Chapter 232
DACIANA'S POV
----
My heart couldn't stop beating wildly even after the spatial fluctuation had disappeared.
Who the hell had just used such a large amount of spatial power?
The person must be quite skilled in controlling space that was why they were able to make such a huge commotion.
"What's wrong Daciana?" Conri frowned, staring at me.
"Nothing," I replied and quickly caught up to him.
Due to what happened just now, I was in shock so I froze in my tracks while Conri was ahead.
"Let's hurry up then," Conri smiled and increased his speed.
I nodded and tried to catch up with him even though I knew my stamina wasn't as strong as his but I didn't complain.
I was still trying to analyze what could have caused such a huge spatial fluctuation.
I couldn't find any answer to my question. But then again it was only a witch that would know how to use such.
Now the question was who was lurking in the dark that I didn't know.
My heart couldn't help but go straight, Laura.
She was the only one capable of causing such a huge commotion.
Then if she was one, then what the hell was going on?
What in the hell did she need to move that made her cause such a huge spatial fluctuation?
Could it be that she was not in the castle at this time? Could it be that she had gone somewhere?
Well, there was the possibility of that happening but still, I couldn't deny the fact that she was still in the castle.
"Let's hurry up, it's like Laura is not in the castle," I whispered to Conri.
Conri stopped in his tracks when he heard what I said.
It was like he didn't believe me but his expression said otherwise.
Even though the distance from where we were to the castle was not much, it was still a king's journey.
We might be in the forest, but we were deep inside the forest so the distance we needed to cover wasn't something to be scoffed at.
Conri smiled and didn't say anything. The next thing I heard was the cracking and reshaping of bones.
In no time Conri had transformed into his wolf form. Right now I didn't know what to do as I was a little bit confused.
The next thing I knew was that I was lifted by the huge wolf and then placed on its back.
Before I could react, the wolf started moving at a high speed. I had no choice but to hold onto the fur of the wolf.
This was the oy support I had or else I was going to fall off which could easily lead to my death due to the height of the wolf and the speed at which it was moving.
I couldn't thank Conri enough. If we were to continue walking it was going to take us at least half a day to arrive at the castle since I was going to need to replenish my stamina.
But with Conri carrying us we should be able to get to the castle in about an hour.
Also if we were to walk, I would have lost quite a lot of energy, and searching for Dorian was going to be tough.
But now that Conri was carrying me, I would be able to save some energy and I would be able to save him even faster.
I felt the wolf's speed increase as time went on until it became like a gust of wind.
I couldn't help but hold tightly onto the fur of the wolf so I wasn't going to fall.
I couldn't stop my heart from beating rapidly as we got closer to the castle.
I was finally going to see Dorian. All I hoped was that he was as hale and healthy as I did I wanted anything to happen to him.
I knew what my twin could do, but I was praying that she didn't do anything I knew she could do.
Soon we arrived at the gate of the castle. It was just like it was before with the guards patrolling and others facing their work.
The only difference was the blank look on everyone's faces. I couldn't help but shake my head when I saw this.
All the people in the kingdom were under a spell and were nothing but puppets at the moment.
I thought Conri was going to stop at the gate of the castle but to my surprise, he didn't.
Before the guards reacted he had already leaped over the huge.
Lading on his hind limbs, the wolf sniffed the air and soon it took off in another direction.
I continued to hold onto the wolf's fur as it ran into the castle. Even though I didn't know where it was going I knew it wasn't going to disappoint me.
It was Conri after all and I was sure that wherever he was taking me was going to be where I needed to be.
Soon the wolf stopped again and sniffed the air before continuing its journey.
I must say that Dorian's kingdom was rather large even though it was as big as the size of Alverest's Kingdom.
The wolf stopped at multiple places sniffing the air before it would continue on its journey.
Soon we got to where I and Dorian were living before the incident happened.
The wolf nudged at me and I jumped off its back. Immediately the wolf transformed back into Conri.
"He's here," Conri said solemnly and walked into the building without giving me a chance to say anything.
My heart couldn't help but beat wildly when I heard what he said.
But I didn't say anything and directly followed him Inside. Soon Conri stopped at the front of a door.
"He must be in this room." He frowned and pushed the door open.
The two of us walked inside the room and began to rummage through it but we couldn't find anyone.
I looked at Conri and I could see the confused expression on his face.
"Something must be wrong." He frowned.
I nodded and looked around the room. I could feel some energy residue in the room and it was kind of cold.
To say cold was even an understatement. It was freezing, someone must have cast a spell here to avoid anyone from finding Dorian.
Thinking about this, I sat on the floor crossed-legged and began to chant some spells.
