“Nathan, who owns this?!” 

Nathan followed the hand of Jesse and saw a nipple clip in his hand. He paused for a second and his eyes shook, his lips pursed as he shifted his gaze back to Jesse who was now coming down from the stairs. 

“I asked a question, Nath,” he asked again, this time more calmly but his puffy eyes shone with so much anger. 

“What do you mean?” Nathan asked, his voice steady, but the hand in his pocket had clenched tightly. 

He hadn’t expected Jesse to come over when he wasn’t around and even enter his room. He had forgotten how he had given Jesse access to his house and room. 

That nipple clip had been what he had used on Evans, and he had vented his frustration by throwing it into the bin, and also, it was not only the nipple clip but also the—

“What do I mean?! Then what about this lubricant?!” Jesse roared and pointed to the lubricant he had hidden behind him.

Shit! 

Fire burned through Jesse’s eyes as he glared at Nathan who looked at the things in Jesse’s hands. He had always denied the claim that Nathan was cheating on him no matter how much he had acted coldly to him or acted suspiciously, now he knew he had always been the joke! 

How could Nathan cheat on him in just a span of one month? Was the love he said he had for him that cheap? He had always felt guilty as he thought that Nathan would be single forever if he left but—

It seems Jesse had been too dumb to see things clearly. 

As Jesse thought of all this, he couldn’t stop the fire that had ignited inside him from spreading and blowing.

“Answer my darn question! Who the hell is that bastard?! Who did you cheat on me with? Did he seduce you?!” He yelled while flailing his hands around. 

Nathan just kept quiet and looked at him as he raged, his face was indifferent like this person who was raging wasn’t the man he had always loved and pampered. 

Nathan knew no matter what happened today, he couldn’t let Jesse find out about Evans. 

“Nathan!” Jesse cried out in frustration. 

“What response do you want from me? You already saw it, so what?” He said coldly like he was talking about the weather which made Jesse look at him in shock.

His eyes gazed at Nathan like he couldn’t recognise him anymore. The Nathan he knew would never treat him like this, the Nathan he knew…

Jesse closed his eyes as tears began rolling down his face, “But…Why?” he asked gently, then opened his eyes. 

Nathan paused, then a sneer appeared at the corner of his lips, he swallowed his saliva then looked at Jesse’s pale face with an intense look When Jesse had thought he would say something, he chuckled then began to walk away. 

Jesse stood rooted in the middle of the sitting room, his face had a confused look, then he turned around, “What do you mean by this, Nathan? You admitted to it, right? You cheated on me! Is this the promise you made to me?” he asked, then burst out in mocking laughter but tears poured down his cheeks. 

“The so-called protection and faithfulness is all this? The devotion you promised me? Love and trust? all this…” his voice broke as he talked. He looked at Nathan who had stopped at the stairs, then continued, “Who is he? As long as you tell me this is all a mistake or this isn’t true, I will believe you. Just tell me, Nath…Please, just say it. I’m losing my mind…” He cried out and pleaded submissively.

Nathan who stood at the stairs clenched his fists which were in his pockets, his eyes which were as dark as night narrowed and different emotions flashed through them, his heart clenched just hearing the pleading of the man behind him. 

“Can I ask you a question?” Nathan suddenly asked. 

Jesse looked up and was about to respond when Nathan continued without giving him a chance to answer.

“Was it fun when you cheated on me?” 

Jesse's blood ran cold, his eyes that looked at Nathan froze, his body stiffened and his mind surged in different directions. 

Nathan turned around slowly, then began walking down the stairs. He stopped in front of the frozen Jesse and let out a gentle smile that terrified Jesse.

“Wh-what do you mean?” He asked, then suddenly became bold, “Are you trying to throw this back at me?”He asked, then his eyes widened in shock like he had just discovered something vicious about Nathan. 

“You’re so devious, Nathan! You cheated on me and now you’re trying to throw all this back to me? You actually accused me of cheating?! How dare you insult my morals?!” He screamed and pointed his fingers at Nathan. 

Nathan was speechless, he realised the man he had been with for so many years had a special talent—Being Shameless!  

Nathan kept his calm and kept looking at Jesse who kept on accusing him of shifting the conversation. 

“I never denied whatever claim you said. Yes, I had used that on someone else, what can you do?” Nathan suddenly asked with a sneer, then his eyes turned colder as he pressed in on Jesse who continued to move back. 

“What about you Jesse? You disappeared for a month with your manager, tell me what the relationship is between you both?” 

Now, Jeese turned dumb after he heard the question, his eyes shifted and his head screamed for him to do something but—

He gritted his teeth, “What are you trying to say, Nathan?” He asked.

“Do you take me for a fool? Do you think I wouldn’t know what had happened between you and your lover disguised as your manager?!” Nathan asked, “How dare you?!!” He roared. 

Jesse froze, he looked at Nathan and fell on the ground, but he kept shaking his head. 

“Nath…what are you talking about? I would never cheat—“ 

Before he could finish his words, Nathan flashed to his side, then grabbed his neck. 

“Urggh….”
