N A T A L I A.

The place where I was being taken to was dark. It was underground and that was where Rome was being treated. "Why did you keep him here?" I asked, my body was shivering, the place was really cold.

"He is being treated by the witch, this is her workshop." He explained, I nodded.

"Oh," I simply said, something didn't feel right though. I didn't understand why he was bringing me here.

"Avanti!" He called and a tall woman walked out, she looked very pretty, she was smiling at me.

"Where is the Lethal king?" Simone asked.

"You came right on time Simone," Avanti said, Avanti also happened to be a Dragon, I was so shocked staring at her. My king was still alive, though, from the buildings I saw, I knew they weren't much.

"He's awake?" Simone asked and Avanti nodded.

"Good! Come, Natalia." He's said, he said. I nodded and followed behind him, we entered a very beautiful room, Rome was sitting on a chair and staring at the ceiling.

"Rome!" I called out to him, he turned around and a smile immediately danced its way onto his face at the sight of me.

"Natalia, I see you've seen your brother." He said, I nodded my head and walked over to him. Simone walked in as well and he looked so chill staring at Rome.

"You guys have some explaining to do, why aren't you guys at each other's neck?" I asked, I was so pissed off.

"Because I never killed the Dragons!” Rome said, I raised a brow.

“Then what happened?” I asked, I was so confused at the moment.

“Rome never meant to kill us, the black magic was a curse. Though it didn’t turn out well and killed so many dragons.” Simone explained, I was so confused, I didn’t understand a thing he was saying.

“You mean he mistakenly killed us?” I asked they both busted into laughter. I knew my words sounded very dumb but I said them anyway.

“Yes, I didn’t mean to kill the whole dragons, I only wanted to curse them, but my powers were too powerful.” He said.

“That means you knew Simone was alive?” I asked, and he looked away.

“He couldn’t tell you because of the curse,” Simone said, I raised my brow, I didn’t understand what they were saying.

“The curse that makes no one love you?” I asked he nodded.

“Yes, that curse, it was instigated on me by Amazonia, not Emerald.” He said I was super confused.

“Why did Amazonia do that to you?” I asked.

“I tried to resurrect Emrald’s body, but apparently, that’s against nature. So Amazonia cursed me to never find a mate,” He explained. I was still very confused.

“But then how did you find me?” I asked.

“Before Amazonia had put the curse on me, I had already found you, when you were ten years old.” He explained.

“Then why didn’t you tell me about my brother? I was so certain he was dead.” I said, crying, Simone stared at me with pity in his eyes, and I also felt my pain.

“I found Simone when I came here to break the curse one week ago, I never knew they were alive.” He said. I was so confused.

“What do you mean Rome? You came one week ago?” I asked.

“Yes, that was when I met him and he captured me, but then I’m the lethal king, bars can’t hold me.” He said. I didn’t fail to hear the price In his voice as he spoke.

“Wow!” I simply said. “So you knew all this while that they were here?” I asked he nodded.

“I had to pretend like I didn’t know anything, but I did it for your good so that Simone’s message would pass through, without that, you wouldn’t have gotten his message.” He explained. I could only nod as he spoke, I was very shocked.

“Natalia, you need to sleep, Rome can you help us?” Simone asked and Rome snapped his finger, we teleported to a room and Simone wasn’t with us.

“Why did you keep all this from me? I’ve been of the thought that you killed my people.” I said. He sighed.

“There was no need to tell you, Natalia.” He said, he sounded very cold. I didn’t understand what was wrong with him.

“But still, I would have loved it if you had,” I said, he smiled. He was looking and behaving weirdly, as though he was under some spell.

“You know I care about you, that is why.” He said. I felt a sudden wave of breeze in my heart as he uttered that, I was really happy and I couldn’t understand why.

“I care about you too!” I said, he smiled and got and grabbed me, and he brushed my hair calmly.

“I know!” He said and with that, he seized my lips and kissed me in the most sensual way possible. I felt pleasure run through me as his lips nibbled mine, it was very nice and I couldn’t help the moan that escaped my lips.

We departed our lips, “Can we stay here for two more days, I want to have a tour of Amazonia, and I also want to spend time with my brother.” I said.

“I have things to do Natalia, I’m a king, remember?” He asked,

“Please, just two days, I promise we’ll head back after those days are over,” I pleaded. He sighed, he then brushed my hair calmly.

“Okay, Natalia, we’ll stay here for just two days, okay?” He said and I nodded, I hugged him tightly and he held me as well. I didn’t know what I felt, but it was as though something wasn’t right and a part of a puzzle was missing. I felt strange, In a way that I cannot explain. It scared me a lot and I didn’t want to understand, I just loved the fact that Rome was with me at the moment, and in my arms.
