Chapter 49

Aleksander’s POV

I was woken up so early this morning by Nicholas's call. I just don't know why troubles wouldn't just end. I want to enjoy my woman but their constant calling wouldn't let me.

"What the heck is wrong this time?" I almost growled at him.

I knew he saw the dissatisfaction on my face.

"I'm sorry but a report got to me that the All pack and Blackwolf's pack are at each other's neck and they are planning to go to a war against each other," he said.

I could see anxiousness in his eyes. I know the reason because these two are the one that borders us and if they start to fight we would also be affected.

"They won't dare do that!" I said firmly.

Those two Alphas never like each other and I do not know why. They are both successful. If it was me they were both plotting against, it would be understood because they might crave for power but then it isn't me. It is just some unknown animosity between them.

" Your highness, according to my informant, it was said that they already chose the day to start the war. We must really treat this as a matter of urgency" he said hurriedly.

"Get me the council" I ordered

"Some are seated already and some are on their way. I know you will need them so I called them beforehand" he quickly explained.

I went to the throne room and I saw them seated.

"I don't have much to say. I will appoint a few of you to bother sides to go check out what is really going on between those two. Make sure to warn them about the war they want to go into. I won't tolerate any harm coming to my Kingdom" I said firmly.

That was all I had to do. I know my men are capable of dealing with the rest. It's only if those they went to meet decided not to listen that I will then give out my punishment. I stood up and left. I have a more important issue at hand than worrying about some stupid pack.

When I got back to my room Lisa was already awake and my heart skipped seeing her. I didn't know if I was scared or anxious or even at most, scared of getting rejected. I didn't want to gamble, I knew I needed to tell her. I can't wait to make her mine permanently.

"Lisa, I have something to tell you."

My voice seldom shook, even when I was at war, I was so confident even to the point of death but now, my confidence jilted me.

Telling Lisa to marry me was a very hard thing. It was harder than me going to catch a criminal

I was sweating inwardly waiting for her reply but then I got a positive reply and I was so happy to the core. Now I'm going to have this woman all to myself.

"You should call your family and tell them about the wedding," I said to her.

I was so excited to meet the people that birthed such a wonderful woman. I couldn't wait to meet them.

She sat up and bowed her head. This made me start to wonder why the change of mood. Her face wasn't looking so happy

"One I don't have a phone and that's because I left it in our pack when I was coming here......"

" Why?" I asked.

" I thought I was going to die here. You know the rumor about you got me so scared of you" she said with a smile on her face.

The rumors about me, I wasn't deaf to them but I never did a thing to correct them. I never cared about them. I feel it is their problem but hearing that I almost lost my woman because of that? It made my heart twitch a little.

"Don't mind them" I said to her tapping her face

"Why did you allow such a rumor? Just one word from you could have done justice to it" she said.

" I didn't care about what people said those times but now that I hear that I almost lost you? I kinda feel angry" I replied, hugging her.

" Well you didn't" she grinned.

I remembered that we were talking about how to tell her family about our engagement.

"Do you want me to get you a phone to call your family?" I asked her.

" I don't have one," she replied.

I was surprised. How could someone not have a family? I don't even know how I could survive without my siblings. They are like my backbones even when we lost our both parents. I held her hand and gave it a little squeeze and she smiled at me.

"What happened?" I asked.

Although I was guessing what might have happened because of how sad her face is, I still wanted to be accurate.

"My father told me that my mother died in an accident when I was so young so I didn't know her and my father died two years back. I don't have a sibling and I don't know my grandparents. I'm all alone" she explained.

I didn't even know how to console her, because I haven't consoled anyone before. I just hugged her imagining what she would have gone through all by herself. This woman in my arms is really a gem that I found and I'm sure going to keep her safe all my life.

I had victoriously told the council that my wedding is going to hold in the next one month and hired a teacher that would teach Lisa everything about our pack

I got busy because of the war between the two packs that border us. It wasn't a little issue like I thought mad I had to intervene before they ruin things. Each of them claimed that they were right when they are not.

I couldn't see my Lisa because I had sound work to do and I could only ask after how she was doing with Ava.

"How is my woman doing?" I asked her when she came to my office.

"Show off" she snorted and then chuckled.

" Whatever," I said blankly.

"Well, she's doing great, even her teacher seems quite pleased with how she knows a lot about being a luna. She said it seems like she has once taken the Luna lessons before" she replied.

I smiled at the comment I heard but then it also got me thinking. Knowing the duties of a Luna is not something anyone should know. It is learned. Even if she's smart enough to pick some of the Luna duties, there are still some she shouldn't know. I was going to ask her when I have the time.

The preparation for the King's celebration is going on and everyone in the pack was so excited. For years now I have killed the celebration and now it is resurrecting again. I am sure they missed the celebration. Every pack around will definitely be happy. As I allowed this celebration, so was I and my team very vigilant because it is a way to also invite the enemies.

Not even my council knows what I have in plan. My security plan. Now I have a Luna and I must say, they will surely want to target my Luna and I will protect her with my life.

"How did you get to know so much about being a Luna?" I asked Lisa.

This time she didn't sleep, she had waited for me. I wasn't so pleased even though I was happy because I knew that she must be very tired from her classes

"I almost became one," she said to me with a stiff smile.

My heart skipped as she said that. Does that mean I would have lost her? Or better still wouldn't even get the chance to meet her at all.

"Tell me about it," I said to her.

Lisa and I spoke for a very long time forgetting that she needed to go to sleep. She told me how she and the Alpha of her pack were in love. How he had taken her in and taken care of her after the death of her father. She also told me how she rejected her mate because the Alpha had told her to, after professing so much love to her. But then she got betrayed a few days to her becoming the Luna of the pack.

I wasn't happy with the story I was hearing. I didn't know why I had to get jealous of the one who had already left my woman but with the way she was talking, it seemed like he made her really happy. I don't know if she was asked to choose between the two of them, maybe she would have chosen him.

I'm not a romantic man and he seems to be. I have fears that he might come back to take my woman. This thought hit me gritting my teeth. I wanted to stop her from talking about what they do together but then it would make me a jealous man. I don't want her to be scared of me.

With all that she had said, one thing brought joy to my heart and covered my jealous heart.

"With how loving and caring Adrian was, I didn't know why I wouldn't let him touch me. It's not that it was intentional. We never went past kissing. Anytime he tries to do more, I get scared and my body starts to act up but with you Ander, it's so different. It's like my body was waiting for you. The very moment I saw you, I wanted to be in your bed" she said with the sweetest voice I've ever heard.

If she had known what she just said had done to me, she would know how priceless she is to my heart. The way I was happy right now, I could dash drone half of my kingdom without even knowing.

"You were made for me baby," I said to her, kissing her forehead.

" Yes," she looked at me smiling. "Thank you, Ander. You are the reason I didn't regret getting betrayed. Thank you for not rejecting me because I'm a slave

....."

" You are not a slave. You are my woman" I said and kissed her head. " You will soon become my Luna," I said my heart.

" I'm still grateful to you, Ander," she said with her eyes showing how happy she was even though she wasn't lying.

"Then show me," I said, bending my neck towards her lips.

I have missed this woman a lot. Me being busy has kept us apart even when we are so close. If she hadn't waited up for me, I wouldn't have been able to talk to her.

"Don't be naughty, Ander" she said, giving me her beautiful smile.

"Let me" with that I claimed her mouth and kissed it hard.

Another beautiful night between us. Soon I will make this last so long that no man can separate us, not even death.

I had to make a trip to the two packs when their issue seemed like it wouldn't get resolved. The two were so stubborn. If it wouldn't affect my pack, I would have let them be and destroy themselves but no one will touch my innocent people.

I then took Nicholas and Ava with me. Well, Ava pleaded to go with me because she wanted to leave the pack for a while.

I know this is because of Chris. She has secretly been visiting him in the room that I kept him in and that was the reason I didn't object to her request. I made people watch over Lisa for me. I was only going to be out for a day and will return the next morning. I wish she could take her with me but then I don't want to trouble her.

"She is a good girl ok," I said to her when I was leaving.

She laughed at me saying I was behaving like a father going on a trip. I laughed with her and I left. I kept talking to her on the phone because I already got her one and that made my mind at peace.
