Chapter 19
Chapter 19
A few days later.
Lisa was discharged from the hospital, and Lucanne invited her to stay in an apartment she had previously rented. Lisa didn't know that the Pack was not doing well because of Moreno's attack that killed several werewolves.
"What exactly happened?" asked Lisa.
Lucanne was still putting all of Lisa's clothes into the closet. "Nothing happened; I thought you'd be safer in the city than in the forest."
"I feel that those in the Pack are not well. Lucanne, I'm their queen, and I need to know what's going on," Lisa said.
"I'm afraid you'll be shocked, and your pregnancy will be compromised."
Lisa shook her head and assured her husband that she would be fine; Lucanne sat on the edge of the bed looking at Lisa's beautiful face, even without makeup. No one could ever take Lisa's place now that Lucanne was so in love with her.
"Moreno attacked our Pack and killed several werewolves. I've told the others to leave the Pack, and we're going to attack them," Lucanne said.
The woman was so surprised that Moreno did have a lousy nature even though she thought Moreno was a good werewolf. Lucanne also explained that if the victims who died were women and children, all this could not be allowed because it would damage the population of her clan.
"It must be because of me that Moreno is like that," Lisa said.
"Not because of you, Moreno, and we have been enemies for a long time," Lucanne replied.
"So it was true what the Moon Goddess said that our marriage would lead to war, and I had the confidence to prevent that from happening," Lisa said.
Lucanne stroked her wife's shoulder, her face tense again with a hint of affection. Suddenly, she hugged Lisa tightly and said all this was not Lisa's fault; even Lucanne dared to guarantee that the giant war would not happen.
"I want to meet the Moon Goddes; I want to say that I can't keep my promise to her," Lisa said.
"You're pregnant, and don't think about anything else! From now on, you will be safe here because werewolves will not dare to make trouble in the city," Lucanne replied.
"Alpha, I am so grateful. I love you," Lisa said.
Ultimately, they had to separate even though it was only temporary; Lucanne left the apartment with a backpack while Lisa had to stay there alone and hope that nothing bad happened to her husband. After Lucanne left, Lisa got a message from her teacher to come to school. She quickly put on her uniform and headed to school.
Arriving at school, Lisa saw that all the parents had come to collect their children's report cards and certificates, while Lisa had to collect them herself.
"Lisa, where exactly are your parents?" said Miss Margareth.
"Emh..."
"I dialed their number, but it's inactive," said Miss Margareth.
"They're dead," said Lisa.
"What, why didn't you tell us?"
Lisa was just silent, and she was afraid that everyone would know if her parents died because they were killed; even Lisa did not know where the bodies of her parents were.
"Poor Lisa, forgive us for only knowing now. Is this why you didn't want to continue your studies?" asked Miss Margareth.
Inevitably, Lisa had to lie again; she had no choice but to lie. After Lisa got her report card and a graduation certificate, all the teachers were concerned about Lisa because they knew Lisa had no one anymore. Of course, after this, the students will organize a prom night as a form of farewell because they will not meet again at school. Lisa kept quiet and followed what they planned until they all agreed that the event would be held next week.
After that, Lisa went back to the apartment. She didn't care about the stupid event; her husband's clan was in trouble, so that Lisa couldn't have fun. Arriving at the apartment, Lisa put her bag on the table and held her stomach, which had a baby werewolf.
"My life is so complicated," she said.
Lucanne came to Moreno's Pack alone; she wasn't afraid of them. Moreno smiled a little; he was welcoming even though several werewolf heads were hanging from the trees, and it was obvious that the werewolves were from Lucanne's clan.
"What's your problem?" Lucanne asked.
"Why ask me?" asked Moreno.
"If you want Lisa then it will never happen. The Moon Goddes have already said that we cannot want Luna from another alpha," said Lucanne.
Moreno approached Lucanne, several other werewolves were already preparing in case Lucanne attacked.
"You took Lisa from me; she was my target from the start," Moreno said.
Moreno punched Lucanne; Lucanne dodged it and retreated several meters. Moreno smiled mockingly, thinking Lucanne was afraid of him when she wasn't.
"I never felt like taking Lisa away from you, but if you want to fight me, I'll fight you gladly," Lucanne said.
In the end, they had a one-on-one fight as a form of revenge for all the dead werewolves. Lucanne was never afraid of anyone, even though she was alone in a pack of other werewolves. They morphed into angry wolves, their howls so terrifying that they made the sky darken instantly. They attacked each other, scratching and biting to determine the winner.
Lucanne's ear was bleeding from a bite from Moreno; she backed away slowly while Moreno continued to attack her. Suddenly, Lisa arrived; Moreno's attack hit her, and she fell to the ground. Lucanne was surprised; in wolf form, she approached Lisa.
"Alpha, why are you stupid?" asked Lisa.
Lucanne transformed into human form and then hugged Lisa tightly.
"You're so stupid, Lucanne," Lisa said, crying.
Moreno remained in wolf form. He approached them and was about to attack, but Lucanne blocked the attack until Moreno's bite tore apart her hand. Lucanne's condition had many wounds, as did Moreno; at the same time, Mark and Sean came with other werewolves.
"Alpha!"
"We'll finish it right now! I'll kill Moreno with my hands," Lucanne said.
Lucanne felt her body suddenly stiffen; she fell to the ground, and her eyesight faded. Shit! Moreno's bite wasn't just an ordinary bite; there was poison in his canine teeth.
"Who's going to die? It looks like you're going to die first," said Moreno.
"Lucanne!" shouted Lisa.
Lisa looked at Moreno sharply. "I'm going to kill you."
