Chapter 87 Ciara
Chapter 87 Ciara
Elena's POV
I turned and twisted as I tried to get some sleep but it wasn't working.
It was already past midnight and Liam wasn't back yet.
What was he doing?
Ayra? Are you awake?
No answer.
I guess I was on my own.
I got out of bed and grabbed my robe.
The mansion didn't feel so amazing now that it was just me walking the hallways.
I strolled towards the kitchen.
I let out a sigh of relief as I found some ice cream sitting in the fridge like it was just waiting for me to come pick it up.
Strawberry. My favourite.
I had taken it with me to the living room.
Well, since I am waiting for Liam I might as well just watch some movies.
I turned on the TV and continued to eat my ice cream.
“Elena,”
“Elena,” I opened my eyes.
I looked around, hoping to see Liam but there was no one there.
I looked back at the TV, I didn't even know when I fell asleep.
I turned it off and gathered myself about to head back to the room.
“Elena,” I turned again but there was no one there.
Could it be Liam? Was he locked outside?
I walked towards the door.
I hesitated but I turned the lock and opened it.
“Liam?” I called out but no one answered me.
I stood there for a while.
This is so stupid. I turned around to go back inside.
“Is it?” I turned around to see Ciara.
Before I could do anything, she pressed her fingers into my head.
The pain was unbearable.
When I opened my eyes I wasn't in the front door.
I was in her body again.
“Hey, why are you crying?” I asked the little girl who clung to my skirt.
“They keep making fun of me,” she sobbed.
“Who?”
“The boys in my village,” she said.
“Don't worry about them, I bet they are even doing it because they like you,” I said.
She wiped her tears. “You think?”
“Yes, boys can be so weird and dumb sometimes.”
She smiled. “Then maybe we can all just be friends.”
“Yes, maybe,” I didn't want to raise her hopes too high.
My mind went back to my mate, Kylan, he used to tease me and prank ne when we were little until we got older and he told me he actually liked me but he didn't want to admit it.
His lifeless body flashed through my mind. They took him away from me.
I could feel my anger growing and so was the darkness but j pushed it back, I didn't want to scare this girl.
“Myra! Where are you?” Someone said.
“I have to go now, see you tomorrow,” she waved and ran off to meet her mother.
I stood there for a while and then left back to my tent.
After the pack had banished me, I had been living like this, moving around until I found this place.
They were humans so it was easier to live among then but I still kept my distance.
I was walking through the walking through the woods the next day, trying to get something to eat.
“Hey, you are pulling my gown,” someone said.
I knew that voice.
“Shut it, you little twarp, what made you think that me or my brothers would ever want anything to do with you,” another girl said as the three boys behind her laughed.
“It's okay to be friends, I want to be friends with you.” Myra said.
“But I don't want to, what good would a friend who has a infected dad be?”
“He's not infected! He's just sick,” her lips shaked.
“Yeah right, your infectious little father, I think he should just die,” she said as she pushed Myra.
Myra pushed her back and they started fighting butse was outnumbered as her brother joined.
“How dare you touch me!” The other girl screamed as she kicked Myra in the stomach and her brothers were stomping on her.
Stop it, they were going to kill her.
My mind flooded with the lifeless body of the ones I loved.
Before I could stop it the darkness found it way out of me and rushed towards the kids except Myra.
They shook as they fell to the ground.
Stop it! I screamed at myself as I pulled the power back.
“No, no,” I said as I ran off to the kids, shaking them to see if they would wake up.
“What did you do to them?” Myra said with fear in her eyes.
“I was trying to help you,” I said as I tried to touch her but she moved back.
“Mama! Mama!” She screamed as she ran off. “There's a monster in the woods.”
I waited to stop her but I needed to make sure the other kids were okay.
I pressed my hands to their nose.
I sighed in relief. They were just unconscious.
“Where is she?”
“She's just around there, with shalom and her brothers,” Myra said.
I felt betrayed but I knew I had leave before they found me.
I looked back at the kids one last time before I turned around and ran.
I didn't stop running until I was somewhere I didn't recognized.
“You will always be a monster to everyone, why not just give in,” Ciara said as she leaned against a tree.
I was me again but we were still in the woods.
“You could have killed those kids!”
“If I had not stopped them, they would have killed her!”
“You don't know that,” I said.
“You'd have to be really stupid f you thought that,” she walked up to me. “You can't ran away from it Elena, this power, you can't have only the good parts. So get ready cause the world is about t hate you for it.”
“I am not you.”
“So you keep saying, but I don't know if you are trying to convince me or yourself, face it you would have done the same thing.”
I didn't say anything.
“See my point,” she smiled. “Well this was fun.”
“You are sick,” I said.
“Aren't we all?” She vanished and so did the forest.
I was back at the mansion but I was standing outside the gate.
“How did I get so far?” I turned around about to run back into the house.
“Hello miss,” someone said behind me. “Are you lost?”
I turned around but I moved backwards immediately.
He smiled.
Red eyes, sharp teeth.
Vampire.
