Chapter 233
WRITER'S POV
----
The head maid looked at the werewolves surroundings her. She could feel the hostility in them but surprisingly it wasn't directed at her.
It was directed to the child she was holding in her arms.
She wasn't going to allow anything to happen to the child. There was no way she was going to be able to escape from the situation that she was in.
She was only a poor maid who didn't have any fighting ability and was surrounded by a group of mind-controlled wolves.
She could only pray to the moon goddess so that she was going to save her.
She couldn't let the queen down. She had to deliver the child to its mother safely even if it was going to cost her life.
The werewolves approached the head maid who was shivering on the spot with Bryan in her arms.
She could feel the hostility coming from the wolves becoming stronger and stronger with each step they took.
She had to do something, if she could see even a slight opening, she was going to make the run for it.
She had to escape first and that was her priority. How she would escape was none of her business.
All she knew was that she wanted to leave where she was.
Well, it was quite impossible with the situation she was in.
Suddenly the pressure on the head maid doubled and a figure appeared not far.
At that moment the head maid sighed in relief when she saw who it was.
But then she frowned when she looked into the eyes of the queen. It was pitch black.
Darker than the controlled wolves in front of her. Also, she could feel the hostility directed at Bryan.
The head maid couldn't help but shiver unconsciously when she saw the scene.
A big premonition rose in her heart as she couldn't believe what was happening.
It seemed like the moon goddess didn't have the intention of answering her prayers as there was no way she was going to be able to escape as long as it was the queen who attacked her.
At that moment Bryan, who was in the head maid's arms, chuckled loudly and spread his hands toward the queen who was approaching slowly.
Suddenly Ana stopped in her tracks and the pitch-black color in her eyes disappeared.
Tears trickled down her eyes but soon the pitch-black color came back again and this time it was even darker.
The other wolves at the side were shivering in fear. Even though they and the queen were both controlled.
The difference in their level of powers was so obvious and they couldn't help but shiver.
Soon the queen got to the head maid and Bryan chuckled even louder, stranding his little arms towards her wanting her to take him into her embrace.
Tears trickled down the head maid's face, the child wanted the queen to hug him and yet he was going to be killed by her.
Suddenly Ana froze when she was just some meters away from the head maid.
Her eyes landed on a necklace worn by the head maid. Seeing this an idea came to the head maid.
Quickly she removed the necklace and wore it for the queen hoping it was going to work.
The next moment, a blinding emitted from the necklace and shit into the queen and soon she was back to her senses.
The head maid sighed in relief as she couldn't believe it was going to be so easy.
Tears trickled down Ana's face as she thought of what she was about to do.
She would have killed the child if not for the head maid's quick action.
Even though what made her unable to move closer to the child in the first place was because of his chuckle.
It was like a needle piercing into the skin of someone who was in pain.
Ana pushed the thought away and took Bryan from the head maid before thanking her.
She knew the next thing to do was to escape from the kingdom. Even though she felt sorry for her mate there was nothing she could do.
She was sure that his subject would take good care of him so she had to leave first to look for Daciana.
She couldn't guarantee that what happened just now wasn't going to happen again.
Who knew when the witch was going to come back? She knew that from that day onward Alverest Kingdom was gone.
The witch was going to come back to enslave everyone. She wished that they knew so that they were going to flee.
But they didn't know and she wasn't going to be able to tell them.
She had to run at the moment, after all, one who runs from a fight lives to fight another day.
When she was strong enough she was going to come back to free them.
She was going to come back for her revenge even though she didn't know how many years it was going to take for her to exert her revenge.
All she knew was that she had to escape at this instant.
"Let's go," Ana sighed and rushed out of the castle along with the head maid.
They didn't know where they were heading but they knew they had to leave first to ensure their safety.
Bryan was still giggling in Ana's arms as they ran; he felt it was just exciting.
Although they experienced some problems along the way, Ana quickly solved them with her formidable strength and quickly they proceeded.
In no time they were out of the kingdom and in the forest. Even at that, the two didn't dare to stop or even look back.
The other party was a witch and if they didn't run far enough they were good to be caught so they didn't even bother to stop.
They weren't going to stop until they were sure they were at a safe place and that safe place was going to be a place where they were never going to be found.
