Chapter 234
DACIANA'S POV
----
The spell I was chanting would take a rather huge toll on me.
Even though I didn't want to do it, I knew I had no choice. Since Conri had helped me this much there was no harm in casting it.
Before long the floor quavered and an ice dome appeared slowly from the floor.
Soon the ice was out and I could see Dorian inside the ice sleeping peacefully.
No, he wasn't sleeping, he was unconscious. Judging from the state in which he was, I didn't know how long it was going to take to wake him up.
I looked at the ice and began to chant again. But no matter how much I chanted nothing happened.
The ice didn't budge and I couldn't help but frown.
There was no way to undo the spell except if I was stronger than the caster and the caster was my twin.
What the hell was I going to do? Was all my hard work going to go down the drain?
I wouldn't agree to it, I must save Dorian no matter what. Standing up I unleashed my powers and set fire to the ice.
But then again the fire quenched as soon as it came in contact with the ice.
"Calm down Daciana."
I heard Conri say softly as he held my hands. I could also see the pain in his eyes.
I was sure he also wanted to see Dorian. I was sure he also didn't want our sufferings to be in vain as we almost died while coming over.
"We have to do something, Conri," I sighed helplessly as I stared at him.
"I know." He replied softly.
"Then let's do something," I sighed and wanted to walk forward but he pulled me back again.
"Daciana, don't be irrational, he smiled calmly while looking at me.
"We are in enemy territory and we'll be caught if we try to find a solution right here.."
"How about we sneak him out of here."
Hearing his words I came to a realization, I didn't know when Laura was going to come back and I was just going to be jeopardizing my safety if I tried to find a solution here.
Conri was right, what should be our priority now was to look for a way to sneak the ice Outside the kingdom.
Then I can slowly look for a way.
"It's been a long time sister." A voice suddenly echoed in the room.
I couldn't help but shiver when I heard the voice. I knew the owner of the voice well. That was my twin.
How in the hell did she know I was here?
"Since it's been a long time, I'm going to welcome you." The voice sounded again and my twin appeared out of thin air.
"You know you couldn't believe that you were the one who infiltrated my castle," Laura smiled and walked towards me.
My blood boiled and my anger rose but there was nothing I could do. She was far stronger than me.
"Before you touch her you have to get to me first," Conri's voice pulled me out of my thoughts and the next thing I knew was his figure standing between me and Laura.
I couldn't help but be grateful to Conri but then he shouldn't have interfered.
This wasn't something he could interfere in. He was going to die before he died.
I wanted to talk but my words were stuck in my throat and they couldn't come out.
"I see you've gotten a helper," Laura smiled looking at Conri who stood in her front without a hint of fear in his eyes.
"Conri, this isn't for you to meditate on," I frowned trying to talk to him so he was going to back down.
"Don't worry Daciana, I know what I'm doing, hurry up and escape with Dorian," Conri replied.
My heart couldn't help but skip a beat when I heard his words. So it turned out that he was just trying to buy me time.
But that shouldn't do, he was going to die if he tried to fight Laura. She was much stronger than one could imagine.
"Well, let's see how you're going to escape," Laura smiled, staring at me.
"Not when I'm here," Conri replied and closed in the distance between himself and Laura.
Even though he knew she was a witch he was quite fearless. I wanted to talk but no words came out.
Even if Laura wanted to take control of Conri's mind it wasn't going to be an easy feat.
She knew how strong his resolve was and she was sure it was going to be at its strongest at the moment.
"This is getting interesting, another group is threatening me," Laura suddenly smiled as she stared at the door.
Immediately the door was kicked open as some figures walked in.
I could recognize only a figure out of the three figures that walked in and that was only Ashina.
Besides her was a figure in veil. The figure gave off the aura of a witch and I could tell that she was very strong.
"What the f. uck was happening?" I cursed under my breath surveying the situation.
Ashina on the other hand didn't seem to notice me as her gaze was on Laura.
I could feel a very strong hatred coming from her. Well, I wasn't surprised.
It would have been shocking if Ashina didn't hate Laura for what she had done even though it was all Ashina's fault in the first place.
If she hadn't been so obsessed with Dorian, she would have never given Laura a chance to act.
From the lineup I was seeing, I was sure she had collided with another witch to take down Laura.
Even though I didn't know what gave them the confidence as Laura was way more powerful than the witch by Ashina's side.
Also didn't Ashina learn her lesson, how could she collide with a witch again?
What if she was betrayed? Well, it was none of my business. All I knew was that I was going to escape from here.
None of the people present stood a chance against Laura and I was sure they knew that.
Since there were more people I hoped I would be able to escape with Conri as I didn't want anything to happen to him.
"Since everyone is here, let the party start," Laura's voice broke the silence and I couldn't help but shiver uncontrollably.
