Chapter 265

After Ian finished talking, Leon couldn't hold back anymore. He really wanted to smack Ian and teach him a lesson.

But Caitlin said, "Babe, don't get mad. Let's just go. We're gonna run into jerks like him again, and if you keep hitting people, we won't be able to do business."

Seeing Caitlin's worried face, Leon couldn't bring himself to upset her, so he just shot Ian a death glare.

Ian, noticing Leon's reaction, laughed smugly, "Caitlin, your husband is such a wimp. I've been mocking you, and he doesn't even react. You're so gorgeous, why'd you marry a guy like him? You should be with me instead. Otherwise, it's a waste of your beauty."

As he finished talking, Ian reached out to touch Caitlin's face.

Leon couldn't take it anymore and slapped Ian so hard he spun around.

Ian was stunned, and so were his goons and some bystanders. No one expected the usually calm Leon to suddenly snap.

After a moment, Ian came to his senses and glared at Leon, saying, "You damn fool, how dare you hit me? Do you know what the consequences will be? You're done for!"

Leon grabbed Ian by the collar and said, "You think I'm scared of your threats? Get lost!"

Then he tossed Ian into a nearby trash can. Ian struggled to climb out, covered in filth and reeking, making everyone steer clear of him.

Caitlin was puzzled. She had told Leon many times to avoid trouble, but he still taught Ian a lesson and threw him into the trash can. Although Caitlin felt satisfied, thinking Ian deserved it, she also knew Leon had stirred up trouble.

Caitlin was no longer the boss of the Sunshine Group and had no power or status.

Ian stood up again, furious, and called someone on his phone. "Vincent, it's Ian. Someone hit me. You need to help me get revenge!"

Hearing the name Vincent Lawson, the bystanders' expressions changed.

Someone asked, "Are you talking about Vincent, the gang leader around here?"

"Yeah, that's the one. He's the boss here, and no one dares to mess with him!" someone added.

Ian smiled smugly. When he finished talking, the bystanders were scared, and some street vendors started to panic.

Someone advised, "You better leave quickly. Vincent is a scary guy. We all have to pay him to set up our stalls here. If we don't pay, he won't let us sell anything. And he's a lecherous creep, so you should leave now, or the consequences will be severe."

Although their words were a bit exaggerated, they were true. Because Caitlin was so beautiful, everyone hoped she wouldn't meet a bad end.

But Ian sneered and shouted, "It's too late to leave now. Vincent will be here soon, and you won't be able to escape."

He made a gesture, and his goons surrounded Leon and Caitlin.

The bystanders were even more worried, but no one dared to help.

Soon, a group of thugs showed up. The guy leading them had short hair and wore a gold chain. Beside him was a woman dressed provocatively, with lots of tattoos, wearing black stockings and a short skirt, showing off her figure.

"Vincent, you're finally here. You gotta help me get revenge," Ian immediately said.

Vincent patted Ian's shoulder and said, "Don't worry, Ian. You've given me plenty of cash, so of course, I'll help you. Who hit you? I'll deal with him right now."

Ian pointed at Leon and said, "It was him. He's setting up a stall here without paying you and even hit me. You gotta beat him up."

Vincent sneered and said, "This is my turf, and you dare not pay? You got a death wish?"

Then he spat on the ground and said, "Kneel down and lick my spit clean. Otherwise, I'll break your limbs today."

After Vincent finished talking, Ian smiled smugly and said, "Didn't you hear what Vincent said? Kneel down now, or you're finished!"

Leon stood there, unfazed.

Caitlin stepped in front of Leon and whispered, "Leon, they're gang members. We can't afford to mess with them. Mr. Lawson, we just got here and didn't know the rules. How much do we need to pay? I'll give it to you right away."

Vincent was taken aback by Caitlin's beauty and then showed a wicked smile, saying, "Beautiful lady, are you the owner of this stall? Is he your husband?"

Caitlin replied, "Yes, Ian wanted us to compensate him, and we're willing to pay."

Vincent waved his hand and said, "No, you don't need to compensate. If you come home with me tonight, I'll forgive your husband and make sure you don't have any more trouble."

Vincent saw Caitlin as his next conquest. He had used similar tactics to take advantage of many women before. Those women were all terrified of Vincent and had no choice but to agree.

The bystanders thought Caitlin was doomed. They angrily looked at Leon, blaming him for bringing trouble to Caitlin.

After Vincent finished talking, Caitlin frowned.

Although she had encountered lecherous men before, none had been so blunt. It was her first time dealing with someone like Vincent, and she didn't know how to respond.

At this moment, Leon smiled and said, "Honey, don't worry. Let me handle this."

Leon pointed to the nearby trash can and said, "Your name is Vincent, right? Get into that trash can and kneel, and I'll forgive you. Otherwise, prepare to become a cripple."

Vincent had been smug, but after Leon spoke, he was stunned and glared at Leon with cold eyes.

In all these years, Vincent had never encountered someone as bold as Leon, making him furious.

Everyone else noticed Vincent's expression and thought Leon was done for.

Leon was practically asking for death, daring to speak to Vincent like that!
