Chapter 86 Frank

Chapter 86 Frank
Liam's POV

“You’re a long way from home,”

“Nice to see you too, Frank,” I said as he stretched out his hand to help me stand up and I took it.

“Still using that cheap shot,” I said as I stood up.

“Still falling for it I see,” he laughed and I smirked.

“Where are my men,” I said as I sensed the link was still quiet.

“Oh, I just had my little cousin knock them out. I have to say, you were so easy to sneak up on.”

“Sure,”

“But seriously, what are you doing here? If the other vampires knew you were here, they'd be after your head.”

“You don't think I know that, but someone still thinks he lives in the stone age and doesn't want to get a cellphone.”

“Those things are overrated and easy to track, you don't know how many people are after my skin,” his red eyes shined even more now.

“Yeah sure,” I said.

“So why are you here?” He asked as he brushed away the imaginary dust that was on his vintage coat.

“I need your help with something,”

“Go on, I'm listening.” He said.

“We need somewhere more private and can you tell me why my men are,” I said.

“Lucas,” he said and a boy appeared by his side. “Yes Cousin,” he said, looking roughly around Sarah's age, maybe a few years older.

He was still human, I could tell he would be really good looking once he got older.

I looked between him and Frank. I didn't care much about the vampire world but the thought of turning a young boy like him into one of them at such an age was just cruel.

“Put his men in the truck and drive them back to his mansion, be careful and don't let anyone see you, okay?”

“Got it,” he said and he was out of my sight before I could protest. He was fast, probably faster than Frank.

“Don't worry, he won't go snooping around, he never does, he doesn't want to draw attention too,” he said.

What does that mean?

But I didn't have time for Frank's metaphors tonight.

“Shall we?” I stretched out his hand and I knew he was asking for my car key.

“If you scratch it, you are dead.”

“No harm will be done,”

We got in and he drove us to a restaurant.

“So this is the private place you had in mind?” I looked at him.

“The place is mine so there aren't any customers except I want them to be and you are one of my favorite customers,” he smirked as we both got down and went inside.

“So, what do you want?” He asked.

“I’m looking for anything and everything dating back to the First Ones,” I said as I looked him straight in the eye.

“And what could you possibly need that for?”

“It's none of your business, can you get it for me?”

“Oh but it is, I might be ancient but even I have my limits, everything that has to do with the First Ones is sacred. Even the name itself is a strong give away.”

“Frank, I'm serious right now,” I slammed my hand on the table a little too much.

“So I am, you know those archives contain knowledge that could do real damage to the supernaturals, how do I know you won't let it fall into the wrong hands and use it against my kind,” he said.

“Now you are just sounding ridiculous, I don't need all the information it contains, I just need information about my kind, my lineage and everything that surrounds it.”

“Well why did you start with that?” He sipped his drink. “That won't be too difficult to get, a little compulsion spell and then it will be right in your hands.”

“Okay then,” I relaxed now and downed my drink.

I noticed Frank was staring at me.

“What?”

“I heard you got married?”

“I did.”

“If I remember correctly, you once swore against it, but now here you are married. Who's the lucky girl?”

“If you have something to say, get to the point?”

“Oh I don't know, maybe how your mate who you told me was dead suddenly came back to life and you married her. You know news travels.”

I sighed. “Are you mad that didn't tell you?”

“Why would I be? It's not like I have known you for more than half of your life.”

I held back a smirk. “Well you didn't have a phone.”

He paused. “Fair.”

He was staring at me again.

“What is it now?”

“Are you in some kind of trouble?”

“No I'm not and even though I was-”

“It's none of my business I know, but if I'm risking my neck for you, I'd like to know why,”

“You don't see me asking questions about you and your cousin,”

He tensed up. “What about us?”

“He's a kid Frank, a kid and you thought it was okay to turn him already.”

“You are not even making sense right now?”

“Sure I'm not, but it's not like I'm the one who just stole that boy's childhood from him,” I shook my head.

“Okay, I think we need to back up a bit, I didn't steal the boy's childhood, if anything, he grows every day.”

“Can you be serious for once?”

“I am! I didn't turn him.”

I stared at him for a while. “Then who did? A friend of yours?”

“No, no one did, he sighed as he sipped his drink while I stared at him in confusion.

He looked at me. “He's a special one.”

“He has powers? What kind?”

“No I mean he's special,” he leaned in closer. “Like the First Ones.”

“What?!”
