of the room and told every guard in the palace to search each of the households. They couldn’t just ask about it, they have to search.
The gemstones of Saurmoure cave are so precious to the vampires. It is their guidance, their protection, and now that it was taken from them, it is making them weak.
While on the other hand, the gemstones of werewolves can make their body weakened. This gemstone has a chemical that no one knows what it was. A chemical that can make their immune system weak.
A rich old woman opened the door as soon as Loki knocked on the door. She coughed, her lips pale and her eyes couldn’t look at him straight.
“Did you purchase jewelry in the newly opened store in the market?” Loki asked the old woman.
“Y-yes, your highness… I will give back the jewelry. You don’t need to go inside,” she said.
They waited there when the old woman went back inside. But while waiting, the woman suddenly fell on the ground which made them forcefully run inside to help her.
“Lola, what happened to you? Wake up!” he shook her. But the old woman didn’t wake up. She’s now unconscious.
“Your highness!”
He looked up at Beta Lincoln who just came in.
“What is it?” he nervously asked.
“A lot of our people in the market fell unconscious! I think it is the effect of the gemstone!”
“Damn it!” he shouted. “Quick! We have to gather all the gemstones in one place.”
It is the first time that the gemstone has spread in their pack. Truth was, he didn’t know that this will happen!
As the royal guards, soldiers, and maidservants searched through the whole pack to find the gemstones, Loki went back to Jean.
“What the hell is your plan? Everyone in the pack is getting sick because of the gemstone!” Loki shouted. “Tell me what’s happening or else I will kill your family!”
While he was talking to Jean, the soldiers has already begun to take her family inside the palace.
“My daughter will never do that thing!” Jana, Jean’s mother begged. “Please! You have to reconsider it!”
Jean started to cry as soon as she saw her mother. Five of her family came with the soldiers together with Jane.
“I will tell you everything that happened, your highness. Just please don’t involve my family here!” she cried.
Loki glared at her. As she continuously cried, she started to tell what really happened.
“I fell in love with Alistair… I know that he’s a vampire but it doesn’t matter to me because I am in love with him…”
“Jean! How could you?” Jane shouted.
“He offered me a business that he said could help our pack. I didn’t really think of it carefully because I trust him,” she said. “That’s when he gave me the gemstone. I thought it was just a simple gemstone. He said he was the one who made it and it has the power to give people their desires. That’s what I told the buyers… They are eager to get all their desires that’s why everyone bought it.”
Loki closed his eyes tightly. “Tell me where I can meet this Alistair…”
