I stared, shocked, at Liam. I looked away, debating if I heard him right, and then I turned back to him, but he still had that stoic expression on his face, which meant he said it, and I heard him perfectly right.

But how could he say such a thing after everything I have been saying since we came to the bathroom? Didn't he hear me tell him Alex is suspicious of us? And is asking questions?
