Chapter 34: Thirty four

"Where is he?" I yelled at the woman who stood before me. I was very scared, I knew what she had just said might be true. I immediately pushed the iron bars harshly and they shattered, I then held her by the neck.

"Take me to your king!" I yelled, the fear in her eyes was very evident.

"What is going on-" The voice of a man blared through the dungeon. I turned around to find him, my brother Simone. "Simone!" I called, I let go of the woman and she slumped on the floor.

"Natalia, you got my message." He said, I nodded while crying, I walked over to him very calmly, I couldn't believe this was my brother.

"Simone!" I called, I pulled him into a hug, and I hugged him tightly. "Is this truly you?" I asked, I broke the hug and stared into his eyes.

"Yes! It's me, Natalia." He said he was in tears. He looked just like I had last seen him. He looked just like the day he had saved my life.

*FLASHBACK*

My head ached badly as I flew in the dark smoke, I could see from below how so many great dragons were falling to the ground. I was very weak and I knew I was going to lose this anytime soon, I tried my best to continue flying but I was very weak. The dust was very bad and it had begun to cloud my breathing. I was slowly getting weak and my dragon could not take it any longer, he too was weak. Slowly, I found myself falling, it was over, I would never see my brother Simone ever again, my sister Amirah as well. This is the end for me!

"Natalia!" I heard my brother's voice call out to me. I found myself falling on his Dragon. "You'll be okay!" He said, I held onto him tightly. We flew for a while until we got to a house, the house looked abandoned. His dragon descended onto the surface and Simone carried me calmly, I clutched onto his shoulder firmly, he didn't look good at all. My brother was looking very sick and that scared me a lot as I stared at him.

"Simone, what's wrong?" I asked he didn't respond. He held onto me firmly and dropped me on the floor as soon as we got to the room.

"Simone?" I called, and he fell to the ground, I immediately fell to the ground and held onto him firmly.

"Simone, are you okay?" I asked, he was shaking violently.

"Natalia, promise me you'll hide here until you are grown enough to go out." He said, I nodded.

"But you'll stay with me right?" I asked. He chuckled, and he held onto my arm lightly.

"No, Bradox is with you, he'll take care of you, right Bradox?" Simone asked. I couldn't speak, my eyes were filled with tears. Bradox replied to him through the dragon minlink.

"Bye Natalia, your mate will keep you safe." That was the last thing my brother said before walking out of the door. I sat on the floor, that was how my life began.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

I and Simone were seated in his room. I was so shocked to have finally found my brother, but I was equally shocked to have gotten my brother back. I was certain he was dead all years ago, and having him back was so shocking.

"Have some food Natalia, I didn't know you were the woman the guards had captured." He said.

“Why didn’t you look for me?” I asked, even though I was excited about seeing him again, I was still angry at him for not looking for me.

“The dust sent us here.” He said, I raised a brow.

“What do you mean by the dust sent you all here?” I asked, I was very confused about what he meant.

“The lethal king didn’t kill us,” He said, I was so confused.

“Where is he? Did you kill him?” I asked, I knew I sounded very scared at the moment.

“Calm down Natalia, I didn’t kill him, we locked him up,” Simone said, I got up angrily.

“Why did you lock him up, Simone?” I said, I was beyond pissed off at the moment.

“Why do you care about him? That evil man tried to kill us all.” Simone said, I ran my hand through my hair.

“That evil man is my mate, Simone!” I said, he raised his brow and then took in a very deep breath.

“Natalia, I’m sorry, but the Lethal King will not be set free.” He said, I raised a brow.

“Why? He has done nothing.” I said.

“Natalia it seems he didn't tell you, The lethal king is cursed, at the moment his senses are going haywire, I had to have a witch inject him with wolfsbane.” He said, I gasped.

“Wolfsbane? That will kill him.”

I said.

“No, he’s immortal, it’ll only make him weak.” He explained.

“Why are you helping him?” I

Asked.

“Because he helped me, he brought you to me, Natalia.” He said I didn’t understand what he was saying.

“What do you mean by he helped you bring me?” I asked, all this felt weird to me.

“Rome will explain it to you when he’s okay, okay? Right now you need to sleep.” He said, I nodded.

“Where is Amirah?” I asked as I lay on the bed that lay in his room.

“She died, she could not make it.” He said, I nodded my head, and I tried pushing back all the tears that clouded my vision.

“It's okay!” He said to me. I closed my eyes and then opened them back up.

“I want to see my mate!” I said, I got up on my feet, Simime nodded and stretched his arm forward, I needed to see Rome, I needed to know what condition he was in. I was so scared, my heart kept on beating vigorously, I could only hope he was fine.
