Chapter 265

At that moment, Vincent's girlfriend, Elisa Knight, suddenly giggled, "Babe, this guy's got some nerve. He doesn't respect you at all."

"Totally disrespectful." Vincent's eyes turned icy as he responded.

He'd been the big shot in this neighborhood for over a decade, even the police chief treated him with respect.

But now Leon dared to humiliate him in public? And wanted him to kneel by the trash can? What a joke!

"This is your last chance. Kneel down and lick it clean," Vincent sneered.

The crowd fell silent. Everyone held their breath, afraid to anger Vincent.

They knew that crossing Vincent on this street would never end well, only Leon remained unmoved, his expression cold.

Elisa suddenly stepped forward and kicked over Caitlin's stall. "Don't you understand English? Kneel and lick! Are you deaf?"

Elisa, dressed provocatively, now looked like a shrew, clearly looking for trouble.

All eyes turned to Caitlin. The targeting was too obvious.

It was clear to everyone that Elisa felt threatened by Caitlin's sudden appearance, fearing for her position next to Vincent.

"Sir, just give in. If you don't kneel, there might be trouble," someone persuaded him.

"Young people need to know when to yield," someone sneered.

"Apologize and maybe Vincent will let it go," someone said to him.

"Losing a bit of dignity is better than ending up in the hospital," someone shook head, saying.

Hearing the "advice" from the crowd, Caitlin was stunned.

It was clearly Ian's group causing trouble, and Leon was just defending himself. Why should he kneel?

But to everyone else, Vincent was the king of the street.

If he said you were wrong, you were wrong, even if you were right!

If he told you to kneel, not kneeling was a death wish.

Leon looked at the scattered jewelry on the ground, heartbroken. These were Caitlin's treasures, painstakingly selected for her "startup," now ruined.

With a sigh, he looked up at Vincent. "If you don't crawl into the trash can, let's settle this another way. Call your boss here, have him break your arms and legs and apologize to my wife, or this won't end."

"What? You want Vincent's boss to apologize?" someone exclaimed. The crowd was in an uproar. They had seen arrogance before, but this was on another level.

"Babe, what are you doing?" Caitlin was panicking. "His boss must be a big shot. If this escalates, it'll be even worse!"

"Leon, are you crazy? Do you know who Vincent's boss is? Even if he comes to apologize, would you dare accept it?" someone accused him.

"He's a powerful figure. You think you can make him bow?" someone said with disdain.

"You're just a nobody. You have no right to meet someone like that," someone mocked.

Ian's group pointed at Leon, cursing. They had never seen someone so brazen and ignorant.

Caitlin shivered all over, sweat overflowing her forehead.

Having a mob boss personally apologize? Was Leon out of his mind? This was a death wish!

She fumbled for her phone, her fingers trembling as she messaged Stephen and Damian.

Though she hated asking for help, she feared Leon would be killed by Vincent's group if no one intervened.

Vincent was livid when he heard Leon demand his boss break his limbs and apologize to Caitlin.

He charged forward, cursing, and raised his hand to slap Leon.

But Leon was quicker, slapping Vincent first, sending him spinning.

A knee to the gut followed.

The once arrogant Vincent screamed and fell to his knees.

Elisa was also knocked to the ground.

In an instant, the couple was kneeling at Leon's feet.

The crowd was dead silent.

"You're dead! How dare you hit Mr. Lawson!" someone cursed.

"Get him! Kill him!" someone yelled.

A dozen thugs charged, steel pipes swinging.

Leon kicked the leader away, grabbed a pipe, and stabbed another thug in the leg.

In the blink of an eye, the thugs were writhing on the ground, wailing.

Everyone stared wide-eyed. Leon was this fierce?

Caitlin was completely stunned. She always feared Leon causing trouble, but this time he really did.

Leon patted Vincent's cheek. "Call your boss. I don't have time to wait."

Vincent glared at him. "Do you know who my boss is? He's William! You're dead!"

He fumbled for his phone. "Mr. Johnson! Save me."

Leon snatched the phone. "William, right? Three minutes. Get here and apologize."

As he hung up, the crowd held their breath.

This was absolutely crazy! Who was William?

A big shot, worlds apart from a small-time boss like Vincent!

Challenging William publicly was a death wish!

Hearing Leon, Vincent sneered. "You're finished. When Mr. Johnson arrives, you'll regret your actions. I won't forgive you, and I won't forgive your wife."

Leon, uninterested in arguing, picked up a steel pipe and struck Vincent's face, knocking out several teeth and making him scream in pain.

Vincent glared at Leon, seething but afraid to provoke him further.

Everyone thought Leon was doomed. Hitting Vincent meant he was in for more than just a beating.

Caitlin was on the verge of tears, unable to believe Leon's audacity.

Even if the Clark Family wanted to help, they might not be able to solve this.

Caitlin grabbed Leon's hand, urgently saying, "Leon, let's go. Let's leave Angel City and never come back. I'll go anywhere with you."

Leon smiled, "Why should we leave? This isn't our fault. They should apologize to us. Leaving would make us look guilty."

Seeing Leon's calm demeanor, Caitlin was at a loss for words.

She sighed, hoping the Clark Family would come to their aid soon.

Meanwhile, at the Clark Mansion, Stephen received Caitlin's message and laughed, "Has Leon lost his mind? If he's already running a stall, why provoke William?"

Damian asked, "Dad, is it the William from the mafia?"

"Yes, that's him," Stephen nodded.

Damian thought for a moment. "Dad, Caitlin's family is always causing trouble. This time they've provoked William. Who knows who they'll provoke next? Maybe Bradley. I think we should keep our distance. Otherwise, we'll get dragged into their mess."
