Chapter 55 The Dungeon Surprise
Alyssa's POV
I felt lighter after the massage and I wasn't exaggerating. We also got our facials done. The last thing we did were our nails and since they already knew who we were, it didn't take long there.
“I feel like a new human!" Aria exclaimed, “my man is in for the best treat tonight."
“So is Zayne, I promised him a pleasant surprise." I heard myself say, before I could stop the words and all of them turned to look at me. Lori had the most shocked expression, and I fought back a laugh.
“You’re catching up nicely.” Aileen said, and the two of them started recounting our first trip to Lori and Mel. How I was embarrassed to even try on most of the things they selected.
But I just shrugged, it was different now. Being with Zayne erased every trace of insecurity. He never failed to remind me of how beautiful I was and when we made love, he worshiped my body, made me feel like I was perfect and if that didn’t make me feel confident, nothing else can.
“Can we go now…I want to get the best things.” I finally asked, when they were done teasing me.
"Of course, your Highness.” Aria said and I rolled my eyes…with the amount of times I've done that, I'm sure my eyes would get stuck one day.
We entered the store and the girls went crazy, grabbing several sets of bras and panties before dashing into the changing room. “Okay, I think I need everything in this colour!” Aileen exclaimed, turning the dressing room to her personal runway, showing off the purple lingerie she was wearing.
Lori was bold, going for a black two piece with corset and straps which fit her body perfectly. Aria and Mel also chose several until we couldn't keep count.
“I think this is the one!" I gasped, picking up a black, high end lingerie set with a hollow out bralette and a strappy garter design, my jaw dropping at the sight. “Zayne would definitely love seeing me in it." I thought.
“Are you sure you're not into girls?" Lori asked, when I finally put it on.
“Finally, something we both agree on!" Aileen said.
After what felt like forever, we finally had everything we bought packed into several boxes and as expected, it filled more bags than I cared to count. I handed the attendant the card Zayne had given me while the others carried everything we bought outside the store where Tristan collected the ones Aria and Aileen were holding. He glared at Lori, asking her to carry her problem while Mel insisted on carrying them.
“Now I'm starving," I complained.
“Can you read my mind?" Aria asked, taking my hand in hers.
“There's a canteen up ahead, get something to eat while I drop this in the car.” Tristan said, before disappearing with Lori and Mel.
The three of us made our way to the restaurant, picking up a table for the six of us. Aileen offered to order for all of us, so it was left with just Aria and myself.
“I'm going to the restroom," I told her after a few minutes. She nodded, already standing up to go with me but I shook my head. "It's literally five feet away.” It wasn't, but she could see it from where she was sitting.
I made my way towards the restroom, feeling Aria's eyes on me as I left.
The moment I stepped into the restroom, the same smell that made my last trip to the mall annoying, but my nostrils and I rolled my eyes. Of course she was here again, it wasn't like she had any idea on how to run a pack.
“Are you stalking me, you good for nothing Omega." Iris' familiar voice asked, crossing her arms in front of her. “And where are your bodyguards? They decided you're not up to their standard?"
“Why would I do that now, Iris?” The words slipped out, catching her by surprise.
She recovered after a few minutes, “because you don't have a life…are you a cleaner now?” She asked, taking a step towards me but this time, I stood my ground,
Before I could respond, I felt a familiar presence growled in my head…she couldn't have chosen a better time. “Hey sleeping beauty." I called and she chuckled.
Fuck! I've missed her voice.
“Let's teach this bitch a lesson first and then we can catch up.” She said.
"Cat cut your tongue, Omega?” Iris asked, and thinking about it now I wonder why I used to let her get to me.
“Call me an Omega one more time,” I started, my voice dangerously low. “And I’ll show you exactly who you are talking to.”
"Y-you think because you're not in the pack anymore, you're something now?" She asked, “I'm still your Luna." She raised her hand to hit me but I was faster, grabbing her neck.
“I warned you, don't test me." My hand tightened, causing her to let out a muffled groan.
“What do you think you're d-doing?” She managed to say.
I chuckled, “you tell me, what does it look like?"
“You’re going to pay."
Nira laughed, “And who's going to do that?" She asked, “I'm tempted to put an end to this once and for all." She added, before my hand loosen on her neck, and she took several breaths.
"Next time…there better not be one, it's not going to end well for you." I told her before turning to leave, the urge to use the restroom had long disappeared.
“What took so long?” Aria asked, “I had to stop Tristan and Mel from coming to look for you."
“I had to deal with something." I replied and they all turned in the direction of the restroom, looking for what the ‘something’ I was dealing with.
I sat down, trying not to think about what just happened. On a normal day, I wouldn't even think about talking back to her and I felt a rush of energy earlier.
We ended up taking the food to go, and just as Tristan opened the door of the car, I heard my name and instead of Iris, one of the Omegas, who wasn't my friend but she wasn't horrible to me either.
She moved to hug me, but Mel was fast to stand in front of me, only moving aside when I asked her to. She hugged me before telling me I looked good and that she was happy for me. Apparently, she'd come along with Iris, to help her with her bags.
“Is everyone from your previous pack weird?" Aileen asked and I just shrugged.
The ride back was shorter and what happened in the mall was quickly replaced by the excitement of getting my wolf back. I couldn't wait to see the look on his face when I told him.
“I’ll put this in your room, Luna.” Tristan announced when we arrived at the pack house. But I only nodded before going towards Zayne's office but he wasn't there. I traced his scent which took me towards the dungeon.
"Luna—" Mel called, “I don't think Alpha Zayne wants you there."
I ignored her and this time, it wasn't because of Zayne but a smell that I hoped to the moon goddess was only in my imagination. The warriors looked skeptical but didn't try to stop me.
When my eyes finally landed on the figure in the ground, his face was unrecognisable. “Jace?" I called, unsure. Hearing his name, he pushed himself upward.
“Ally?"
I ran to him before I had time to process it. “Loose his hand!" I yelled, " now!”
"Are you okay…sorry…what are you doing here?”
He coughed loudly, “funny story–”
He was still trying to say whatever he had in mind when loud, angry footsteps filled the air. I didn't need to perceive the smell before knowing it was Zayne, the warriors looked like they wanted the ground to open up and swallow them.
“Get your fucking hands off her"
