Chapter 181 Susan Also Came to the Exhibition

Hazel bent down and asked a question as they left the yard.

Lawrence turned his head, "No rush, it's almost time. Hazel, why are you more anxious than I am?"

Hazel pouted at his words.

Of course, Lawrence must have his own plans. Why was she getting worked up here?

More royalist than the king!

In the yard, Jason was already waiting by the car. Seeing Hazel and Lawrence approaching, he cooperatively opened the car door for them. After they got in, he walked around the front of the car and took the driver's seat.

On the way to the exhibition, Hazel leaned back in her seat and closed her eyes to rest.

"Hazel, don't forget to keep up the act with me later," Lawrence's voice suddenly sounded in her ear, causing Hazel to open her eyes slightly.

"Don't worry, I remember."

To make Susan reveal her flaws sooner, Hazel and Lawrence had started pretending to be in a cold war a couple of days ago.

This tactic was working. Susan had been visiting the Johnson Group more frequently these past few days.

However, Lawrence had already promised Daryl he would attend this exhibition. Otherwise, with the tension between them these days, it wouldn't be appropriate for them to attend together.

As the spokesperson for RH Aromatics, Mona was also invited to the exhibition.

When Hazel and Lawrence arrived, a crowd was already gathered around Mona for interviews. After all, as the winner of Best Actress in recent years, Mona's appearance at the exhibition was quite surprising.

"Ms. Schmidt, I see you're holding RH Aromatics products. There were rumors that you took on a spokesperson role. Is it for this brand?" one reporter asked. Mona smiled gracefully.

"That's right. Today, I'm here as the spokesperson for RH Aromatics. The perfume I'm holding is the product I'm endorsing. Ms. Anderson gave it a beautiful name, Reminisce. She said this perfume embodies the lifelong efforts of her mother and grandmother. Unfortunately, they passed away before it was completed, so the name is a tribute to them."

"This perfume is filled with heartfelt effort. Honestly, I've been a fan of RH Aromatics since their first product launch. After this exhibition, Reminisce will officially be available. I hope everyone will support it."

Standing behind Lawrence, Hazel raised an eyebrow as she watched Mona's speech on stage.

"Ms. Schmidt is quite the salesperson," she said, full of admiration for Mona.

She had initially thought someone of Mona's status wouldn't easily agree to attend this exhibition. But Mona had agreed without hesitation. Although Kassy might have influenced her decision, Mona's cooperation and promotional skills were impressive to Hazel.

"Looks like Kassy did you a big favor this time," Lawrence said warmly, already imagining the buzz RH Aromatics would get with Mona's presence.

After greeting some guests, Daryl spotted Lawrence and Hazel and excitedly approached them.

"Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, why didn't you let me know you were coming? I could've personally welcomed you," Daryl said, his voice full of enthusiasm.

Lawrence glanced at him, his expression returning to its usual coolness. "No need for formalities, Mr. Fields. I'm just here to take a look."

Their interaction drew the attention of many others. Soon, a crowd gathered around Lawrence, eager to seize the opportunity to connect with him.

After a while, Daryl led them to the second floor.

"Mr. Fields, you can go ahead. No need to stay with us," Lawrence said, noting the busy exhibition.

Daryl nodded, "Alright, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, feel free to call me if you need anything."

Hazel nodded, "Okay."

The view from the second floor was much better. Hazel immediately spotted Susan in the crowd below.

She hadn't expected Susan to attend the exhibition too.

Hazel cursed inwardly, her gaze growing colder as she stared at a spot downstairs.

Noticing Hazel's change in expression, Lawrence followed her gaze and quickly understood.

His deep eyes narrowed slightly, "She saw us. She's coming upstairs."

Hazel saw it too. As she looked at Susan, the latter clearly noticed her, especially when her gaze fell on Lawrence. Susan's eyes lit up instantly.

Hazel felt a surge of jealousy. Even though she knew it was all an act, seeing another woman openly coveting her man was infuriating.

"Lawrence, you really know how to attract attention. You're quite the charmer," Hazel said with a forced smile. Lawrence chuckled, pulling Hazel's hand into his palm and gently squeezing it, both comforting and teasing.

"Are you jealous? My heart belongs only to you. Those other women can't compare to you, Hazel. Don't be upset, okay?"

Lawrence's gentle words eased Hazel's jealousy a bit, but she was still somewhat annoyed. Just then, Susan arrived upstairs. Hazel caught sight of her and, in a fit of anger, shook off Lawrence's hand and spoke coldly.

"Ms. Knight is here. I suppose she's here to cling to you, Lawrence. You two seem to have a great relationship, even meeting at the exhibition."

Lawrence immediately understood Hazel's tone. She was acting perfectly.

Fortunately, he was facing away from Susan, so she couldn't see the affectionate smile he gave Hazel.

Hazel almost broke character under his gaze. This Lawrence!

Feigning anger, she glared at him before turning her cold gaze to Susan.

"I heard Ms. Knight has been visiting my husband's company frequently. Well, today you can spend time with your Lawrence."

With that, Hazel turned and left.

Susan watched Hazel leave, feeling elated. She had heard rumors of Lawrence and Hazel's cold war but hadn't believed them.

Now it seemed true.

She and Lawrence had grown up together, while Hazel was a later addition.

She couldn't understand why Lawrence liked Hazel. She planned to take advantage of this opportunity to win him over.

She believed Hazel and Lawrence would split up sooner or later.
