Chapter 16
Chapter 16
Today, all the werewolves will hold a meeting to discuss many things, such as foodstuffs running low because humans participate in hunting animals and then springs that suddenly dry up. Lisa was there to see her stern husband lead this meeting; even her husband's charm was influential as a leader. Medicine supplies were also running low, and it was Lisa's job to find new medicine; they were also against manufactured drugs that could be toxic to their bodies.
"If Luna gives us human medicine, then we won't want it; we're afraid of Nick's incident happening again," said one of the werewolves.
"I told you that Nick's death was not the fault of the medicine he took," Lucanne replied.
"That's okay, Alpha. I understand their fears, and I won't be giving any more human medicine to werewolves," Lisa said.
"Well, my wife will take care of the health and other medications. I will also open a new candidate warrior led directly by our gamma, Sean. Make sure you are physically strong and not afraid of anything, do you understand?" Lucanne asked.
They nodded their understanding; the meeting ended, and they did their activities. Lucanne was still hanging out with Mark and Sean; they were the most critical werewolves in the clan, so their role was extraordinary.
"Lucanne, I want to find a signal. I'm afraid my teacher will contact me, but I can't," Lisa said.
"Don't go too far!" replied Lucanne.
The girl walked out of the Pack; she had to walk a long way to get a signal, and one of the female werewolves accompanied her. They continued to walk without saying much while Lisa focused on her phone screen until she got a sign little by little.
"There's a signal here," Lisa said.
Lisa got several messages from her friends; she was jealous of their lives, who had complete parents and children from rich people. Lisa also feels at home living in the middle of this forest, but still, she sometimes gets bored because every day, she has to see a lot of tall trees. Suddenly, the female werewolf acted strangely and became more alert; Lisa looked at her, a little scared.
"What's wrong with you?" she asked.
"Luna, stand behind me! There are vampires around," Megan replied.
"Vampires? So vampires exist in this world?"
"They're much more dangerous to humans, let alone special half-elf humans like you, Luna."
Sure enough, there was a pretty girl not long after; it looked like the girl who had strayed into the wolf pack, but why would she come back here? Megan continued to protect Lisa; her long nails were out as if she wanted to claw the unknown girl.
"Elle, why are you here?" asked Lisa.
"Lisa, I finally found you," the girl replied.
Lisa hugged her tightly because Elle was her best friend at school; Megan still felt anxious and afraid that Lisa was attacked by the vampire girl.
"Lisa, you live here?" asked Elle.
"Yes, why are you here alone? It's hazardous here," Lisa replied.
"It's okay."
Lisa then invited Elle to the Pack; all the werewolves were immediately put on alert because they had always disliked vampires, especially the girl named Elle, who seemed normal in the werewolf area.
"Luna, why did you bring her here?" asked Lucanne.
"She's my schoolmate; her name is Elle," Lisa replied.
Mark stared intently at Elle, the girl who had entered the Pack on the pretense of being lost. Elle reached out to them, but they were silent, especially Lucanne, who felt a fishy odor on Elle's body.
"What was your purpose in approaching Lisa?" Lucanne asked.
"Before you knew her, I knew her first," Elle replied.
Lisa looked around her; all the werewolves looked disliked at Elle. Why did everything Lisa did always go wrong in their eyes?
"Can I stay the night? It's getting late, I'm afraid to go home alone," Elle said.
Lucanne strangled the vampire girl, making Lisa startle and quickly remove her husband's hands from Elle's neck. After that, Lisa protected Elle and did not forget to apologize if her friend's arrival disturbed them.
"Why do you hate ignorant vampires like me so much? You should hate vampires who mess with you while I don't do anything wrong here." Elle cried, making Lisa unable to bear it.
"Elle, you better go home! One of the werewolves will take you to the forest border," Lisa said.
"Lisa, you're so mean! I thought we were friends," said Elle, then ran away from the Pack.
Of course, all this confused Lisa; she didn't want to make a mistake in this Pack, and she didn't have the heart to send Elle home. Lucanne pulled her hand into the house. The man was showing his stern side to Lisa.
"This is the last time you make trouble. I don't want any new problems in the future that make this Pack threatened," Lucanne said.
"In the end, you blame me; I'm sorry if I'm always causing trouble in this pack," Lisa replied.
"Luna, I didn't mean it that way."
Lisa didn't care; she would rather lie in bed listening to music than hear her husband's words. It had been a month since they were married, and they were still disagreeing, then Lucanne gave in.
"Luna, I'm sorry," Lucanne replied.
"Why are you sorry? You're not wrong. Today, I don't want to do anything; I want to introspect on what I'm doing here. Honestly, it's tough to adapt here. If it wasn't for you, I probably wouldn't be here. I don't have an exit, and I only have you," Lisa said.
Lucanne kissed Lisa's head. She did have to be strict with her wife, but honestly, she couldn't bear to see Lisa sad like this. They hugged, but suddenly, Lisa felt sick from inhaling Lucanne's scent.
"Your body smells bad," Lisa said.
"I've always smelled like this," Lucanne replied.
"Stay away from me; you make me sick," Lisa said.
"Luna, what happen with you?"
